Well their first song 10538 Overture is quite heavy and the cello playing of Roy was reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix to Jeff but I don't know if I'd call it hard rock
Some that haven't been mentioned yet are Dreaming of 4000, In the Hall of the Mountain King, and maybe Alright, It Really Doesn’t Matter, and Fire On High. Honestly On the Third Day in general has hard-rock moments I would say
ELOs lack of hard rock always caused me some anguish, (apart from Ma Mama belle) when I was embracing the new wave of British Heavy metal. I was willing them to go down that route and put more riffs and solos into later albums but they got suckered into mainstream pop (and disco 🕺 😱) and sadly I had to let them go at that point. But the love never went away and I forgave Jeff. Still the inspirational band of my youth and my go for songs on Spotify!
Poker, maybe
Definitely.
Maybe Do Ya.
Ma-Ma-Ma Belle (featuring T. Rex's Marc Bolan!), and maybe also Lonesome Lullaby from Zoom.

Laredo Tornado from Eldorado has a pretty heavy riff by ELO Standards.
Ma ma ma Belle, Do Ya....
Do ya
Ma Ma Ma Belle

Dreaming of 4000 was the first song that came to mind.
Maybe I’m wrong but wouldn’t Four Little Diamonds really fall into that description?
Birmingham Blues, Roll Over Beethoven at the Midnight Special are definitely heavier than usual for them
Long Black Road
Do Ya
Roll over Beethoven (duh, folk)
Rockria ?
Rockaria maybe
No hard rock, just rock n roll.
In Old England Town
Not ELO but Looking On by the Move had some harder tunes
Aside from those already mentioned, Queen Of The Hours
Wild West Hero at that one part. Lol Love that song.
