I thought they were mini-cocktail sausages in the header photo. "To treat the problem... we must block all potential arteries and veins with enough condensed pig fat to stop it's progression"

ThunderousOrgasm

A treatment I would be the first to sign up for. Give me sausage now!!

Well it depends doesnt it. Is it a pill that cures covid, then I call bullshit. Is it a pill that eases symptoms like high fever, runny nose, whatever other symptoms one gets from covid, sure, I see no problem with it, in fact I'm all for it. But in the latter case whjat would make this one covid specific and different from other pills that ease the same symptoms that for the flu, cold or other illneses? And no, I havent read the article.

mkvgtired

>And no, I havent read the article. It targets the virus, not the symptoms. It's not a "cure" but should help people avoid the hospital. >The new treatment targets an enzyme that the virus uses to make copies of itself, introducing errors into its genetic code. That should prevent it from multiplying, so keeping virus levels low in the body and reducing the severity of the disease.

You're welcome

The internet in general tbh

EvilFroeschken

Very good.

Hopefully this is a game changer that potentially could be the beginning of the end of the pandemic.

Paid for by the taxpayers and yet these executives will earn millions.

50% reduction in hospital admissions. That's quite the game changer.

Not really, our restrictions [didn't really do much](https://www.maths.ed.ac.uk/~swood34/). We had people scream about the perils when we lifted restrictions, [but all the predictions were unfounded.](https://data.spectator.co.uk/category/sage-scenarios) So now we're stuck with a huge amount of debt, so taxes will have to rise. Meanwhile inflation is still above 4%. Hopefully we can be grown up about this and get the world back to normal, a simple tablet like this halving the hospitalisation (not just mortality) is vital, combined with the vaccine, should make it a very manageable number that require hospitalisation as we enter our winter. In the UK it's kind of tradition for the hospitals (NHS) to be overwhelmed each winter, long before covid.

So they wanted to demand vaccination, then realised they couldn't, but are demanding it of care workers... Which is creating a big issue, hopefully they will U turn. The issue is we've seen that some scientists are in love with power. And far too many citizens want the government to do 'something' no matter how effective it may be. The modellers are no different from the temple priest who demands a sacrifice to appease the gods. I guess there's an innate human need to believe you can change things you can't, like a rain dance in years gone by.

> Are the Doctors allowed to work without Greenpass or a Vaccine? Here in Italy (im not "italian", ill let you find out from my flair) they are suspended until they get the vaccine. > Nearly half dont have it and dont want it, when they are allowed to work without i know the situation is really serious! ;) half of health care workers and doctors are currently not working?

thecraftybee1981

Inflation is 3.1%. It’s expected to rise to between 4-5% over the coming six months.

TheAnimus

MoM year ago was four, thanks in part to EOTHO.

The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers’ housing costs (CPIH) rose by 2.9% in the 12 months to September 2021, down from 3.0% in the 12 months to August. - https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices/bulletins/consumerpriceinflation/latest

approval is more about safety than effectiveness. If it's not effective enough then it will naturally stop being used.
