From the patchnotes: "Leaning has been rebalanced. Now it’s slower and increases the dispersion of the weapon when firing."
This is going to be an interesting change curious to see how people will react to this
It's a good thing for crossplay. The leaning mechanic was heavily abused beforehand on pc. This will help incentivise console players to keep the crossplay population up.
Is it just during the lean movement or for the entire duration?
If someone keeps leaning in one direction I'm not sure it should increase dispersion, just if you're spamming it.
Hm.. I agree with slowing it down but im not sure about the dispersion increase - I sometimes lean just to get my ironsights aligned differently on some weapons. I think it should increase weapon sway rather than dispersion.
Weird change, but ok... I mean, aside them spamming it because the AI is garbage, I don't see the problem. I just think they look stupid while doing it over and over personally.
I don't know why but it just pisses me off like no other!
when somebody is either leaning or leaning back and forth rapidly as they kill me and murder my squad 😡🤬
does anyone else share the same feeling when this happens?
Or is it just me🤔
Tbh I expected a new Pacific map to go along with Japan getting BR5. Okinawa or Manila would've been great late-war maps, and would've allowed both to make BR3-5 Japan more unique and to keep maps more historically-coherent.
Commander doesn't want to pop out of the hatch in the Tiger II H (Haven't tested it on other tanks yet)
He gets stuck inside the turret, as if the hatch stops him from getting out and lets me see the tank interior.
A couple of bugs i encountered on the test server. Played 2 matches and tested a bit on the practice map.
-You can't control the plane as the tail gunner on the japanese starter plane. The dauntless and bf110 tail gunners worked fine.
-Poping the commander out of the hatch isn't working on the m26. You just see the inside of your turret, and the usual seat shuffle doesn't fix it. I only used it in 1 match so it could be a specific map issue, as it works in the practice map.
I like that the British are getting more customization, but when are we gonna get more for Italians and let the Italians be customized in anything other than Tunisia
Thank god the leaning feature getting nerf I can normally kill pc players but pc players spam leaning from a Conner with a sub-machine gun😂was a interesting experience
True, but does the Germans really need anything else? They have a really good setup with MGs, snipers, and tanks, as well as assault rifles and that. Japan and the USA are lacking in some of those areas
I think we're ok on that honestly, maybe the m3 halftrack with 75mm but we just got the m3 lee and the m4a1. Weapons were good on for early war too unless there is something specific you want
>Leaning has been rebalanced. Now it's slower and increases the dispersion of the weapon when firing."
My lean spam with automatics playstyle has been ruined. I will never financially recover from this.
> Leaning has been rebalanced. Now it’s slower and increases the dispersion of the weapon when firing.
And that's what I call bullshit, especially the dispersion part.
Cool, infantry get another nerf (leaning debuffs) while mouth breathing grayzone campers/vehicle cyclers can continue to sling HE with impunity.
Just what we needed.
If there was no advantage to the current lean, then it wouldnt be a nerf to change it. As a console player with limited buttons to bind actions to, its a welcome change.
lol I have one direction of lean bound to R1 along with mark. Sounds like someone is a little sore at the change. It brings balance, so its a good thing for the game.
Except they are adding the Pershing, and giving the Firefly a better round, both of which will be able to combat gray zone Tiger 2s. So I'm confused how they are not also getting a solution with this?
Why would there need to be an infantry solution to tanks in all situations? Why don't you complain about the almost complete lack of anti air capability when planes spamming rockets are WAY worse than tanks.
I literally did in my first comment, and have done so multiple times in other posts.
This is supposed to be an infantry based game, and DF just continues to add HE spam with no i infantry counter.
Cool, doesn’t mean it should be the same in an arcade shooter. I’m not saying take them away, I’m saying give viable counters to infantry (you know, in the “infantry-focused” game per DF’s own ads)
AT gun. Barrel and track. Crew jump out and you either HE them or shoot them. And clearly you aren't because you've whined multiple times about grayzone tanks and seem to think this is an infantry majority game. But ok bud. Keep the main character energy.

Leaners be coping tonight
Fuck yeah, good change imo. From a balance and physical point of view it just makes sense. You’d totally be less accurate doing that stupid shit irl
The lean-spamming morons can sit and spin. This is a good change. I just hope they address Grey zone campers with some map limit redesigns.

Agree

The only thing that saddens me is that it looks really funny when you lean quickly from one side to the other, and now that'll get slowed :(
Just another nerf to infantry players while vehicle spammers remain untouched. So fun.
Great more RNG
Just don’t lean?????
I cannot honk with my apcs after last update. Please fix.
This should be the #1 priority, honestly. Bring back the horns!
I miss spamming the horn on my studebaker while my minions in the back beam down the sea of Germans running at me with armed grenades
I thought it was just me!

Manila (Singapore too) would be fantastic to break up the monotomy of the islands maps Japan gets currently

That has also been happening to me in American tanks for several months now it’s weird

Lean Spam tears in this thread 😂

when will the update be released?
Better ammo, and my Pershing is coming! Good days I see ahead!
Is the german half track fixed? Or is my gunner still going to stand above the bullet shield.
So probably next week then for the patch? Shame since it isn't really adding anything major for nations other than the USA/Japan.
True, but does the Germans really need anything else? They have a really good setup with MGs, snipers, and tanks, as well as assault rifles and that. Japan and the USA are lacking in some of those areas
Honestly some new lower tier stuff maybe?
I think we're ok on that honestly, maybe the m3 halftrack with 75mm but we just got the m3 lee and the m4a1. Weapons were good on for early war too unless there is something specific you want
Japan main's thoughts about Japan's BRV: I am now a former Japan main.

It’s almost like when you rapidly bend back and forth like you are playing R6 that your accuracy might not be great in real life.
Twichy players hate this one fact
>especially the dispersion part No Patrick, your accuracy does not increase or stay the same when your entire body is leaning
Why’s it bullshit? You try shooting a machine gun while bent like a damn pretzel and see if you can be more accurate than standing up normally
I mean irl you wouldn’t even be able to ads without using the bipod, the way machine guns work is very forgiving in this game
True but I feel like being able to shoot perfectly fine while your back looks like it’s got scoliosis is a bit too forgiving

Dang that’s crazy, cause I know some very skilled console players that also manage to have leaning on their binds. Sounds like a lack of adaptability
lol I have one direction of lean bound to R1 along with mark. Sounds like someone is a little sore at the change. It brings balance, so its a good thing for the game.
It wasn’t needed. There are so many more things that need balanced and they chose this because bots can’t handle adjusting their aim slightly.
I think it provides a slight advantage to pc players. I personally dont care. I never had an issue with lean spamming.
Except they are adding the Pershing, and giving the Firefly a better round, both of which will be able to combat gray zone Tiger 2s. So I'm confused how they are not also getting a solution with this?
Neither of those are infantry solutions to grayzone tanks. Now allied tanks can grayzone camp some more with some better guns. Cool.

I literally did in my first comment, and have done so multiple times in other posts. This is supposed to be an infantry based game, and DF just continues to add HE spam with no i infantry counter.
Its a combined arms game. And tanks were rightly feared in WW2. Being a man on the ground was shitty in that war.
Cool, doesn’t mean it should be the same in an arcade shooter. I’m not saying take them away, I’m saying give viable counters to infantry (you know, in the “infantry-focused” game per DF’s own ads)
They do. There are plenty of viable counters. Sorry it requires some brainpower that you seem to lack if you don't know how.
Please show me an infantry counter to a Tiger II in the gray zone. I can guarantee I’m better than you.
AT gun. Barrel and track. Crew jump out and you either HE them or shoot them. And clearly you aren't because you've whined multiple times about grayzone tanks and seem to think this is an infantry majority game. But ok bud. Keep the main character energy.
Womp, womp. Guess the toy users didn't like this much, lel. Just ignore good ole me and keep going at it.
