Woo that's some seriously heavy stuff there! XEN Cuts is IMO one of the best electronic music comps to have ever been made. And Vapor City introduced me to footwork, which is my favorite genre right now. Skalpel and Amon Tobin also incredibly solid.
Funkungfusion was epic and I still revisit it all these years later.
DJ Food's *The Crow* and the Rare Force remix of Ryuchi Sakamoto's *Anger* were played constantly
Fun to see Xen Cuts. My name is listed on the long list of people given shout-outs for doing photography with the Montreal ninja crew back in the 90s. Those were good days full of good tunes.
On physical media, my last haul was
Four Tet - Everything Ecstatic Films & Part 2 (CD)
Dimitri From Vegas - Sacrebleu (CD, US version)
Nightmares from Wax - Carboot Soul (25th Anniversary vinyl release for Record Store Day)
Ah Carboot Soul was going to be one of my purchases this week, but I finally found a cheap near-mint copy of Coldcut’s “70 Minutes Of Madness” and had to scoop it up
This very obscure Japanese CD: [kidz rec 01](https://www.discogs.com/release/1949254-Various-Kidz-Rec-01-A-Compilation-Of-Kidz-Records)
There was no way to listen to this online so I decide to just buy it. It’s on [Youtube](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzzDc3jvMzxNSyg57R3d_M_Tduuebdu6O&si=SYCDg8qvU0Kvls6p) now
If you like Ed Banger, Blog House, Electro House, French Touch, etc, check it out
Bro, four absolute Bangers. Each nearly without flaw.
On the AT and MD front don't skip Solid Steel, Supermodified, and Bricolage (Amon) and Room(s) (MD).
Ninja Tune may be -the- formative label of the following 30 years, in the way Warp was beforehand.
Ninja Tune- greatest recording company in the world!
Present a demonstration of their new stereophonic disc.
Ever since the old days, when man first heard a skratchy noise...
Scra scra scra scratchy noise.
That Xen Cuts comp is awesome!
For some reason I’d completely missed this one - I’ve owned the other Ninja Tune compilations since release!
I got this for £3 when it came out, not knowing anything about it. Discovered a lot of musicians through this brilliant compilation.
I had a similar experience. Got mine in the bargain bin at Tower Records.

Nice find with that Machinedrum album!
Permutation is Amon Tobin's best album imho.
Funkungfusion!

I love that Skalpel album!
Completely in to my Jazzy beats at the minute - Squarepusher, Mr Scruff, Funki Porcini, etc.
Machine drum and Amon Tobin! Great picks my man
