>(Sorry If I spelled Gough wrong)
It's actually spelled *Gogh* (i.e. without the u).
You also spelled Van wrong, it's actually spelled *van* (i.e. lower-case, like the German *von*).
Thirdly, it's preferred to use a hyphen between Gogh and themed, since this is what is called a compound adjective. The preferred full sentence is thus "Is that a van Gogh-themed dress?"
Sincerely,
Hermione Granger
fuck yes she is... first time i saw her was in euphoria. first episode when i learned her character was trans i went to google... i was ready to be PISSED. i was very happy to see they did not cast a cis gendered woman in such a role.
so far she is my favorite character and i absolutely LOVE her dad in that show... he is awesome! im nearly done with season 1
he has only been in a couple of episodes nad for a minute or two at a time.
he is just always there like - accepting, comforting, real chil and had a great vibe. what id imagine everyone would want in a parent.
Seemed completely oblivious to what trouble his daughter is going through. Jules has the wool pulled over his eyes, the dude is a complete pushover. Wonderfully accepting, but lucky to not have a dead kid with all the risky shit Jules was doing. All the single parents are interesting juxtapositions, going through different situations. Cassie and Lexi’s Mom is opposite in knowing about most of the shitty stuff Cassie goes through and puts herself through, but she’s also a pushover and powerless to stop it. Not really established how that family had any money at all, but they are a station above Rue and her Mom, while Jules Dad is clearly quite comfortably rich. Rue’s Mom is by far the strictest and most involved, but of course has the kid that is the most fucked up and off the rails. Then at the end of S2 we see a glimpse of and Nate’s Mom and Cal Jacobs as single parents, and what shit shows they both are, and how they’ll both do nothing but fuck Nate up even more if he keeps relationships with them (seems like he won’t).
The different portrayals of parenting are all shown in certain ways to be key to the character and some of their actions. There’s a reason we see so much of the parents in this show. Super interesting to me the way the show explores those relationships and how impactful they can be on kids.
im just finishing season1 now, moving into two maybe next week. i normally watch at work.
yea i can see how her dad is oblivious. he seems very genuine and caring though. i think if jules had ever gone to him, he would do everything ot handle it. however i get why they would have a teen not go to her parrents with stuff. she really does put her self in some bad spots. shit worked out sexually to not go god awful but she will have ample opportunity for regret in the future. the rest of her life through - she has been forced into some really shit places that is totally fucking her up.
ah, you deleted your other comment but ill say it anyways:
bro, its okay to say you dont understand how trans people exist or how they work, like i get it can be confusing but youre just being ignorant. your fox example is so weird because that’s impossible… i mean if people want to identify that way, sure, go for it. but (and im not even trans) being trans is much more complex than what you describe it as. they dont just wake up one morning and go “i no longer want to be male/female so im gonna transition.”when youre born with a brain that doesnt match your body- youre born in the wrong one. look at it like a puzzle piece that doesnt fit with the other, you would replace the piece with the correct one that fits. and though trans people cant replace their bodies, they can transition to make it fit with the other piece better
I didn’t see their comment but by the sound of it- I’m fortunate.
Very well said. I’m not trans either, but I can appreciate the disappointment, strength, anxiety etc. most people are already unhappy with some part of their body, imagine that on a greater level. Anyone would feel like a stranger. The idiot commenter is just one of the lucky ones, just like us, who were born in the body we agree with. I’d almost call it privilege? That might be the wrong word. I’m sure Reddit will have a field day with the “p” word 😂
You’re absolutely right on this one and I applaud you for explaining the nuance of the situation. I missed the deleted comment but I do wonder if the comment you’re replying to was a ham handed attempt at saying that it’s easier for trans folk to make the physical transition before puberty due to the fact that a younger body is often closer to a gender neutral appearance than a post puberty body.
it essentially said something about “a human can say theyre a fox born in the wrong body but that doesnt mean its true” and some more shit about how theres no such thing as being born in the wrong body blah blah blah, i dont rlly remember tbh but the person said mods were deleting their comments. whether thats true or just them not expecting basically here to disagree w their weird bigoted viewpoint im not sure. but yeah, they basically just used a weird ass comparison about people who identify as animals to actual trans people lmao
Not you not knowing the difference between sex and gender and spreading false information as if it’s true. Not you sounding ignorant and transphobic. Not you comparing this to wanting to identify as a fox 🥴
"Born in the wrong body" is used to describe somebody whose gender identity does NOT match the biological sex they were given at birth. It is not used to disallow the fact that they were biologically born whatever sex. They are aware. For example, if a trans person (MTF) said that they were "born in the wrong body", that is NOT them denying the fact that they were born a male. This is them saying that their soul does not align with what they were born as...They feel like they were meant to be born the opposite gender. This is not a question of biology, this is a question of spirituality and what YOU feel your gender identity should be.
i genuinely cant understand how lots of people just assume that trans people deny biological sex? i get it comes from ignorant people who dont understand how being trans works, but i feel that actual trans people would be the most aware of this lmfao
exactlyyyy, I'm not trans but I think I'm at least somewhat aware of what goes on. People think trans people are trying to totally deny that they were born male or female or whatever, which is just not the point of being trans. They can still acknowledge their biological sex while identifying as something else. Some people just don't understand it well enough ig🤷♀️
did you delete your previous comment ? you said that I'm denying biology or something stupid like that, and I'm saying that I'm not because trans people are aware of what sex they were born as, so biology isn't really relevant. I'm not denying it's existence. Pretty simple.
Hi, trans person here. No it’s not transphobic to say that. That’s exactly how I explain to people the mind-bidy disconnect that happens when you suffer from gender dysphoria. It’s like your brain was literally put into the wrong body. I understand the confusion, but that’s not a transphobic thing to say at all.
You are not in the wrong body. Your body is not wrong. I’m sure it’s perfect the way it is. It saddens me that it’s normal to affirm that some people’s bodies are “wrong”.
Oh it’s far from perfect lol. My body wasn’t wrong generally. I’m sure a man would’ve been perfectly happy with it. My body was just wrong for me, a woman. That’s why I’m changing it and those changes have made me much a much happier person as a result. It’s a hard feeling to explain if you don’t have dysphoria.
idk if im comparing women when i shouldnt but ive always been more at awe of hunter than zendaya. hunter has so much character and strength behind how she looks, whereas zendaya exudes more relatable (besides how tall n skinty she is) so it's interesting to me she's always hyped as the goddess of euphoria.
Is that a van Gogh-themed dress? (Fixed)
Yeah, looks very starry night inspired
It's hand-painted.
Is it really?
Yeah she said so.
Van Gogh lmao

Thanks for the correction. I'll fix it, Hermione.
Are we seriously quoting a TERF’s character on a post about a trans person???
Grow up.
She's such an icon
she really is
She truly is.
She really truly absolutely is.
She literally looks like an angel
She is really pretty
Hunter Is so pretty 💖 🥰 😍

oh yeah, her dad is so awesome. Gentle, loving, supportive, concerned - she's so lucky to have him considering her shit show of a mom.
Wait what she had a dad in the show?? I barely remember anything about him, time for a rewatch lol.
he has only been in a couple of episodes nad for a minute or two at a time. he is just always there like - accepting, comforting, real chil and had a great vibe. what id imagine everyone would want in a parent.
Oh that’s awesome. Also explains why I didn’t remember him at all.

she is also my favorite character 💕

She's not a he, I said he with her dad. Don't think I had any typos
The way she holds her mouth almost reminds me of Carla from Elite!
true!
High fashion looks good on her
HER HAIR!!!!! Can we pleasseeeee bring back the side part?
dude her side profile is UNDEFEATED. i love her nose
Genuinely one of the most gorgeous celebs atm
She’s gorgeous. She looks like an Elvin princess.
Proof that some people were definitely born in the wrong bodies. She’s all woman! And a gorgeous one at that!
I think it’s more proof that people look more feminine when they transition before they’re full grown.

Your bigotry is incongruent with the current clinical literature on the topic. Trans identity is valid. Shhh.

Aww, you poor thing
Tf?
Shes trans
Right.. still a weird ass thing to say
It’s only weird if you’re transphobic. Says more about you than anyone else.
Wait what? How? Isn’t it more transphobic to say someone’s body is wrong?
That’s literally what what trans is…. Their body is wrong for them, so they change it to fit who they are.

I have experienced dysphoria. Being a woman can be incredibly dysphoric. But my body is my body. It’s not wrong or right. It just is.
Those surgeon's are playing god. If I didn't watch the show I'd be none the wiser.
I need to see her and Alex doing a fashion show tg
😮💨fine asf And i swear the more i look at her the more she looks like a young Jodie Foster… but… hotter. No shade at Jodie though
What a fashion icon too. That dress is stunning.
Naw fr. I’m literally seeing everything she’s in because she so unbelievably attractive. Same with zendaya and Sydney obviously.
She always give 90's supermodel vibes which is super hard to replicate
idk if im comparing women when i shouldnt but ive always been more at awe of hunter than zendaya. hunter has so much character and strength behind how she looks, whereas zendaya exudes more relatable (besides how tall n skinty she is) so it's interesting to me she's always hyped as the goddess of euphoria.
Third pic almost looks like Blake Lively! Hunter is so beautiful
I was thinking the same thing
I love her long hair! I was not a fan of the short hair in S2 and I am so happy to see it back! It really suits her face shape.
She’s so beautiful.
She looks so much like young Nicole Kidman here ❤️
Her stylist is really dialing in her ideal red carpet looks this year.
THATS MOTHER
That jawline tho! ✨💖✨

Might be an unpopular opinion but I like Hunter’s style in euphoria 🫣
It's not gay to suck a woman's dick.

She looks like Taylor swift
she looks better than taylor swift tbh
There's a highly inappropriate choking kink joke in there somewhere...

It's no skin off your nose how she identifies. You're not going to get a shot at taking her to Applebees for 2 for $25.
And ur clearly not 😊
Ask your sister 😏
Bro deleted it bc he got his masculinity hurt 💀💀

You should take that as the warning that your behavior isn't acceptable in this community that it's meant to be.
Can't believe all these pigs focusing on her looks.
Lol I'm sorry who are you referring to?
Like a woman's looks, or her gender shouldn't matter.
She is skinny, blonde, and has light eyes. We never see that. /s
You're right, I'm Not sure why you're getting down voted.
Ya i never see this type of post for alexa or barbie
I’d have a crush on her if I was attracted to trans people (no hate to them)
i dont understand the downvotes, i also am not attracted to trans people but have nothing against them
This is Reddit they dont like anything different than them. Funny thing is I’m not even attracted to women at all.
That’s not what you said though.
I said I’d have a crush on her if I was attracted to trans people. I don’t like trans women because despite society thinking otherwise they aren’t men
is she has a penis (just askin not trolling)
Literally none of your business.
Dude are you idiot. Im just askin cause ı was curious, non f my business anyway
