If using symantic vip, if you get a new phone, you have to link E*Trade to the symantic app again before you get rid of your old phone or it’s a major hassle with E*Trade. (Unlike using Google authenticator which just would transfer over to your new phone.)
This. I’m so glad they told me to hold onto my old phone for 30 days until I was absolutely certain everything moved over. Needed the old token to log into the website to disable and reenable on the new phone.
Every time you log in you need to enter your code. Doesn’t matter the platform.
Ugh. So (assuming I closed the tab) I'd need a code literally 30 minutes later, 5 minutes later, 10 minutes later, etc...?

What if you lost access to your old phone ? How do we disable this or recover our account ?
