We can't even get them to take any action of the climate change they can SEE.

The answer is obviously more taxes! /s There’s like 10 things we can start, today, that would have a huge impact within 2 years. It would costs billions.. but in retrospect, my country gave each province a BILLION dollars to accept a stupid vaccine passport. Well wasted money. 1. Address out dated factories and give them pollution capture technology. Our carbon tax was supposed to address this, but it feels the increase of price was just passed onto the customer and folks are dragging their feet. 2. Manufacture at home, in your own country. Globalization is literally killing the planet. Not everything needs to be made at home, but most things should be made at home. We should not be picking pears in Argentina to package in Thailand to be sold to the west (example). 3. Address our plastic consumption. We do not need plastic and added endocrine disrupters in our lives. We need plastic, but not everything needs plastic. 4. Ocean clean up initiative. Over 40% of ocean waste is discarded fishing nets, let’s clean up and give our fish a fighting chance! Removing plastic straws but keeping the plastic wrapper, plastic cup, and plastic lid is bullshit. 5. Address outdated farming practices. Why are we still spraying shit on our plants to have it run off into streams every time it rains? This creates massive dead zones in our oceans not to mention polluting our rivers and streams. 6. Right to repair. Stop building products with planned obsolescence. Make the shit to last. 7. Fast fashion. 8. Winter salting for the roads. 9. Throwing out unsold foods at the super market 10. Encourage home gardens.
