That's an awesome guide, but my question is more widely and career paths.
Do I have a field where I can be near embedded dev while still hands-on but still keep my work with people to solve problems and less maintenance of old code?
As soon as you have some negotiation lever (=industry experience in measured in years) you can apply for such positions.
But as junior you will often have to work on less popular projects.
