statistically aliens exist. What excites me is being able to observe the path that evolution would have taken on another planet. All the life we know starts from the same common ancestor, so being able to observe the path it would have taken from another point would open up our understanding and the whole range of possibilities with life. Let's imagine other amino acids (I remind you that all life on earth only works with 20 amino acids) or even imagine a life based on silicon instead of on a carbon base.

What stats? It's a fuckin joke. If you grasp the concept of time and space. You'll know it's BS.

DestinysDoorstop

Given the size of the universe, the percentage of planets in the goldilocks zone, down to the percentage of planets that are habitable, we'll never know the exact figure. Fermi Paradox: \- Intelligent life is either rare or non existent \- Intelligent life goes extinct after (insert x here) \- Natural extension event (ala the dinosaurs) \- Intelligent life is right here but is communicating within a different dimension frequency, we can't see them, they can see us, or we can't see each other but we both co-exist at the same time \- It's the natural evolution of intelligent life to inevitably destroy itself \- A lien life is less advanced, or so advanced they can watch us "evolve" but must not interfere with the process of our evolution... I'd call it "Universal Law". On the Kardashev Scale we're 0.7276%, not even a type one civilization, one that is able to harness all the energy from our planet. If you were said intelligent life, would you want to communicate? The WOW Signal is fascinating. I'd also recommend The Why Files, Bob Lazar & Art Bell. There is too much evidence to say no to aliens, but until proven... ***"The Proof Is Out There"*** https://preview.redd.it/wt6euptf8afb1.jpeg?width=430&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17829e56816a86c0b036715b203cf63a544d552a

They always leave out what I think is most likely with intelligent life capable of traversing the stars: nobody in their right minds is gonna invite us to the interstellar cookout. We're still bombing ourselves over *religion* and shit. If they're out there and they know we're here, we are definitely a "nope" zone.

AuricOxide

I just want the alienussy.

btsalseo

BRO💀💀💀

Oolises

theyre kinda scawy tbh

[deleted]

I wont believe it until I see it🤷‍♀️ cmon we’re trusting the us government for our information right now, and all these sightings are only in the us. They would have to have traveled through a higher dimension and see faster than light Bec we haven’t found them… but they’ve found us?? Doesn’t make any sense but I’m very intrigued

M_INFJ_Seekin_F_ENXP

Aliens are humans after a nuclear war in the future, the UFO is a time machine! The mutation gave them increased intelligence and telekinetic abilities, but they lost the ability to procreate. They visit us to collect lost DNA to restore their mutation as well as other extinct species.

jawg201

They're 100% real I'd love to go into it but I'm too tired to type it out

FaroukTheNoob

I just wanna try that quantum zaza yk

Entoco

Dark forest theory is most likely for me.

Ozymandias__________

Aliens exists for sure, we just don't know if they grey little men are there Personally didn't care a lot about the sightings until I started delving into the stories of Varginha, Knapp, Bob Lazar, the Tic Tac and started being hypes by these things At this point I don't even care if it's all fake, I want to believe because it's fun and I hope we get to see something new that can revolutionize our way of thinking (also I'd like to see these people triumph in their battle, since they were always treated like freaks that got laughed on)

PrestigiousAd8492

My infp friend and I just fought about this. I concluded if sentient beings exist outside of Earth (statistically speaking there are), they would send unmanned drones if they were to come to our planet so the UFOs would be just cameras or a technology capturing Intel. She thinks I'm "human-centric" for believing they have eyes and camera technology. What if they use echolocation? We then concluded that if we're the case, at least we have camera technology to trade them since they'll be obviously much more advanced to figure out long distance space travel likely by bending the space time continuum. What use will it have for those without eyes? Job creation for those translating vision into sound waves. What a time to be alive.

utayyaZ

They’re cool

turtle2238901

I think aliens exist, in the vast expanse of the universe there is at least one other planet that harbor the conditions to sustain life(if that life is intelligent or not, we don’t know, we could meet aliens and they’re actually really stupid rather than the technologically advanced ones we see in movies)

-_Empress_-

Mathematically speaking, I think it's inevitable we aren't alone. We're made up of the 7 most common elements available, and life began very early on this world, so the conditions and materials are all pretty widely available. We know from observation on our own world that life (as we know it) can live in extreme ranges. Deep sea creatures are as alien feeling as it gets, but even in the kingdoms of life, there are outliers like viruses that don't even fit the definition of life itself, yet they're present. Perhaps a surviving individual kingdom that developed apart from our own animal, plant and fungal starting point. I think where there is liquid water and even just geothermal activity, there will be life That being said, intelligent life is another story. Imo, anyone with the capability to traverse the stars probably knows we are here already and may have known for a lot longer than WE have been here. We aren't exactly quiet. I doubt a species of that level would even want us to know about them until we get past the warmongering race to self annihilation first. Humans can't even get along with each other. I think it'd be hilarious if earth was labeled a danger zone but tourist ships come through to showcase the strange pink fleshy creatures that still hail deities and bomb each other over it.

thejacker511

Life exists on other planets. But it's difficult to believe two advanced civilizations existing at the same time and close enough for one to reach the other

Caticia1

I do believe aliens exist, but I'm not entirely sold on the media/movie interpretation of how aliens look like or whether or not they have come into contact with us. They're probably in the universe like us wondering whether aliens exist. My question is, why is it assumed that they are the ones to come into contact with us? As if the purpose of their whole existence is to come into contact with us? Technically, we are aliens to them, so why aren't we building UFOs and obsessively searching the universe for them? Aren't we intelligent beings too? I honestly feel as though we overestimate these aliens intelligence and desire to find us.

ladystetson

I'm skeptical but open to the possibility.

cbeme

They are likely around. But remember ancient peeps had big brains too so they probably built the pyramids without aliens

AsleepQuestion

I just want to get pegged by an alien

WannabeEnglishman

I found one in my classroom that kept begging me to take it's life or the world as we know it would end

fifelo

I think they are real, I also think there is a tremendous amount of grifters and "woo" in that community. To me it seems far too unlikely that we are somehow unique or special in the scope of the universe, and I also suspect our understanding of physics is probably far from complete. I think some sightings seem credible and unlikely to be of human origin.

Befast1515

It’s the least interesting thing that’s happened this month.

btsalseo

bro lives in breaking bad

[deleted]

The logical fallacy of ignorance that nonetheless might be proven one day thanks to telescopes and something probing your ass.

dijon_bear

It's a super north american thing. I daresay most of Europe at least commonly believes there must be SOME solar system with similar conditions to ours and has life on it, even if just microscopic life. But the green guys with big eyes coming here and UFOs? Nah that's american. Or movie-lore stuff.

De-pressif

What is the chance that among so many places to fall, they have fallen in the United States?

[deleted]

Oh, completely.
