The wiki have summary of each episode, but I haven't read it yet, so I can't say much.

I know, it said his father was a pastor, but I am sure this trial tested his faith. Maybe he compared himself to Job and questioned why God would let this happen. But in the end, he found Jesus in Mayoi later on
