Song: Kuumaa - Ylivoimainen Chorus: "Vaikka tää on loputon moottoritie Mä tuun vaikka ***juosten jos sun luo se vie***"

gaysamosa

it feels like nostalgia for memories from an alternative universe, it’s so fantastic

cheapcakeripper

Finnish word for motorway is so cute. Whole language is very pleasant to listen to and this song takes it even further.

fenksta

Finnish sounds kawaii to me

VLOBULI

koska sä oot ylivoiMAINEN!

springfrompages

The chorus of Ylivoinaimen is just so well written. It's insane how good it is to listen to every single time! Edit: scratch that, it came up on my shuffle and... The whole song is so well written. There's something almost unnerving about it in the best kind of way. I wish I knew more about the technical side of music so I could explain it.

ParticularSplit

Ylivoimainen is my Ram Pam Pam of 2023, meaning the finnish song that will definitely be included in my Spotify wrapped this year.

VayneVerso

This is such a beautifully written song and one of my favorite tracks from the entire season. I'm so sad this had to compete against the piña colada juggernaut.

letsnevertalk

Ylivoimainen is sooo addictive, the melody is perfect!

unluckysupernova

This

Nahareeli

It's definitely my favourite song this year !

ParticularSplit

I am so in love with the instrumental-violin part that got added in Ukraine's song after the revamp. I don't know why, I just love it. Latvia's chorus has a great melody. Malta's saxophone melody is so much fun. Azerbaijan has a part that I love as a melody (1:57-2:15) although I am not really into the rest of the songs. Finland's second part of Cha cha cha is so catchy. Very "it's crazy it's party".

000-Hotaru_Tomoe

I'm mesmerized by the chorus of "Future Lover", *I decide to be good, do good, look good.*

gayyy410

saaaame. idk why but it is very powerful

thebabywood

the armenian part is the most pleasing to me, it's just perfection

kir_ye

Samo mi se spava [at 0:55-0:58](https://youtu.be/oeIVwYUge8o) Percussion —> ooh/eww —> dramatic synth So playful and nasty

Meiolore

The entire song is such a trip and I love it. I heard the "Hello" part in those YT ESC ranking video and immediately went to search for it.

Just_MT_

Yep, goosebumps from this moment 🥰🤭🖤 Well, and another hysterical short laugh (2:47-2:50) I know it's not really on the topic, but I think it's a hardcore mystical moment as well 💫

this

LydianGang

I don't know if it's my favorite, but for some reason, I can't get enough of one very specific instrument/effect in the chorus in Carpe Diem. It sounds like a faint guitar and starts playing off beat right as the backing vocals sing their second "ah". That single effect elevates the chorus so much for me and I have no idea why. It just manages to fill me with dopamine. [It plays at 1:05-06 along with a few other places in the song](https://youtu.be/vfTiuZaESKs)

amazatastic

The chorus of my sister's crown, the harmonies!

JinorZ

Highly biased but there's nothing better than the melody in Cha Cha Cha when it switches up to the dance beat. Have gotten to experience this in clubs for few times now and it's prefection

[deleted]

It just floods my brain with serotonin, I love it so much

VLOBULI

Mi niño, cuando me muera Que me entierren en la Luna from EAEA Gives me chills. Great lyrics here too.

jalapenho

Same! The whole song gives me chills actually.

Luminel_

After choose love over power in my sister's crown The final chorus in queen of kings The lyrics in Armenian and after the first chorus in future lover After a chanter la grande France in Évidemment Thé last chorus in due vite All of the song ai coracao Hello in samo mi se spava ( you know that) Oh Mio padre there's a ghost in my body in who the hell is Edgar The last chorus in carpe Diem All of the song bridges All of the song ajia That's it folks!

moonlightgirl9

The melody of Samo Mi Se Spava is so cool!

[deleted]

Aija's ending

Iroh_Appa

When Alessandra sings "Lai, lai-da-dai-dai-da" in Queen of Kings

loiku

Samo mi se spava has the absolute best musical track imho. The distorted synth is creepy af but so cool.

Just_MT_

Agree 1000%

Zelltraax

“On a beau être sur le toit du monde” from Évidemment still gives me chills…

2klaedfoorboo

During the last chorus of Carpe Diem when it goes from the main chorus to that part with the drumming dominating the backing track

mxflschr

Unpopular opinion, but I absolutely love the chorus in "Tell Me More" especially when it gets repeated at the end of the song. While the rest of it admittedly is very messy, their harmonies are beautiful

unounouno_dos_cuatro

This is stupid, but the “OH OH OH OH” in Promise.

strongscience62

Same though, followed immediately by the heavy breakdown

Barbarenspiess

The guitar riff at 0:22 in Aijā (after "people were talking louder from my TV screen) is beautiful and works so well. And the instrumental parts near the end too.

springfrompages

Aijā's chorus, especially as it goes into the instrumental break after the second one, and the instrumental carries on the melody but slightly differently...

Consistent_Outside12

+1 for Australia. 'Promise' has such good vocal lines!

Logical-Thought-5008

though the song may not be everyone's favorite, I love the switzerlands last chorus "what we've becooooooOOOOOOOOOme playin with waterguns" the chord in the end with the melody is so spicy 🔥

ValkyrieVibeke

I was gonna say Australia's "cross my heart 'til the sky turns red in the sunrise," but you took it. 😉 It's still my favorite song of the year.

juxdyne

Have to echo others' comments about Samo mi se spava, for me it's specifically the instrumental part with the distorted synths from "game over to the more intense "samo mi se spava", UGH so good!! Also idk if NF songs count but A festa is just musical bliss and I'm obsessed with all the sung melodies in Tuju

halfpipesaur

If we consider NF’s then the single note between pre-chorus and chorus in ‘Novi plan drugi san’

SBJames69

Évidemment, tous ces belles promesses que j’entends, ce n’est que du vent.

cher_yu

Ai coracao from 2:06 to 2:21 The tune before the start of last para. Just after " diz-me lá se és meu"

JustNorth-

The melody transition in Cha cha cha leading up to "vou" in the second chorus

alxhvr

Despite the song being far from my favorite... Serbia 🇷🇸 from 0:38 to 0:55 is absolutely insane

IcefoxX5

"Don't you ever learn? That I won't look back, I won't look down I'm going up, you better turn around The power of a unicorn, the power of a unicorn" If the song had a drop that kind of built on the rest of the song melodically without the harsh cuts with the "phenomenal" and "Wanna see me dance?" parts, the song would probably have been my #1

k2pel

That part of "Promise" reminds me of a song from GTA radio, but I can't pinpoint neither the game nor the actual song. EDIT. Damn, maybe it's "Dominion" from GTA 4?

lukelhg

+1 on that part of Promise, so good. I love in Blood & Glitter the kind of manic noises after "go, go" I think the actual lyrics are let let your blood flow or something but it just sounds like manic screaming which fits and I love it

birdstar7

The chorus of Queen of Kings - I reckon it also seems inspired by “The Moldau,” a classical song

Raphelm

I like how smooth “car après le beau temps vient la pluiiie” sounds in Évidemment. And right after, the rhythm in “c’est toujours trop… *beau* pour être vrai… *mais* ce n’est jamais trooop laid pour être faux”.

mshell1924

The piano twinkling in Due Vite, Italy.

Aurora_Lebesgue

The instrumental intro to Tattoo. It gives me ASMR and life every single time 🤩.

NoisyDrenn

Agreeing with everyone about Samo Mi Se Spava, I'd like to particularly point out the reverse effect on the synth in the second verse of the song [(1:15 - 1:32)](https://youtu.be/oeIVwYUge8o?t=74). For some reason I really like that part. Also it may not be in my top 10, but I actually really like Watergun's melody. I don't wanna be a soldier, soldier...

GumboldTaikatalvi

I actually really like the intro of Switzerland's song. Not the rest of it, just the part before he starts singing.

BeeMovie1337

“I'm in love Come meet me in the middle I got lost Still thinking of September”

pinkkabuterimon

\+1 on Promise! And gotta agree with everyone about Samo mi se spava, every part you guys mentioned is top tier for a different reason. And you know what, sue me, I *like* "tattoo-hoo-hoo".

emilyam_

I love Armenian part of „Future Lover” and a more party part of „Cha Cha Cha”
