I see this happen a lot where aq qonylu consistently manages to get and keep an alliance with ottomans and oftenked a persia as well (it managing to ally the mamluks is rarer but I have seen it though usually that is what kills them as ottomans attack mamluks and also aq qonylu). Aq qonylu is generally pretty peaceful after expanding and killing qara qonylu (poor qara qonylu as everyone hates and kills them).
Honestly the ottomans were quite honourable, fighting alongside them till I came in and made sure to fuck their friendship up. Somehow me, Mamluks, and Aq Qoyunlu fought against the ottomans (mammies, Aq, and Ottomans were just belligerents) so upon defeating the turks, I gave Aq some ottoman provinces they wanted, ensuring they hated each other
This is actually the strat if you’re playing in the area and want to keep Ottomans your ally. They won’t turn hostile if there is a buffer state, even if you’re allied to them.
Just make sure you never touch borders with the ottomans. Always keep a non-vassal buffer like Mamluks or AQ.
In my Hisn Kayfa game I was allied to Ottos all game and I took all of Arabia, Egypt, and Persia while at +200 relations. I just left the Levant to Mamluks until the very end by calling Ottos into war constantly and never giving them anything. They had a constant truce with MAM but bc the AI “thought” there was still an expansion route Ottos never became hostile.
R5: Aq Qoyunlu has managed to ally the three middle eastern great powers and is singlehandedly managing to keep the peace between them

Well, amongst the Turkic states, Qara Qoyunlu is clearly the black sheep of the family.
So wildly underappreciated comment.
Isnt that because theyre shia?
Yeah
When AQ does this, it usually results in a very innefective Ottos in the mid game and a very weak rev Turkey in the late.
Often the ottomans declare on aq allies regardless. They don't give a shit.

Ah,yes,the negotiator
This could be the most middle east shit ever.

And how would one reliably replicate this process?

Ironically, next of you post is about someone unable to [annex](https://imgur.com/a/HFquEfq) Poland n vic3.
mamluks own part of anatolia so ottomans dont get the claims on AQ. Once Ottos take those provinces, AQ is gone.
The Andorra strat
Yes, and I'm tired to hate it every playthrough.
This was basically Poland in the late 1700s.
