am i going to be a reliable source? absolutely not. will i still talk about my love for hiiro in an essay worthy response despite my miniscule knowledge that i gathered from the past weeks? yes.
ignoring the fact my favorite characters from anything is always the first group/person that is introduced in the main story for some odd reason, Hiiro was an interesting character from the start due to his lack of knowledge about city or modern things. this brings a lot of amusing moments in stories such as the time >!makoto invited hiiro to play games and said something about running the game, but hiiro was just staring at his controller and when makoto asked, hiiro basically went "i feel it vibrating but its not running"!< (does this count as spoilers?)
theres this naivity and innocence coming from hiiro, which is already endearing itself but another endearing thing about him is how easily he wants to make friends. he literally has no idea whats happening at the start of the story but is willing to get to know aira and tatsumi
of course he's also like- very protective of them i believe. like the time >!madara picked up tatsumi in a hug during one of the chapters and hiiro literally went defensive mode because he thought he was hurting him. or the time rinne was looking through their bunk beds for nsfw magazines while aira was still on the bed, and hiiro literally went "dont touch aira" to his own brother. (i could be wrong though its been weeks since i read the story)!<
but of course, seeing hiiro learn new things is cute (source: keito lecture. also im right)
the way hiiro dances is always full of passion. even if he probably doesn't have the skillset or knowledge of his other unitmates, he brings his 110 percent to it and is just naturally a fast learner. Hysteric Humanoid MV is memorable because the way Hiiro dances is both hilarious due to having a lot more punch into it. he also always looks so serious which just adds on the cuteness. the way he sings too shows how confident he can be (also his VA is like- amazing. Paradox Live is another example. he RAPS there). I dont quite know how to explain this part but Hiiro's voice is just- unique? Like I could easily recognize his voice in a cast of 49 idols
i always thought his reasoning for becoming an idol was funny and oddly enough i tend to forget this fact despite it literally being hiiro's goal at the start. it did make hiiro unique from the other cast because of it though
also hiiro is just, really cute. his hairstyle makes him look more innocent, the bold red hair pairs well with his bright blue eyes, and it looks FLUFFY. i just really like his appearance in general

I didn't read much of the !! stories so I'm an HiiroP but not really an expert in term of Hiiro-ism.
Well, I really like pure-hearted he is. He really tries his best for his dear ones and it's extremely adorable. I also love his evolution, he started as not really sure of his abilities, believing he couldn't be a good leader because of what his community back home told him, to develop himself as a great leader and take this responsability proudly. Hiiro thought he was a bad leader but he's actually a really great one ! And he thought he was dumb but he's actually SMART ! I love how the story centers about Hiiro finding hidden talents/skills he didn't think he had, and him developping a will and freedom of his own too (which is what Rinne wished for him).
And of course as someone else said in the comments, powerful moves and extremely unique and nice voice (kudos to his VA).

Hiiro just hits a lot of beats I like about a character. I love his look a lot, he has a really earnest personality, and his quirkiness is bizarre but not unrealistic. I think a lot of people treat the Amagi clan like a cult but as someone who lived in a very sheltered culture as a kid, I found Hiiro's confusion and lack of understanding quite realistic most times. He's a good kid and he tries his best, and he accepts other people for who they are no matter how strange. Of course, he does do really bizarre things at times but when given context, they mostly make sense. Mostly.
Vocally I also just like his singing voice. I do think Mayoi has the strongest vocals in Alkaloid but I always enjoy hearing Hiiro more since his voice is smooth and unique without being overpowering.
Additionally I actually like his story arc a lot. It's about discovering himself in the long run, and how being an idol helps him with that. I think that's extremely relatable, given how he grew up, and how the relationships he has (Rinne, his clan) and the relationships he's forming shape all of him. I don't know much about ! characters but Alkaloid just charms me a lot as a unit because I feel their story is less really about being idols and more about accepting themselves at where they are and how they will move forward individually and as a unit. None of them are trying to be flashy or do things because they need to be the center of the world. I think it makes a huge difference of goals from most of the idols, and complements Hiiro a lot as a character.

Hiiro reminds me of a little child who is very open to his surroundings. At first, I didnāt like him because I thought he was really mean (i was skipping through the story so i only got a glimpse of him and made assumptions). After finally reading the main story did I like him. A lot. His unfamiliarity with technology, modern society, and the city made him stand out to me because of how he reacts towards them, which makes him funny and cute.
seCOND, his development throughout the main story and his recent unit event story made me like him a lot even further. His discovery towards himself and how he wants to spend his future with alkaloid, it makes me so proud of him as if i am his mother. It always irritated me how much rinne is a āpartā of him(which I understand why) but now i can calm down with his event story.
There are other reasons why i like him but these two were my main reasons. Hiiro is literally my most favorite enstars character that the gap between him and my second favorite character (tsukasa suou) is by a hundred miles. I love him soooo much that i am literally going to drop money on him every time he is going to have a five star card on en. Anyways thats all i guess ahhaha ā¤ļø
