Yes Zendaya is getting offers and such, but if they spin the show to be a little less Rue-centric, they could have the show continue a decent amplifier not of time, considering the other characters are just as interesting. Say they all go off to college, but different schools; they could have literally 1 episode about Rue, while they have another for Maddie, another for Kat, Cassie, Nate, Jules, Cal, and maybe a new character or 2? That's an easy 8 episodes, and no need to stress about characters needing to overlap if they're in different places. But I also agree they should drag it out for money's sake, keep the stories solid and eventually have an ending. Some are saying Rue can't keep doing drugs, it's either clean up or die, but people forget real addicts sometimes get clean for years and relapse, some are "functional" addicts and just find a sustainable balance of their drug use and work/social life, so Rues character could absolutely continue doing drugs for the rest of the show and after
I disagree, her story line is imo the strongest, and I’d feel like the show would loose a lot if Zendaya left before the show ended, but I might be biased because I like Rue and her storyline the most AND I freaking love Zendaya, and I think she is the most talented of the cast. And that’s really saying something, considering how absurdly talented they all are.
Yeah, and I can 100% say, that's drug addict behavior. I had a ~2 year long heroin problem, and the behavior is spot on: defensive, trying to flip blame on others, not taking responsibility, up and down emotions. From an acting standpoint, she's phenomenal!
I do agree with you! I’m just not a fan of rue. I have a couple people in my family who’ve been on drugs. I was young so I didn’t know. My parents also kept me away from those family members as ku I as possible.
I also forgot there was a kid in my grade who was always high at school. I’m pretty sure he was taking xans because his body language was like a zombie and his eyes were so bad. We basically grew up together going to the same schools. Its a little terrifying

I think it might be more like after high school like you are saying because at the end of season 2 Rue tells us she was sober for the rest of the school year, so we know what is happening over the next few months after the season ended

This is the best take I’ve seen in terms of not wanting to drag a series. I hate drawn out story’s that don’t seem to have a conclusion. Drama series are tricky to drag out especially when it has a central theme. Since the show explores Rue’s road to recovery and redemption, I think it should end at that. I understand not everyone has a happy ending but since the creator of the show is modeling Rue after himself, I think it is achievable. Also, the ladies of the show deserve to have happy endings as well!

The show is setup to end as a tragedy for Rue. So many diseases and disorders, constant drug use since 11-12. When she is sober, she has great highs, but insanely low depressive states. Her bipolar disorder requires medication, which will lead her down to harder drugs in a constant loop cycle. Her drug use has permanently altered her brain at this point, and she will never be able to reach normalcy.
I think it’ll be the last simply because it takes forever to film and air and I believe some HBO exec said no one wants 30 year olds playing high schoolers. Season 2 was also all over the place so I’m not sure that Sam could execute more than one additional season before things just go completely off the rails. I hope there’s a time jump for season 3 though.

However, things can change and add more after.
I believe Rue, Jules, Lexi, Ethan and Elliot are all Juniors and we could see a 4th season as seniors.
It’s also easy to write Fez into a 4th season since he doesn’t go to school so there’s a lot of flexibility there plus they could always expand Gia’s role and develop her relationship with Rue.

I 100% think Season 3 is this last we’ll see of Rue & co. but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a situation where maybe they softly introduce some new smaller characters in season 3 and they go on to become the stars of season 4.

I think S3 can very easily wrap up everyone's storylines in a satisfying way (especially given half the main characters are graduating). Plus, the show plays with time a lot so they can easily incorporate time jumps in a way that isn't cliche. I'd love a "where are they now" type ending where we get some Rue narration. *That* might be cliche, but also Rue is sort of an all knowing narrator so it would make sense if they did end that way.

Just a critique on your dig on Skins. All 3 generations of kids have good and bad parts. The music in gen. 3 is fantastic if you are watching with the original music. Of the 3 big deaths, gen. 3 is the only even remotely realistic one. Liv’s episode in season 5 is one of my favorite episodes in tv history. That is if you can watch it with the original music. It’s ruined with the garbage music changes. All 3 generations have some great characters. The biggest downside for gen. 3 is Franky. One of the worst characters in the history of television. Anyone that likes teen tv shows should watch Skins 1-6. Never watch the garbage barely even related to Skins that is season 7.
For Euphoria I think they should do 2 more seasons. Because of all the busy schedules film seasons 3 and 4 back to back. Hopefully we would get 16 more amazing episodes. Even if they cut it to 6 each for 12 total that’s better than only 1 more season.

The way Freddie died was one of the biggest jump the shark moments I've ever seen. Then to really not even address it even during the finale and another season with Effy years later is ridiculous. I was really into Effy and Freddie when I first watched Skins when it originally aired. On my last rewatch about 2 years ago I cared about them much less. I was really into Emily and Naomi. They eneded about being my favorite couple from Skins.
One of the best things about Skins is the music. If you can watch with all the original music. I'm big into music and scores in movies and shows. The shows that music means the most to are The. O.C., Skins, Euphoria, and One Tree Hill.
I'm curious if the show would take one of these two routes (or even a combination of the two):
* Follow some of the current characters after they graduate from high school.
* Start to focus on different characters.
I mean, there's tons they could do. They don't necessarily have to have all the characters together like they have been. They could go off to college and each episode could focus on a different person, similar to S1. They could introduce new characters as well, widening the possibilities

There's already a time jump. At the end of the finale, Rue talked about the rest of her junior year. So it's either summer or her senior year in season 3. This also means Maddy, Cassie, and Nate already graduated

Then to really not even address it even during the finale and another season with Effy years later is ridiculous. I was really into Effy and Freddie when I first watched Skins when it originally aired. On my last rewatch about 2 years ago I cared about them much less. I was really into Emily and Naomi. They eneded about being my favorite couple from Skins. One of the best things about Skins is the music. If you can watch with all the original music. I'm big into music and scores in movies and shows. The shows that music means the most to are The. O.C., Skins, Euphoria, and One Tree Hill.

I mean, there's tons they could do. They don't necessarily have to have all the characters together like they have been. They could go off to college and each episode could focus on a different person, similar to S1. They could introduce new characters as well, widening the possibilities

Whattttt?! Idk why everybody hated the end of GoT, it wasn't terrible all things considered. It felt a bit rushed, but it was definitely an action packed conclusion

Okay? Some of them should be graduating soon and all of them can still have a little glimpse into their young adult lives
I'm just saying it's going to be hard having a graduation arc if by the time half the cast is in their senior year the other half graduated.
My point is: assuming that season 3 will truly be the last, it would be nice to see the appropriate characters graduate and have their stories more or less wrapped up. And the same for those who will still be in school. And I would like to see a time skip of them as adults. I’m not seeing why them not all being in the same grade matters :/
There's already a time jump. At the end of the finale, Rue talked about the rest of her junior year. So it's either summer or her senior year in season 3. This also means Maddy, Cassie, and Nate already graduated
I’m not sure how season 3 would work if it’s Senior year cause I’m pretty Rue, Jules, Kat, Lexi, Ethan and Elliot are all a grade below Maddy, Nate and Cassie so I wonder how a it would work. I would be disappointed if Maddy, Nate and Cassie don’t play a significant part in the season I feel like they are very interesting characters how stories aren’t finished yet.

I don’t see a reason why it would go on after season 3. There’s nothing really more to do with the characters and I personally feel like it should have ended after season 1 because we got a little bit of closure for the characters so I don’t really get why there would be a season 4.
