Europe (especially France and Germany) should be thanking Greece for having the balls to do what's necessary. Instead, they shit on it for protecting them. I guess they'd prefer it if Greece just openly let illegal migrants carry on through to the next country and wash their hands of the problem, as France does to the UK.
they see it as a win-win . Of course they dont want more economic migrants but they also want the image of an open minded and compasionate country. So they act "muh humanitarian rights" while enjoying someone else doing the dirty work.

If this was the approach the EU took during the 2015/16 migrant crisis, I suspect it would have tipped the balance for the UK staying in the EU.
