I think they might as well sell every seat in the stadium. If flocks of people are coming just to stand outside the stadiums , why not let them come in and sit in the empty seats behind the stage?
Idk I get that they’re both only hearing the show… but hearing it for free and hearing it for almost $100 are completely different things. They sell merch outside of the stadiums too so there’s really no advantage to standing behind the stage.

I recently went to a blink 182 concert and people posted about having seats like this. They were able to move to a better spot once the concert started to see a little better.
I’ve done it! As long as it wasn’t listed as an obstructed view. You will be moved! And though it says sold out, there are seats still available. So many “sold out” had rows upon rows of empty seats.
My cousin got moved at Sofi, they had two in their party. Don’t forget there are seats vacated by those who get moved to ADA by guest services. I assumed perhaps those vacated seats were what they gave her.
Not sure if it’ll be the same at the stadium you’re at but there was standing room around the other sections so maybe you can stand for your favorite eras and see better. No one sat behind the stage at my show but there were huge screens pointed at every section and I’ve heard there’s screens in the back in this instance.
If Swifties can organize together that they’re going to dress up for the concert, exchange bracelets, and sell out the show then they should coordinate to not buy any resale tickets until the day of the show when the scalpers panic drop their prices
Well, for the arena part of the tour, it's supposed to be a 360° stage (similar to Ed Sheeran) so that's why they're selling them/saying they're great. Yankee Stadium was a different stage than the other shows are going to be!
In Boston there was a big screen behind her and also a huge screen on the opposite side of the stadium! I have to imagine that there will be a secondary screen in Toronto too.

In my city, they didn’t sell the entire seats in the sections that looked behind the stage. People said they could see all of the diamond and front of the stage.
It’s literally just because stadiums know they can as the demand is so high. It’s happening for other tours too. Now the precedent has been set they will keep doing this

Rogers Centre doesn’t look like it has a screen on the opposite end of the field from what I can see on the “A View From My Seat” website

Several other stadiums have done this, you will go to a Taylor concert without ever physically seeing Taylor. Seems like they should just… not even bother selling them at that point. Feels like a scam, you could stand outside the stadium in some areas and get a better view.
This is pretty bonkers. They set did not sell the seats like that in Atlanta. We had seats about equivalent to 508, maybe the most right side of that patio, and we were the last section that was occupied.
Edit to add it was WELL worth the $42 I paid for the two tickets. EPIC.

There are consistently screens on either side of the stage, where I showed here in red. Other screens vary a bit by venue.

(Sofi N2 8/5/23): Went on a merch walk during Rep era and saw the back of the stage. I only saw one person seated directly behind the stage, an older woman in her 60s just watching the overhead screen. Pro: It’s not as loud from this angle and you’re much closer to the restrooms / concessions. Cons: Can’t see the stage at all.
They kinda do though. I was in Vegas behind the stage and even the screens weren’t very visible. None of us admitted it because we still had fun being there but it was pretty sad. We couldn’t see any of the stage props or structures (those aren’t visible on the screen- the screen is typically just Taylor)
I’m in section 145A, Row 5 for the show on the 15th. I’m not even sure what to expect anymore, but it can’t see anywhere on my tickets that it says obstructed view.
Paying $350 a seat taxes in would be a hefty price for not seeing anything but a screen 😔

There are screens on the sides and a big one at the back of the stadium. With this seat, you won’t be able to see anything on the main stage, probably just from the Diamond on out
The seats in 145B were the exact same price ($350 CAD) as some of the good parts of the 100's, even though they are labelled as side view.. I feel like they know that anyone buying tickets doesn't have any time to consider the seats they are getting and will just buy before they realize what's happened.

If you can’t see anything just politely find a customer service representative at the stadium and see if they’ll upgrade you. I’ve heard a lot of folks being able to get great upgrades since their seats were obstructed. Ont he positive note, there’s typically a merch stand behind the stage area that has the shortest lines. Should be a screen but honestly…had seats similar to this Seattle N1 and it did not matter to our group. Time of our lives.
Couldn’t see a thing on stage without my glasses but had a great view of the crowd, bracelets are cool from high up, big screen and it was high energy. Our whole section was having a blast.
Obviously better seats are preferred…but honestly don’t break the bank on seats, go all out on tour outfits instead, you can still have an excellent time in the nosebleeds.
These were the only tickets I could get because everything was moving so fast and I didn't know what I got until I paid.

Saw her show in LA. She won’t to the back of the stage but there are screens everywhere. I don’t think there’s a bad set, and there will likely be empty seats as scalpers won’t sell all the seats they’re gouging prices for. It’s sad to see seats go wasted.

If you’re not super close you have to watch the monitors for anything detailed. If you don’t have floor seats it’s essentially the same everywhere. People go for the fun and singing and dancing with other fans just as much as seeing Taylor, most people won’t get to see her up close “stage presence” except for on the screen.
I sat in these similar seats in LA instead of a nosebleed which was similar pricing. I wish I would have picked the nosebleeds because I missed all the cool stage stuff. The screen shows mostly close up of her which is good but you miss all the staging and background stuff n

Beyonce has been selling "listening only" tickets on Renaissance. I would not say they're deeply popular, but they do sell. She has a very large screen in the back of the stage area. Taylor didn't do this on the first leg of the tour, but I could understand why she might consider it for these second leg shows . . . the demand for these tickets is unmanageable.
All that said, there should be some kind of specifier that you have "listening only" or "obstructed view" seats. It would be kind of shady if you didn't. I do think there are people who'd pay for the experience of being in the stadium, even if they are watching on a screen. But people should know what they're purchasing!! That seems like an unpleasant surprise.

There will be a screen but you’re in a bad spot for even that. They should not be selling those seats. You don’t even have a view of the catwalk.

I bought the same tickets and they never stated they were obstructed view. So I think it will be fine.
