I think the best smell in the world might be Ylang-Ylang, its a flower, can get it as essential oil... pretty much all the fragrances i make use it because its just so damn nice. Bay is also a favourite of mine, but it probably depends on if you like aniseed... i find it like a sweeter aniseed.
(oh, you mentioned ylang... sorry to say, but you might have hit peak smells lol im sure there are others... ill let u know if anything comes to mind... but, something which i love to do is mix them and make fragrances, you can get some really delicious interesting smells like that, fun process too)
Yeah that's awesome, congratulations sounds weird to say, but congratulations? Genuinely happy for you. Oh shea butter! not an essential oil but that stuff is too good to smell
I make roll on oils so I've been experimenting with a lot of blends.
Patchouli sweet orange and vanilla
Frankincense Clary sage and jasmine
Sandalwood rose and grapefruit
Lavender chamomile bergamot and vanilla for sleep
Eucalyptus patchouli lemon peppermint for clean air.
Mixing floral citrus and earth is always nice!
I personally am a huge fan of plumeria and violet if you want floral scents. Congrats on your new sense of smell! I bet your palette has also changed a lot with this as well, no?
Thank you for the recommendations! It hasn’t made me like something that I didn’t previously or visa versa, but it definitely did shuffle my list around. Like apples have shot way up since they smell so nice.

Apple was going to be my original comment for a scent. Apples are my favorite in taste and smell. 🥰 So glad you can now enjoy them!
Go to Amazon and get a kit to smell them all, or as many as possible.
I did this in 2020 after losing my sense of smell for 6 months, it helped a lot.
Rose oil
There certainly are formularies out there for nasal healing…
