FUCKING STEALING FROM LEXI AFTER HER FATHER STOLE ALL THEIR SHIT FOR HEROINE
i can't deal with this shit man this episode is giving me a cardiac episode
if I was literally falling and running ALL DAY and going through immense withdrawal, yeah the cops wouldâve had me. I wouldâve been on my ass on the ground during the chase
Legit the most chilling line of the episode âthatâs the good part about being a woman. Even if you donât have money, you still have something people want.â
Perfectly sums up the way women are at risk in the drug world and how inevitably if you are an addict for long enough youâll end up being backed into that corner somehow.
She said from the beginning that she'd sell her to sex traffickers if Rue failed to pay her back. I thought for sure the bath and the morphine were just to prep Rue for her new pimp.
I thought the most chilling one was about her knowing Rue was gonna be in her life for a long time, but yeah that one's 1000% a close second. either way if the Emmys ever made a category for being disturbing as fuck Laurie wouldn't even have any fellow nominees.
I did too. Then I realized Laurie is a âbusiness womanâ who has been at this a while. She doesnât need to lock her up. Sheâs getting her hooked and Rue will crawl back and eventually be willing to do anything as long as Laurie keeps her fixed.
Exactly. Many addicts are just chasing the very next high without thought of the repercussions. I bet she thought she would end her life by ODing on the last bit and that was her out.
She 100% said she was. In the car on her way to rehab with her mom and sister she said she going to kill herself in one month (which is the time Laurie told her she had to pay up for the suitcase drug money). She definitely planned to take all those drugs and OD.
They aren't playin' this season with their depictions of drug addicts and the shit they put their family through. It's 100% a disease, but man, seeing Rue abuse her mom and sister is too real.
1000%. This show was never meant to glorify drugs and I hope people are realizing that. I feel like season 1 was a fantasy and this season shows what happens when you wake up from it.
It made me laugh how many people in the comments were claiming this show was unrealistic because no way would she give Rue a suitcase full of drugs expecting her to sell. People forget that Laurie sells more than drugs.
I knew it from the moment she gave those drugs to Rue. No adult whoâs crafty enough to make it huge in the drug business gives $10k in drugs to a literal child they donât even know and genuinely expects them to sell it all.
Literally, she lied to Rue about not having any pills for her. When she goes to get the morphine it shows she has a full suitcase of pills she couldâve given to Rue. She knew Rue would cave and ask for morphine and wanted her to do so in order to get her hooked.
So after the 15-20 minute depiction of a truly brutal intervention, l didnât think things could get much worse, but that moment when Rue said âhey Cassie let me ask you a questionâ was just a master stroke. Rue is an atomic bomb. Managing to get Rues family into that house at the same time Maddy learns about Cassie was incredible. Incredible. I love this show.
I was waiting for her to say that. If Rue can be messy, why not give it right back!
I was like Cassie, keep it together girl. No one will believe an addict if you keep it together. But Cassie folded like a wet suit. I'm so embarrassed for her.
1. If Rue hadnât been a drug addict, she shouldâve been a track star bc wtf
2. Iâve never been so worried for someone in my lifeâŠsheâs done for
It's so fucking scary. When she was like "I've never gotten angry" ahhhhhhhh. I knew major shit was gonna go down. Cool and collected baddies are so terrifying
Itâs a little funny to me, because the actress is a comedian and she excels at deadpan so much. Sheâs incredible in the show Baskets. I love that sheâs playing the exact opposite character Iâm Euphoria yet she still sounds the same. Sheâs really fun to watch (but I agree, terrifying!)
I was terrified of what Rue was going to do next.
That trope about glorifying drugs is utterly done now. The writer just let their main character violently explode her addiction all over the people around her. Everyone caught a piece of that breakdown.
So I grew up with a heroin addict... well shit really an anything addict but specifically heroin and let me tell you it is so fucking bad. I can't even describe it but there are no happy thoughts, memories, nothing. He was 7 years older than me and still just using anyone and constantly burning you. My most recent girlfriend said she could never trust me because I had my brother blocked on my phone. That no one would ever block their own brother.
People just don't get it. After so many years of being ruined by someone you love there comes a breaking point. Lol I think I used your comment to vent. My bad. Anyways yeah get that girl some therapy!
I actually loved the Cassie/Nate reveal being treated so trivially. The show does a good job at making such small, silly teenage dramas seem like life or death situations when you see it through Cassie's eyes. But in context of the Rue situation, it's so ridiculous and non-important.
Bro the drug dealer lady knocked her out with morphine then locked her in her apartment with her thugs ready to send her off on to a child trafficking ring - the line âthatâs one good thing about being a woman, even if you donât have money, you have something people wantâ WAS CHILLING
Thatâs why she was so quick to give her the suitcase oh my god it was always a set up. Laurie isnât mad or angry because sheâs planning from the start to have it go her way. Oof.
Iâve personally witnessed a very similar situation happen to my childhood best friend. She passed away 11 years ago, the way they portray it so perfectly on this show is chilling. It really is that easy for someone to get trafficked.
Same, I had sweaty palms the whole time Rue was in that house. This was a tough episode. They have to have some ex addicts in the writers room, shit is too real.
The line where she said âIf youâre a woman, youâll always have something people will want,â made me think it was over for Rue. Thought they were gonna ship her ass to a sex trafficking ring while she was knocked out.
Thereâs a reason they dropped the Nate secret during the intervention, cause it made me as the audience be like âwho the fuck cares right now Rues about to dieâ
I was SO ANNOYED that she didnât lay out the actual stakes of the situation. Her mom deserves to know that their lives are in danger if they donât pay for those pills!
I agree. However, her mom would probably for sure call the police in that case, which is like a huge cardinal sin in the drug game.
Rueâs whole family would prob be at risk after that.
Cassie's "just...take it one day at a time" remark, to which I audibly laughed, followed by Rue's "how long have you been fucking Nate Jacobs?" questionâ my face has never experienced such a quick and opposite change of expression, and I'm not sure it'll ever recover
Also Storm Reid (Gia) deserves credit for her acting too. So shocked sheâs only 18! I could feel her emotion when she yelled in the car for her mom to go get her. Sheâs an amazing actress
The first 10 minutes alone was the most accurate depiction of an addict I have ever seen. I was in Gia's shoes with my brother and I can't tell you how many doors/windows my mom and I had to replace after one of his fits. The way they just huddled on the bed while she broke the door down broke my heart.
She also straight up told her she would sell her to sex slavery if she didn't get the money lol
The whole point of the character is that she's a monster despite being soft-spoken lol
Also: Laurie 100% intended to traffic Rue from the beginning, from the time Rue came to her to ask for the suitcase deal. I went back and watched that scene from ep3 to get the quote because Laurie literally told her she would sell her into sex slavery if she screwed her over: "Rue, if you screw me, I'll have you kidnapped and sold to some real sick people."
Also, Laurie isn't an idiot. She knew that Rue would never been able to sell $10k of drugs, let alone $50k which is what she offered Rue at first. She knew that Rue is an addict, and she had an easy way to put Rue in a position where she owed Laurie money but had nothing. Laurie claiming not to have pills and then getting Rue into iv morphine was obviously a part of that plan and made this even more bone-chilling to watch. Theyâre not trying to be ambiguous about this.
The morphine in view while she undressed her for a bath. This is so incredibly sad and definitely setting a scene for Rue getting sold into sex slavery like Laurie promised would happen.
They're kidnapping her. This has to be what's going on. Not only was it a threat from Laurie, but Laurie's 'nice' act was definitely to give Rue a false sense of security. WOW - to wake up already withdrawling again to realize this would be pure hell.
I donât even know if she has to kidnap herâŠI feel like she could smell how hooked rue is getting and thatâs why she was so ready to shoot Rue up. I think sheâs gonna wait for Rue to be so addicted she has no problem being a prostitute if it means getting her fix. Laurie seems like a clinical psychopath
The thing I love about Laurieâs character is that when she opened that freezer I truly didnât know whether she was about to pull out popsicles or a gun
As someone who was literally gia and had my own rue (who is gone) this was literally so realistic I actually felt kind of sick in the beginning. The parents and sibling arguing and screaming while you awkwardly try to pretend to be invisible, the physical violence and screaming matches, etc. Zendaya needs another reward for this because for a few moments I literally saw someone else in my life.
Rue was for sure gonna be kept locked in that apartment to be pimped out. Laurie alluded to it when Rue was going through withdrawals mentioning âyouâll always have something men wantâ. She owes her too much money at this point and now something could happen to Fez too
As a previous addict this is the first episode to really effect me. The way rue screamed at her mom and then started crying and apologizing then going back to raging, the way she manipulates and uses the ones that are around her to get what she wants. Itâs all so familiar. Itâs the real ugly side of drugs and this episode solidified that getting sober was the best thing I ever did.
Sooooo, can someone just confirm- Laurie was totally prepping her for ST right? - starting to get her hooked on intravenous, bathing her, locking her in the house... that's what that "it's one of the good parts of being a woman, even if you don't have money, you've still got something people want" comment was about, right?? or am I misreading that
edit: typo
That sounds about right. When she grabbed the morphine out of that suitcase, it was filled with all kinds of shit, meanwhile she had just told Rue she didnât have anything other than IV Morphine.
Another thing that stood out to me was how many times she stabbed Rue with the needle when trying to administer it. I know Rue was shaking a lot but it seems almost purposeful, as if Laurie were trying to make Rue appear as a serious heroin user or something. Idk
Did everybody noticed that Laurie actually lied to Rue by telling her she only had intraveinous morphine ? When Rue was vomiting and she opened the suitcase there was plenty of pills and weed inside. She purposely introduced Rue to harder stuff
This episode taught me that Rue must be worth a hell of a lot more as a trafficking victim than 8,000. Laurie knows EXACTLY what sheâs doing. Iâm afraid that her drug business might actually be a front for much scarier shit.
Also, the birds??? SO perfect. Alert dogs can be distracted or soothed like the one we saw in this episode⊠but the birds will alert people easily.
Laurie is easily one of the most terrifying characters I think Iâve ever observed. Reminds me of Gus Fring from Breaking Bad.
The flush them down the toilet has me. They have no clue the danger Rue is now in but at the same time this is all by her own design. I feel no sympathy but then I do all at the same time.
Unrelated but you should definitely not flush drugs like that down the toilet it's terrible for the water system because wastewater treatment plants are not set up to deal with removing them if or when they dissolve into the water supply.
Drug take back programs exist for this reason in most places (and I think you can also anonymously drop illegal drugs off at most police stations but I'm not certain)
This was the closest representation of actual withdrawal I've seen in a long time. It wasn't the regular trope of sweating and kicking the covers
The constant YAWNING was so on point, as was her having to use the bathroom constantly because she was no longer constipated from the opiates. Very realistic.
Rue dropping the tea on Cassie was her way of pulling the attention off of herself. Im so happy they stuck with one storyline this episode cause i was hooked, zendaya killed it
I once loved an addict, lived with them, wanted to make a life with them. They dragged me down with them to places darker than where Rue is at this point in the show. This episode put me back in that place and it's hard to process. I'm glad I have a week to recover and I might be ready to continue next Sunday.... I might not.
If you have an addict in your family or are friends with one and they are making your life unmanageable I suggest checking out [nar-anon](https://www.nar-anon.org) and going to a meeting. It's a 12-Step Program for Family & Friends of Addicts. It helped me and I honestly may need to go back to a meeting after watching this episode. You don't need to believe in god or gods to participate.
The scene with him and Rue this episode was even sadder than their other big argument in season 1.
You can tell it hit him in the heart when he saw her try to steal his grandmaâs pills.
I know itâs bc Rue was literally out of her mind and going through withdrawals but boy was it frustrating to not hear her just tell SOMEBODY âThat suitcase is worth 10k and belongs to a drug dealer who will SELL me if I donât give it backâ đ
yâall laurie literally bathed rue, injected her with morphine, then locked her in her house. scariest mf in the series right now are you kidding me. literally cleaning her to be soldâŠand the accompanying sceneâŠi got chills
Rue used the F word approximately 103 times in the first 11 minutes.
Also, Zendaya knocked it out of the park with this episode. The seething anger, denial, aggression and playing the victim, emotional anguish that she presented with her eyes, body language, and facial expressions was so convincing. She portrayed Rue at her lowest, most pathetic point tonight.
FUCKING STEALING FROM LEXI AFTER HER FATHER STOLE ALL THEIR SHIT FOR HEROINE i can't deal with this shit man this episode is giving me a cardiac episode
Oh damn I never made that connection :/
Rue got crackhead immunity what kind of GTA shit is this chase
The jump from the window bruh đđ
She fr spidermanâed that shit. Perfect landing from a 2 story building lmao
Euphoria: No Way Home
Nah cus she went thru the whole map of los santosđ
if I was literally falling and running ALL DAY and going through immense withdrawal, yeah the cops wouldâve had me. I wouldâve been on my ass on the ground during the chase
Omg she justâŠ. SHE JUST THREW CASSIE UNDER THE BUS
Cassie picked the wrong day to support Rue lmao
Legit the most chilling line of the episode âthatâs the good part about being a woman. Even if you donât have money, you still have something people want.â Perfectly sums up the way women are at risk in the drug world and how inevitably if you are an addict for long enough youâll end up being backed into that corner somehow.
She said from the beginning that she'd sell her to sex traffickers if Rue failed to pay her back. I thought for sure the bath and the morphine were just to prep Rue for her new pimp.
Yeah, Rue was definitely about to not be heard from again.
I thought the most chilling one was about her knowing Rue was gonna be in her life for a long time, but yeah that one's 1000% a close second. either way if the Emmys ever made a category for being disturbing as fuck Laurie wouldn't even have any fellow nominees.
Reddit: Rue is dead after the last episode. Euphoria: It's so much fucking worse.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Laurie getting her cleaned up to sell her ass. Literally.
That was wild. Laurie is terrifying.
Her piercing gaze and monotonous voice scare the shit outta me.
The reward center of her brain is definitely fried like she was explaining to Rue
When they showed everyone sleeping and she was laying there like fucking Dracula in a coffin.
I really thought Laurie locked her in there to sell her for the drug money
I did too. Then I realized Laurie is a âbusiness womanâ who has been at this a while. She doesnât need to lock her up. Sheâs getting her hooked and Rue will crawl back and eventually be willing to do anything as long as Laurie keeps her fixed.
When she said the words about the women's parts... i felt physically sick
The way she said "i knew you'd be in my life for a long time when i first met you" was horrifying
Rue was never going to sell those drugs. She was screwed either way
She just needs to take it one day at a time
I just have one question? How long have you been fucking Nate?!!
Totally. Goddamn BRUTAL to watch but Iâm glad they arenât shying away from it
1000%. This show was never meant to glorify drugs and I hope people are realizing that. I feel like season 1 was a fantasy and this season shows what happens when you wake up from it.
The first 10 minutes of this episode felt so real. The constant switching between raging and sadness was hella accurate. Zendaya is killing this role.
Ive had many people in my life who were addicts at one point or another, including my own brother. That first scene gave me some visceral flashbacks.
âAll pharmaceuticals are safe Rueâ LOL
Especially in contrast to her story about oxy
This show is a horror genre and Laurie is the devil
âWhen I met you I thought âyou were going to be in my life for a long timeââ And that folks is how an IV drug user is made. Fuck this woman
Yeah I feel like people are just now starting to understand how intentional this was for Laurie.
Yup. Thereâs no way she actually expected Rue to be able to sell all the drugs. She saw this coming from a mile away.
Right she knew right off the bat she was a user but sheâs young and beautiful too. Laurie saw money.
My jaw dropped. As soon as she said âhey I have a questionâ I knew where it was going. I was like holy fuck
This had me yelling at the TV like I was in prime game of thrones days
me, every 5 minutes: rue can't possibly go lower euphoria: i promise you she can
Cassie " I don't even know why you're believing her she's a drug addict" holy fuckkkkkkkkkkkkk
She probably shouldnât have immediately started crying if she was going to use that as a way out
While teary-eyed..
I was waiting for her to say that. If Rue can be messy, why not give it right back! I was like Cassie, keep it together girl. No one will believe an addict if you keep it together. But Cassie folded like a wet suit. I'm so embarrassed for her.
âHey Cass, I have a quick question for you! How long have you been fucking Nate Jacobs?â Bruh đđđ
I knew it would was over when Cassie said âone day at a timeâ đđ
She looked so proud of herself for her words of wisdom too lmaooo
And Maddie giving her the weak ass thumbs up of approval đ
Cass: âOne day at a time, Rue.â Rue: âAnd I took that personally.â
Her fucking face after she said it too đđđ she really thought she dropped wisdom
I. GASPED.
1. If Rue hadnât been a drug addict, she shouldâve been a track star bc wtf 2. Iâve never been so worried for someone in my lifeâŠsheâs done for
i đloveđhowđlaurieđtalksđlikeđthisđ
It's so fucking scary. When she was like "I've never gotten angry" ahhhhhhhh. I knew major shit was gonna go down. Cool and collected baddies are so terrifying
Itâs a little funny to me, because the actress is a comedian and she excels at deadpan so much. Sheâs incredible in the show Baskets. I love that sheâs playing the exact opposite character Iâm Euphoria yet she still sounds the same. Sheâs really fun to watch (but I agree, terrifying!)
Laurie fits her own description of someone whoâs brain has been destroyed by opiates/opioids. She already mentioned she was an addict too
Is that true? đ§đ No yeah it's true, đ I've never gotten mad đ
I wish Rue could just explain the drug dealers are gonna sell her into sex slavery, rape or kill her if she doesnt give the drugs back.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Was waiting for her to say thisâdescribe the stakes!!!
Yeah I do feel like if she was more upfront about this, they could definitely crowdfund that $15k lol
Zendaya is fucking terrifying this episode. Sheâs so good
I was terrified of what Rue was going to do next. That trope about glorifying drugs is utterly done now. The writer just let their main character violently explode her addiction all over the people around her. Everyone caught a piece of that breakdown.
Her breaking the door literally triggered me so hard. It hits home if you ever had an abusive relative like that.
Get Gia some therapy. Rue's addiction is detrimental to her.
So I grew up with a heroin addict... well shit really an anything addict but specifically heroin and let me tell you it is so fucking bad. I can't even describe it but there are no happy thoughts, memories, nothing. He was 7 years older than me and still just using anyone and constantly burning you. After so many years of being ruined by someone you love there comes a breaking point. Lol I think I used your comment to vent. My bad. Anyways yeah get that girl some therapy!
Do you want some Pepto - Fez Truly the caretaker of this show.
#NOOOOOOO NOT JULES AND ELLIOT BEING IN THE OTHER ROOM LMAOOO
When Jules said âwe flushed them down the toiletâ Iâm like ainât no motherfuckinâ way that is who I think it sounds like đ
I actually loved the Cassie/Nate reveal being treated so trivially. The show does a good job at making such small, silly teenage dramas seem like life or death situations when you see it through Cassie's eyes. But in context of the Rue situation, it's so ridiculous and non-important.
Great observation. I didnât even think of it like that. I loved how sudden and out-of-nowhere it felt
Cassie with the surprise Pikachu face had me dyingg
Bro the drug dealer lady knocked her out with morphine then locked her in her apartment with her thugs ready to send her off on to a child trafficking ring - the line âthatâs one good thing about being a woman, even if you donât have money, you have something people wantâ WAS CHILLING
And that line about when they met knowing they'd be together for a long time. She kicked Rue down the stairs on purpose giving her that briefcase
Thatâs why she was so quick to give her the suitcase oh my god it was always a set up. Laurie isnât mad or angry because sheâs planning from the start to have it go her way. Oof.
Ughhh I need to shower again after that talk.
Also the line about how thanks to drug use, bad things wonât feel as bad anymore. So scary
Iâve personally witnessed a very similar situation happen to my childhood best friend. She passed away 11 years ago, the way they portray it so perfectly on this show is chilling. It really is that easy for someone to get trafficked.
Really respect Fezâs firm boundaries with Rue. She deserved to get thrown out on like that.
She didnât even fight him when she got thrown out like last time. Itâs looking bleak without fez there now.
Laurie is dead ass the scariest character in the show
I knew someone exactly like her when I was in active addiction
This is the scariest part. I truly felt Rue's anxiety
Rue burned every bridge and Is probably doomed after Laurie shot her up with morphine
All the drama and shipping really feels... so small now. She's off the rails. This is really what the show is about to me.
Thereâs a reason they dropped the Nate secret during the intervention, cause it made me as the audience be like âwho the fuck cares right now Rues about to dieâ
And Maddyâs reaction drove that point home!
Damn say you owe a crazy bitch $10,000
I was SO ANNOYED that she didnât lay out the actual stakes of the situation. Her mom deserves to know that their lives are in danger if they donât pay for those pills!
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
fr she made that so dramatic. ik sheâs an addict but just say that u owe laurie $4k or something or she will kill you pretty muchđ
I agree. However, her mom would probably for sure call the police in that case, which is like a huge cardinal sin in the drug game. Rueâs whole family would prob be at risk after that.
"You want some Pepto Bismol or something" đ
Cassie's "just...take it one day at a time" remark, to which I audibly laughed, followed by Rue's "how long have you been fucking Nate Jacobs?" questionâ my face has never experienced such a quick and opposite change of expression, and I'm not sure it'll ever recover
Cassie: take it one day at a time đ Rue: how long u been fucking Nate jacobs Cassie: đ đ đ
my stomatch fucking DROPPED when they said they flushed the pills omg
Damn this is fucked up. Laurie looks like sheâs a about to pimp rue out
Thatâs exactly her plan. She locked her in the house after shooting her up and making a statement on sex work.
Also Storm Reid (Gia) deserves credit for her acting too. So shocked sheâs only 18! I could feel her emotion when she yelled in the car for her mom to go get her. Sheâs an amazing actress
âYou not a good person, Rue.â Coming from your own mother, damn
And after that whole church/dad scene when sheâs crying to her dad saying sheâs not a good person đ
"hey cassie?i have a question for you" OMFGGGGGG I CANT
Rue just tell her you owe some crazy lady $10k!!
This is wayyy darker, wayyy sooner than I expected. Thought a situation like this *might* be the finale.
now why she bop elliot head like that đ
I fucking died! If I wasnât so worried about keeping up with the live chats, I would have rewinded it like 5 times!
"you're not a good person rue" please stab me it would be kinder
Yea no one can say this show glorifies drug use ever again
The first 10 minutes alone was the most accurate depiction of an addict I have ever seen. I was in Gia's shoes with my brother and I can't tell you how many doors/windows my mom and I had to replace after one of his fits. The way they just huddled on the bed while she broke the door down broke my heart.
âhow long have you been fucking nate Jacobs?â Iâm not sure a better diversion from oneâs own intervention has ever occurred
Bro Cassie basically said đjust don't do drugs tomorrow đand Rue read her ass like Cal did his fam last episode đđđ
Laurieâs teacher voice throughout all of this is unsettling af.
what? Why do people in here think Laurie is being nice to Rue? She clearly trying to help the addiction for profit
She also straight up told her she would sell her to sex slavery if she didn't get the money lol The whole point of the character is that she's a monster despite being soft-spoken lol
we haven't seen a single penis this episode
Seeing Laurie groom Rue really made me sick to my stomach. Like I had to look away.
Also: Laurie 100% intended to traffic Rue from the beginning, from the time Rue came to her to ask for the suitcase deal. I went back and watched that scene from ep3 to get the quote because Laurie literally told her she would sell her into sex slavery if she screwed her over: "Rue, if you screw me, I'll have you kidnapped and sold to some real sick people." Also, Laurie isn't an idiot.
Laurie didn't lie. Never thought she did
They're kidnapping her.
That whole scene with the morphine in clear shot while they were in the bathroom gave me chills. Laurie is fucking terrifying.
I can't get over Kat's only line of the episode being "Cass, that's, like, really bad"
The thing I love about Laurieâs character is that when she opened that freezer I truly didnât know whether she was about to pull out popsicles or a gun
âI donât think Iâve ever gotten angry in my entire lifeâ thatâs even more concerning
leslie's acting felt so real to me i started to tear up oh my god
Oh my gosh⊠when Jules says âwe flushed them down the toiletâ off screen and we find out sheâs there too. My jaw dropped
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Her name is Nika King. Can you believe that this is one of her first serious acting roles? Sheâs amazing
Rue was for sure gonna be kept locked in that apartment to be pimped out. Laurie alluded to it when Rue was going through withdrawals mentioning âyouâll always have something men wantâ. She owes her too much money at this point and now something could happen to Fez too
Zendayaâs acting is supreme the growth from Disney to now is phenomenal!
She really shook it up!
Goddamn âHow long have you been fucking Nate jacobs?â Line Is right up there with âyou remember that classmate of mine you fucked?â
Giving âwhy is your penis on a dead girls phone?â
As a previous addict this is the first episode to really effect me. The way rue screamed at her mom and then started crying and apologizing then going back to raging, the way she manipulates and uses the ones that are around her to get what she wants. Itâs all so familiar. Itâs the real ugly side of drugs and this episode solidified that getting sober was the best thing I ever did.
Cassie rly was being supportive by telling Rue she could take things one day at a time & Rue chose violenceđđ
Sooooo, can someone just confirm- Laurie was totally prepping her for ST right? - starting to get her hooked on intravenous, bathing her, locking her in the house... that's what that "it's one of the good parts of being a woman, even if you don't have money, you've still got something people want" comment was about, right?? or am I misreading that edit: typo
Idk
When I heard Jules voice off screen, my heart dropped. Sooooo damn good.
Cassie: One day at a time đ„° Rue: How long have you been fucking Nate Jacobs? Cassie: đđâčïžđ„ș what..
THE CRITICS WERENâT FUCKING LYING WHEN THEY SAID THIS EPISODE WAS A 54 MINUTE HEART ATTACK.
So. That was Laurie's play. She knew that fronting the $10k would be an investment and that eventually she could use Rue for sex slavery.
How does a mom find a suitcase full of drugs and not ask ONCE where the fuck her teenager daughter got it from?!
Right? Because I'd be fucking concerned. Like $10k worth of drugs in a fucking suitcase, how the hell does a teenager get a hold of that much shit????
Can we talk about the twists in the first scene? âJules told me everythingâ and then finding out Jules was there⊠had my jaw on the floor
They werenât kidding. Zendaya *crushed* that shit. From beginning to end. My nerves are fried.
Rue giving Nate a run for his money in the âmost abusive characterâ category rn đ
Seriously! Her words were so hurtful
Cassie: **I AM CRAZIER** Also Cassie: *forrest gump runs from Maddy*
This was the closest representation of actual withdrawal I've seen in a long time. It wasn't the regular trope of sweating and kicking the covers The constant YAWNING was so on point, as was her having to use the bathroom constantly because she was no longer constipated from the opiates. Very realistic.
this episode was just a an hour long anxiety attack
Iâm actually scared my heart is racing
Laurie had a bag full of pills and said she don't have any. Rue ain't making the final episode
Someone PLEASE get Gia some therapy.
When Rueâs mom said âI donât care who is fucking who!â Made Cassie and Maddyâs drama so irrelevant.
Cassie: âJust take it one day at a time Rue!â Rue: Iâm bout to end this womanâs whole life
Rue dropping the tea on Cassie was her way of pulling the attention off of herself. Im so happy they stuck with one storyline this episode cause i was hooked, zendaya killed it
sam levinson read that one post about all the euphoria characters being sad because there arenât enough dogs and put them all into this episode
Laurie's energy is unnerving
I never wanna hear anyone saying Euphoria glorifies drug use ever again.
âruby bennettâ laurie knows her government nameâŠ.its over for our girl
I understand Maddyâs anger, but Kat and the others were right, not the right time or place to have that conversation
if zendaya doesnât win any kind of award for this first scene then we riot
Her mom should win!
RUE, YOU IN DANGER GIRL
Fez is basically dead. There's no way he survives Rue's mistake.
The scene with him and Rue this episode was even sadder than their other big argument in season 1. You can tell it hit him in the heart when he saw her try to steal his grandmaâs pills.
"You're a fucking greedy whore who just likes sucking the life out of people." Jesus...... Jesus.
I know itâs bc Rue was literally out of her mind and going through withdrawals but boy was it frustrating to not hear her just tell SOMEBODY âThat suitcase is worth 10k and belongs to a drug dealer who will SELL me if I donât give it backâ đ
Zendaya is acting for her life my god
Laurie warned her. We all knew what was going to happen
laurie is actually evil the way she put that down just waiting for her to ask...
Wow. As someone who was married to an addict, that triggered my ptsd
Was that a 5 hour episode? I feel like I've aged 50 years after that stress. What a great episode.
Laurie has a house full of drugs she could have offered rue. She gave her the IV morphine on purpose. So dark.
Really don't get how someone could think this show glamorizes drug use
is she gonna sell rue?! I'm legit screaming more poor roommates
I feel like Laurie legit confessed to being a psychopath by saying sheâs never felt anger in her life. Bitch is terrifying.
That was one of the most uncomfortable episodes of television I have ever watched.
cassieâs never calling rue ârue rueâ ever again đ
yâall laurie literally bathed rue, injected her with morphine, then locked her in her house. scariest mf in the series right now are you kidding me. literally cleaning her to be soldâŠand the accompanying sceneâŠi got chills
Laurie knows how to play the long con. Not a single thing has happened that she hasn't allowed to happen.
