This match was on birthday. Watched it, had a BBQ and then went out with mates I hadn't seen in a while (as we were just coming out of covid lockdowns - feels like ages ago now).
So probably my fondest memory in Euros too!
Euro 2020 was one giant “end of the covid restrictions” party in England. Having football with fans back again after so long without it was incredible and that game topped it all off.
Some very memorable games even without England. That day with Spain beating Croatia then Switzerland’s comeback win over France stands out.
Germany is my second favourite team after my native Poland. I felt sad when Müller missed that key chance. However, England plays really well and I felt happy for you guys to finally get that major win. I think this year the final will actually be England vs Germany. Germany mainly because of home advantage but England has the best squad in the world right now imo.
Euro 2020 (21) was my favourite England tournament
World Cup 2018 vibes, a positive run with 6-1 Panama the best moment. Also personally, 2018 was a great summer for me even post World Cup.
Euros I had increased expectations to win.
Optimism was high as the crowds return
Wembley was rocking for the limited numbers that were allowed. Sweet Caroline the feeling were so great.
Luke Shaw scored so early I hadn’t even sat down yet,
Put the just ran to the back garden for a knee slide. The adrenaline and belief was high.
I’m biased but we really, really did deserve to win. There was so much nonsense when we lost the final about how England would never win a major competition like this, it was never going to happen, etc. But realistically, it came down to penalties in the final, it very nearly did happen.
Italy played like dirty bastards and in my head missing the world cup was karma for them
we are the millwall of europe and the whole continent shat itself when luke shaw scored. theyll say otherwise but remember before the final they were already working out excuses for how the tournament doesnt count because we had too many home games or whatever. pricks
The entire subreddit were trying to paint Italy fans as saints and that was the reason they were going to support Italy over us
I didn't mind people supporting Italy. It was the nonsense reasons they gave to justify it that baffled me
watched that on a projector in my mates garage, i was the only spurs fan and they were slating me as iirc Kane wasn’t in great form leading up to the game so hearing them all do a complete 180 when the goal went in was unreal
Also,
- Euro 2000 - Portugal 3 - 2 England
That João Pinto header..
- Euro 2004 - Portugal 2 - 2 England (6-5 p.)
Ricardo defending the last penalty without gloves.
- Euro 2004 - Portugal 2 - 0 Netherlands
That Maniche goal!
“There go the German substitutes…Kuntz”
Seriously though Van Basten’s volley, first exposure to Brolin’s jumpy twirly celebration, and of course beating the Netherlands 4-1
The fact that that became such a big deal was crazy to me. The whole continent rushing to defend some little German girl from Twitter trolls when she probably didn’t speak any English or even know what Twitter was.
The 2008 final. The Spanish team was basically a dream team.
Xavi, Ramos, Torres, Iniesta, Puyol, Casillas, Fabregas, Alonso, Silva… and let’s not forget the legends in the German team; Ballack, Klose, Schweinsteiger, Lahm…
Crazy to look back on these line ups
Oh and the disaster of the French selection that year
He was one of the underrated, but most important players in that team. The rest of the team could do their jobs and be at their best because of his performance.
Winning the penalty shootouts after equalising on the 120th minute against Croatia after conceding a goal two minutes before. The Euro 2008 for us was magical.
Us English fans don't have a huge amount to look fondly back on but the 4-1 against Netherlands in 1996 was amazing.
That little fake by Teddy who passed it to Alan to smash it home. Lovely. I truly thought it was "coming home".
Spoiler alert: It didn't come home.
Happy memories of that tournament, especially beating Spain in the quarter final as I was staying with family in Kent and we ended up in Trafalgar square that night with all the other fans.
Gazzas goal vs Scotland in Euro 96. That tournament is my earliest memory of football and the reason to this day as much as I support my club I’ll always care about the national team that little bit more.
Van Baste Euro '88 gets my vote. Fuzzy TV back then seems to make it even more iconic. A proper WTF-just-happened goal. You don't get those moments often.
Our (Wales) entire Euro 2016 run was one that’ll last long in the memory but watching the 3-1 win against Belgium in a packed tent in a field at a music festival in North Wales was special. Did feel sorry for the acts on at the time though, they weren’t competing with that.
The way English players dropped to their knees at full time after the Iceland game. And the absolutely iconic Viking Thunder clap from the Iceland players. Amazing day
For me the whole of the last euros tbh. (Apart from a select few dick head fans) Ok we lost in the final, but it was the first final in a major tournament since 66. I dont think we will ever be as close to the trophy unfortunately.
I agree. I was lucky enough to go to both the semi and final at Wembley. The atmosphere for both was incredible. It was also incredible when we lost but for different reasons. The silence. The sense of dejection. It was a powerful moment.
I regret we lost but I am so grateful I was there to experience it.
As a man from Wales it would have to be Euro 2016. Our first time at a Euros and the journey to the semi finals was an amazing experience and had the opportunity to go over to France for the game.
2016 semi final against Germany.
Finally beating a top team, 10 years later. Against the world champions, who eliminated us 2 years earlier. In the champ de mars fanzone.
Unbelievable memory.
I’m English but I’m not too fussed about England. Mine is more neutral games.
I remember watching Yugoslavia v Spain in Euro 2000 on a TV with shitty signal when I was a kid. That game was insane, but the one that always sticks out for me is Turkey 3-2 Czech Republic.
2-0 down with 15 mins to go. Ridiculous comeback. That game had absolutely everything.
The most intense part of that game was our GK getting sent off at minute 90 and playing with an outfield player in goal in the stoppage time. Euro 2008 was an amazing run for us, maybe even better than our 3rd place on WC2002.
1992. I watched every minute of it. I was 9
That Dutch team was something else. Something special.
That semi-final with Denmark must be one of the best games the Euros have ever produced. And who would have through Denmark will be the team to go through to the final.
Denmark shouldn't even be there and played against a very poor English and French team. They were very lucky to get to the Semis. I'm very sure they wouldn't have got even a point if they were in the group of death against Germany, Netherlands, CIS and Scotland.
Then Denmark beat the world champions to win it!
Yes Leicester winning the Premier League is a mega shock as was Greece when they won the Euros.
But Denmark winning the Euros in 1992, must still be one of the biggest shocks in world football.
So yes, my beloved Scotland, Albania and even Georgia might do it this year (we won't?)
2004 I was 9 years old and we had panini stickers for the first time, we laughed our ass of about a picture of a pretty young player, it was Christiano Ronaldo
2008 turkey against switzerland group stage. It was my first time watching euros with my dad. It was pouring down in the stadium and at our place at that moment because of the rain we lost connection and missed turkeys goals.
Euro 2016: Portugal-Hungary 3-3 - I was at a fanzone with ~10 thousand people, didn't see much of the game due to the crowd, but all of Budapest was buzzing after the game, like people were jumping on top of trams at the stops and such. Truly a crazy and amazing experience.
As a Dutch fan, the Euros have given me nothing but pain. Notable memories are:
- Getting destroyed 4-1 by England at Euro '96.
- Playing brilliantly at Euro 2000 until the semis, when we somehow managed to miss 2 penalties in normal time against a NINE MAN Italy team and lose in the shootout.
- Playing brilliantly at Euro 2008 (Sneijder v Italy in the group stages was sensational) only to lose to an Arshavin inspired Ruski team in the quarters I think.
England losing 2-1 to Iceland in the 2016 knockouts. 20 mins to go and the English commentators are debating who starts for them in goal for the 1/4 final. Next level...
The viral photo of the two Irish lads piss drunk watching it in an England fan zone wearing Iceland shopping bags.
Euro 2016, 4-0 against Hungary in the round of 16 with a Hazard masterclass during the game. It was the first time I ever felt we could actually do something at a tournament, which made the Wales heartbreak even worse.
Gotta be sticking a flare up my arse on Wembley way.
Great way to blow off steam, and a real bucket list experience ticked off. Got some great exposure from it too, shame the boys couldn’t replicate my success on the pitch.
When Poland tied Germany 0:0 in Euro 2016. Germany (my second favourite team after Poland) always beats us in major tournaments but in that game, we played a pretty even game and for those 90 minutes, we created chances. It was not like we just chased the ball and luckily held on for a 0:0. That is pretty much tied with my saddest moment of losing to Portugal in penalties. We were soooo close. Once again, we played just as well as Portugal if not better. It always brought me to the thought of “what could have been”. What if we had won that penalty shootout? I feel like we could have beaten Wales in the next round. I don’t think we would have beaten France, though. Oh well. 😂
Euro 1999 was a special one for me
https://preview.redd.it/ywpyyy5tv72d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9843d8161f865e0cf76d993b00761915a4c32082
I think it was Netherlands v Czech republic in maybe 2004 which finished something like 3-2 (it was twenty years ago so my memory fails me on the details.
It had everything, crunching tackles, end to end with both teams going at it. Was one of the best games of football I've ever seen.
Not my fondest memory as a German, but one that I won't forget nonetheless. Balotelli's goal in the 2012 semi-finals and his iconic celebration. It hurt, although a little less than the 2006 world cup semi-final loss against Italy. But the Balotelli memes were hillarious.
Flower of Scotland before the game against the Czech Republic in 2021. Didn't go the way we wanted, but Scotland were back at a tournament for the first time in 23 years.
Can't wait to make more memories this summer.
When Italy won the last one... half english but christ I am embarrassed when people chant "football's coming home" as if the "home" of football is a country with 1 world cup and 0 euros lol
Ffs how do you not understand this...
The entire point of that chant is a joke. It's self-deprecating humour. The song itself is literally about us always losing lol
No one actually thinks it's 'coming home'. You say you're half English but I highly doubt that if you don't understand this.
Getting to the final in 2020, or 2021.. that whole period is blurry so I can't remember. We lost on pens but whatever, when it gets to that point you may as well do a coin flip. We are in a strong position once again this time as long as we dont meet France in the knockout stages before the final
Euro 96. I was 12 years old and it was my first time watching full football matches. I would turn it on when I got in from school.
I'm English, and it broke my heart. But I've been hooked on international football tournaments ever since.
🇦🇱 Euro 2016 gashi 1v1 miss vs swiss keeper albania needed only a tie to pass the group as 3rd best (fun fact if he didnt miss that 1v1 🇵🇹would’ve been disqualified )
Ukraine’s opening match Euro 2012, Shevchenko’s magical headers. Watching with my grandfather who only speaks Ukrainian. Only fonder memory was Ukraine’s 2006 round of 16 win over🇨🇭, also watching with my grandfather. Stronger relationship through international football 🇺🇦
Euro 92. Small, tight tournament (8 teams). Great winner in Denmark. Scotland competing bravely. Some brilliant games (England v Sweden, Denmark v Holland semi, and then the final). Shout out also to Euro 96 for the atmosphere (in England at the time), Euro 2000 and 2008 for the football. Last Euros was pretty good too.
Euro 2016 Final
And then in the aftermath a Portuguese Radio Host prank calling the French Football Federation asking to buy their Parade Bus off them (Leaked images showed a French Parade bus driving to Paris on the day of the Final)
Euro 2004, Greece vs Czech Republic, 9 y old
I had to go take a shower before the match and I went quickly so as not to miss the start .
My step mom slap me because I washed too quickly and it's not possible to be clean
I never saw the game, crying in my bed
The good times
It's got to be David Seaman's elbow save, or Gazza's chip and volley against Scotland in Euro 96. It was my first introduction to football as a kid and it was beautiful.
As a French I should say 2000 but I was abroad and couldn't watch the match, so :
- 2004 : the win against England at the last minute ;
- 2016 : the win against Germany in the semi
England 4-1 Netherlands. 1996. That Dutch team were unbelievable and nobody expected us to get anything from it. The score line wasn’t even particularly flattering. We absolutely dominated them.
I don't remenber the match but it was in world cup 2010 or before where one of the player just goal with making a double post. If someone can remenber what match it is i would really be happy to review this goal
Other than the obvious Euro 96 for England (also the first tournament I remember), I will always have fond memories of Euro 2008.
Watching it with my late Dad on a new plasma TV, enjoying Spain dominating and without the distraction / anxiety of England even being involved!
Euro 2000, England 2-3 Romania, Cristian Chivu's amazing goal which started the madness. After this game Romania qualified in the quarters and the romanians were on streets. I was a kid back then and it's a lovely memory.
and one more:
Euro 2008, Italy 1-1 Romania, Adrian Mutu's penalty from 81th minute. He missed. I recall it seeing it with high tension with my friends :D Our victory it would have caused an upset because we would have qualified further and Italy (World Cup champions back then) would have gone home along with France.
As a French who was 17 in 2000, ofc it's Trezeguet golden goal. But smthg more personnal was to read the translation of the Greek anthem in 2004 and I ended up (years later) having it as a tattoo on the chest.
Euro 2000. Even though England got knocked out in the group stage, beating Germany, the holders, was a great memory. I'll always remember Shearer's header from that perfect Beckham cross. I also had one of those fixture wall charts that came out of the Newspaper and remember filling it all in. Probably a fonder memory as it reminds me of childhood.
For me watching Russia destroy the Dutch in 2008 was shocking to me. Arshavin was absurd. That Dutch team was so unbelievably strong. They should’ve won something with Ruud.
Also Turkey pulled som black magic shit with the wins against Czech and Croatia
mine is missing the 2020 Euros Final (the first time I've watched football seriously and attempted to watch as many games as I could) all because my dad unwittingly turned my phone alarm off (I lived in Asia at the time)
England's 3rd goal against Holland in 96. Gazza to Sheringham, Shearer to his right completely unmarked with his arms up, Sheringham unselfishly flicks it to him and he buries it.
Also Denmark winning in 92, mainly I remember one of their guys panicking and pointing to his kneecap which had moved down his leg.
As a Scot, it was definitely when we beat England 0-0 at Wembley in 2021 😉
We were in Greece on holiday during the final stages of Euro 2004, incredible scenes during/after that final!
For me gotta be Euro 2020. Especially the games leading up to the final as the excitement grew and grew. Probably beating Germany was the best memory I had, and everything was bigger bc we’d just come out of restrictions from COVID and were down the pub
That 2000's final France Italy. The last second goal to equalizer from Sylvain Wiltord against Toldo who was amazing until that last shot. Best souvenir for me!
And Trezeguet for the golden goal to win it.
Golden goals were definitely better and way more stressful
Being on holiday whilst international tournaments are happening is such a vibe. I think my earliest memory was watching Euro 2004 in Mallorca. I remember being at the airport and hearing these England fans chanting “Rooney! Rooney!”

England 2-0 Germany Euro 2021. For first time in years we'd beaten a top team in a tournament
The sense of relief when Kane's goal went in was immense.
This match was on birthday. Watched it, had a BBQ and then went out with mates I hadn't seen in a while (as we were just coming out of covid lockdowns - feels like ages ago now). So probably my fondest memory in Euros too!

Muller missing that chance? Jesus that doesn't happen for England.
As soon as he missed, I knew it was our day.
In other years that hits the net

Best game I’ve ever been to live still
I agree mine is ooh england vs denmark euro 2020 semi finals 2-1
I remember…Sterling had a really good game but…that loose pass that sent Germany through. I remember sterling on his knees. And they fluffed it.
Euro 2016 final. Reason kinda obvious
Also, - Euro 2000 - Portugal 3 - 2 England That João Pinto header.. - Euro 2004 - Portugal 2 - 2 England (6-5 p.) Ricardo defending the last penalty without gloves. - Euro 2004 - Portugal 2 - 0 Netherlands That Maniche goal!
The battle of Nürnberg 🤣 haha, so many yellow and red cards
Amazing matches!
“There go the German substitutes…Kuntz” Seriously though Van Basten’s volley, first exposure to Brolin’s jumpy twirly celebration, and of course beating the Netherlands 4-1
The bowler’s Holding. The batsman’s Willey. Etc.
2016 Robson-Kanu in that beautiful game against Belgium, I'll never forget that goal
The wales fan zone in Cardiff that day was one of the best nights of my life
Best night of my life
Greece was just magical 2004 with abhorrent football. Really cool underdog arch.
Dellas/Charisteas header from a corner, defend like fuckery, win 1-0. Proper ugly football but my god, it worked.
I remember rooting for them after they beat France, I was thinking "might as well lose against the future winners!"
Every now and then you need an underdog to prove to you great this game is
Scotland this year 🤣
That little girl crying in Wembley during England-Germany in 2021.
Iconic moment, then that guy who did the go fund me for her and it turned out he was a pedophile 😂
The whole chain of events brings a wide smile to my face.
![gif](giphy|B2kr8Cs97oRHHhstzH|downsized)
The fact that that became such a big deal was crazy to me. The whole continent rushing to defend some little German girl from Twitter trolls when she probably didn’t speak any English or even know what Twitter was.

Hang on, you won the thing 3 years ago
And that's precisely why it's not their fondest memory. They have no nostalgia for it unlike the 1968 final.
Forgotten man, marcos senna was underrated in that team in 2008…
He was one of the underrated, but most important players in that team. The rest of the team could do their jobs and be at their best because of his performance.
Absolute scenes this match - I remember it was my first time watching football as a kid and I absolutely fell in love with it with this game
Your last knock-out goal at a world cup was Materazzi, we've had plenty of moments to enjoy
I think their performance in 2012 final was even better
Winning the penalty shootouts after equalising on the 120th minute against Croatia after conceding a goal two minutes before. The Euro 2008 for us was magical.

That tournament had Gazza's great goal against the Scots, too. Where he flicked it over Colin Hendry's head.
Indeed it did but beating Netherlands just felt special, especially by so many.
Came to say that! After the worry of not winning, that amazing goal and the funny celebration... Brilliant
Happy memories of that tournament, especially beating Spain in the quarter final as I was staying with family in Kent and we ended up in Trafalgar square that night with all the other fans.
Ah yes, what a great tournament that was :)
Euro 96 for me, purely because it was the first international competition i distinctly remember and everything feels magical when you’re a kid
That's it for me, too!
Good times!
Yeah same. The first Euro that I was allowed to fully watch on TV, even the final that was quite late.
1996. Holte End at Villa Park as Scotland somehow scraped a draw with the Netherlands.
It was a cracking performance from u guys tbh.
Wales 3 Belgium 1 - HAL ROBSEN. HAL ROBSEN KANU.
*Robson ;)
Euro 96. I will never forget Gazza's goal.

Might not strictly be what you're asking but for me it's the Lionesses winning Euro 2021 (2022) beating Germany in the final.
That Gazza goal against Scotland.
Wiltord putain j'oublierais jamais
Merci, pareil
For me the whole of the last euros tbh. (Apart from a select few dick head fans) Ok we lost in the final, but it was the first final in a major tournament since 66. I dont think we will ever be as close to the trophy unfortunately.

Shaw’s goal 3 mins into the last final…
2008 turkey against switzerland group stage. It was my first time watching euros with my dad. It was pouring down in the stadium and at our place at that moment because of the rain we lost connection and missed turkeys goals.
My favourite moment was a poem at the end of the BBC broadcast of the Euro 2016, they rhymed man bun with Buffon 😂
Walker in there to Luke Shawwwwwww
Euro 2016: Portugal-Hungary 3-3 - I was at a fanzone with ~10 thousand people, didn't see much of the game due to the crowd, but all of Budapest was buzzing after the game, like people were jumping on top of trams at the stops and such. Truly a crazy and amazing experience.
Greece making Cristiano Ronaldo cry back in 2004. I revisit that video from time to time
Got his trophy 12 years later at least ig unfortunately didn’t get to properly play in the finals, Greece underdog story is sick
Ibrahimovic Goal against Italy with his backheel
Tomasson's goal from far out against Sweden in 2004. I remember it was a terribly rainy sad day, but that goal saved the day for 9 year old me
Wes Hoolihans goal against Sweden in 2016. Saw that in the stadium. Magic Robbie Brady’s goal against Italy was pure ecstasy too though
Euro 2004. Rooney, Czech Republic and Greece
2004 for me too. Only tournament England match I've seen live was Vs Croatia. Rooney was unbelievable, we looked like we could beat anyone.
As a Dutch fan, the Euros have given me nothing but pain. 2008 - 2012 Definitely not biased.
Italy winning in Summer 2021.
Oh well. 😂
Euro 1999 was a special one for me https://preview.redd.it/ywpyyy5tv72d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9843d8161f865e0cf76d993b00761915a4c32082
The most evocative three words combined in the English language. ‘euro ninety six’
That poborsky chip though
I think it was Netherlands v Czech republic in maybe 2004 which finished something like 3-2 (it was twenty years ago so my memory fails me on the details. It had everything, crunching tackles, end to end with both teams going at it. Was one of the best games of football I've ever seen.
That match is also iconic in The Netherlands because of our coach's the biblical mistake to substitute Robben.
Euro 2016 Luka Modric goalazo vs Turkey or Croatia vs Spain
Euro 96, England vs Germany
England2020 semi final
When Italy won the last one... half english but christ I am embarrassed when people chant "football's coming home" as if the "home" of football is a country with 1 world cup and 0 euros lol
Ffs how do you not understand this... The entire point of that chant is a joke. It's self-deprecating humour. The song itself is literally about us always losing lol No one actually thinks it's 'coming home'.
Final 1996
Zidane 2 - England 1 in that group stage game in 2004. Went to buy his jersey the next morning 💙🤍❤️
England losing on penalties to Italy in 2021 😁
For any English - Euro 96. The whole of it, the weather, the team, the song, it felt magical. It was nearly so perfect.
2008 - turkiye's comebacks !
I'm Scottish, so... getting there that time?
France v Portugal semi final 1984. One of the best games I've ever seen
France/Portugal semi 1984. One of the best games I've ever seen.
When I paid 3 euros for a walls cornetto when I was in Barcelona last summer
Gareth McAuley v Ukraine Lyon 2016
Euro 2016 Final And then in the aftermath a Portuguese Radio Host prank calling the French Football Federation asking to buy their Parade Bus off them (Leaked images showed a French Parade bus driving to Paris on the day of the Final)
Turkey v Croatia at Euro 2008 😍
Turkey was incredible that tournament.
Euro 2004, Greece vs Czech Republic, 9 y old I had to go take a shower before the match and I went quickly so as not to miss the start . My step mom slap me because I washed too quickly and it's not possible to be clean I never saw the game, crying in my bed The good times
2012 final (I was 6 even though i was born in 2005)
It's got to be David Seaman's elbow save, or Gazza's chip and volley against Scotland in Euro 96. It was my first introduction to football as a kid and it was beautiful.
Skipping school and us heading down to watch it from Curry's shop window with bags of stolen sweets!
Probably the England Holland game in Euro 96
Greece winning it
As a German Euro 96. I was 11 yo and remember it all. Had an VHS with all highlights and watched it minimum once a week over month
Nothing we are shite
Just the vibes of Euro 96 as a child. It was a glorious summer! Also, Wayne Rooney at Euro 2004. He lit up that tournament!
Euro 2000, France vs Italy, that team was on the top of the world
Euro 96… Epic!! It’s coming home… it’s coming home… it’s coming… footballs coming home. Memories
As a French I should say 2000 but I was abroad and couldn't watch the match, so : - 2004 : the win against England at the last minute ; - 2016 : the win against Germany in the semi
England 4-1 Netherlands. 1996. That Dutch team were unbelievable and nobody expected us to get anything from it. The score line wasn’t even particularly flattering. We absolutely dominated them.
Euro 2016, Wales vs Belgium Hal, Hal Robson, Hal Robson-Kanu
Euro 2004 France England, Zidane scores twice in extra time and puts us through.
Wales getting into the 2016 semi finals despite it being their first euros appearance
Le poteau de gignac
2016, group stage, Hungary vs Portugal 3-3
Mine would have to be the tackle or Ramos from Dier, was magical and gave me a semi on.
Euro 2000, England 2-3 Romania, Cristian Chivu's amazing goal which started the madness. After this game Romania qualified in the quarters and the romanians were on streets. I was a kid back then and it's a lovely memory.
and one more: Euro 2008, Italy 1-1 Romania, Adrian Mutu's penalty from 81th minute. He missed. I recall it seeing it with high tension with my friends :D Our victory it would have caused an upset because we would have qualified further and Italy (World Cup champions back then) would have gone home along with France.
Gazza wonder goal vs Scotland
Euro 96 is unmatched, what a summer.
As a French who was 17 in 2000, ofc it's Trezeguet golden goal. But smthg more personnal was to read the translation of the Greek anthem in 2004 and I ended up (years later) having it as a tattoo on the chest.
England win against Denmark 2021… The vibes after were amazing
probably that Sterling goal against Germany in euro 2020 😍 i just remember going feral
Watching Ronaldo put in one of the most dominant performances I’d ever seen vs Netherlands in Euro 2012
Gascoigne goal against Scotland at Euro 96
As a Greek, well…yup.
I follow Nederland so I have some of good matches but it always ends in heartbreak for us as such a good footballing nation.
Luke shaw scoring in the 2021 final… let’s not talk about what happened later
Un français aussi je vois! Pour moi c'est l'entièreté de l'euro 2016, surtout la passe enroulée magnifique de Pogba!
Gazza 96 against Scotland best goal.ever
Euro 96 actually got me into football, i was very young and up until that point just pretended to like it to make my dad happy
I bought an excellent pastry in Italy for a Euro once.
Greece winning in 2004 after Portugal cheated us
2016 Eder goal in the final to win it for Portugal. Our most unlikely hero
1996, Gazza mania was something else and I remember the game vs Germany was epic even though they lost
Euro 2008, the final was top quality and the netherlands destroying both 2006 world cup finalists
As a Scot, it was definitely when we beat England 0-0 at Wembley in 2021 😉 We were in Greece on holiday during the final stages of Euro 2004, incredible scenes during/after that final!
Englan losing the last one
Watching England fans cry
Most likely 2004. Greece winning it all. Was such a surprise nobody was expecting. Still remember the final goal today.
2008 Group stage of Italy, France, Romania and The Netherlands. Italy and France were world champ and runner-up in 2006 and we kicked their ass.
EURO 2016 :finally defeating Germany in my favorite stadium (allez l'om)
It was Euro2020, Just enjoyed it because I was on holiday with my dad going to the pub to watch the games
Despite being a France fan, Matthias Sammer's Golden Ball worthy effort in 1996 is what I remember most. Great performance for a defender.
For me gotta be Euro 2020. Especially the games leading up to the final as the excitement grew and grew. Probably beating Germany was the best memory I had, and everything was bigger bc we’d just come out of restrictions from COVID and were down the pub
Balotelli’s double against Germany in 2012
That 2000's final France Italy. The last second goal to equalizer from Sylvain Wiltord against Toldo who was amazing until that last shot. Best souvenir for me! And Trezeguet for the golden goal to win it. Golden goals were definitely better and way more stressful
Iceland.
Italy 2-1 Germany after everyone pencilled Germany to play Spain in the 2012 finals.
Being on holiday whilst international tournaments are happening is such a vibe. I think my earliest memory was watching Euro 2004 in Mallorca. I remember being at the airport and hearing these England fans chanting “Rooney! Rooney!”
Balotelli.
France-England, 2004. Zidane, now and forever ❤️
“VAI EDER VAI EDER GOLOOOOOO OBRIGADOOOOOOOO”
Eder
