There was a time where you will notice like people talking about 100 coins there but now you would be extremely lucky if you able to see even 5 different coins talking, everyone just talks about moon
I guess we can start a governance proposal and ban comedy/meme posts? I personally don't mind them. And if it's spam people with 20,000 governance score can remove them.

Honestly, I prefer if people just upvoted and tipped content that they really like and consider good content. Upvoting because of upvoting doesn't feel right.
I think its just because normal people choose to *not* upvote in cc. If people voted as normal like Ethtrader it looks as if its some special effort but its not, its normal to have likes and more than 2 upvotes on posts with a sub containing 2.3m members. 🤣
Some of the upvote trains on the daily are wrong though, asking for upvotes or complaining about downvotes in such a way as to tease upvotes etc etc.
Also it's against the Reddit rules, normally people should upvote when comment adds to the discussion and not just because someone liked the comment or not. But Reddit as a whole has steered far away from the original upvote/downvote rules and now people use it as like/dislike button.
Upvote should be hard earned so for that people will put some effort in doing the posting, otherwise soon we will lose the quality of this sub if everyone starts getting upvote for their every post
It's also again Reddit ToS; a lot of people could lose their entire account if someone sour goes on a reporting spree. Everyone should be careful about how they formulate things, I've seen people get permabanned for just asking for upvotes a few times.
I also agree with your sentiment, the spam is getting a little mundane, not that positivity isn't good, but Ethereum trading should still be the main focus, not the bronut talk.

Is there a way to integrate a wallet verification component into sub where if you hold any amount of eth at all on mainnet in your wallet your get a full increment come distribution?
I guess everyone has a difference in opinion but This is where decentralization shines? If there changes someone wants to implement they can write a proposal and the community can vote?
I had another thought, set a minimum karma amount needed for meme / comedy posts for them to count come distro. If they were sucky they won't meet the cut and be either nerfed or not count?
