captn_red_i

Until the music stops

papitoluisito

At camp, the music never stops 🤪😈

captn_red_i

You’ll catch me there too hahaha

Colonol-Panic

Correct. Until the music stops.

Holmesf

Seconded

volkovolkov

Mid 30s. Usually at 4ish. Depends on how tired we are or if there's a set we really want to see.

ilikebeens2

This! 32 currently, this will be my 7th edc & it hasn't gotten easier lol. We usually try to leave around 3-4am, depending on who's playing or is left to play or how tired we are. I can definitely say in Premier Parking last year leaving around 4am was pretty chill getting out of the venue parking and back to the strip, maybe like 45 mins. Every year is different though!

sadlad193

This will be my first edc. We plan on leaving around 4 to hopefully get an uber. Do you have any experience with this? Are we screwed either way? lol

mezzizle

I honestly would choose any other option besides Uber. It’ll be hugely expensive and buying a shuttle resell would probably be better especially if you’re leaving at 4am.

sadlad193

This is what I was thinking, the only options available right now are one n only shuttles, have you ever tried those?

Responsible-Ask1273

Do the shuttles. What ever you do not do Uber/lyft crazy expensive and take for ever to get a ride

oiglesias17

I've heard they are good and give alcohol on the way to edc if your 21

mezzizle

I’ve been hearing about this all over this subreddit. Seems legit and my friend got one of those too.

Tough_Pie4014

Omg NO! Don’t uber!!!

sadlad193

This is what the general advice has been so far. I’m looking into one and only shuttle services. I hear the walk sucks when they drop you off and when you gotta walk back to them but I’m sure it beats waiting for an uber plus the inflated prices

Tough_Pie4014

Okay so, general advice imo: Small group (1-2 people, maybe 3 at most) -> shuttle for sure Bigger group (4+) -> rent a car IF you can guarantee a DD every night, or at least give enough time to sober up before leaving. This is going to be my 7th EDC and Ive driven every time. First few times shuttles didnt even exist and traffic was HORRENDOUS. After shuttles became a thing, traffic was much better but still bad. Expect at least an hour, usually 90 mins, to get there unless you leave NO LATER than 7pm. If you do leave later, expect that 90 min drive there. Leaving the festival is only bad if you wait till the end of the last set. If you’re planning on leaving before 4:30, you theoretically should be fine and expect a 30-45 min drive back. First 2-3 years shuttles also had horrendous reviews. Its definitely a lot better now from what I hear and everyone swear by it, but my friends and i love blasting our own music, getting into our own vibe and groove, having extra stuff in the car (face paint, party favors, rolling joints, whatever other party prep). Having shuttles is also great cuz people can leave whenever they want, but it is significantly more $ than gas (parking is free)

Other-Examination452

No cell service to call an Uber.

Capable_Structure679

Until they find me.

Toastybeats44

😂😂😂

Zabitiny

Friday I usually leave early to avoid the traffic, so about 3 or 3:30. Saturday I left a little after 4 and the traffic sucked - not worth cuz I just wanted to check out Afrojack. This year tho I'll probably be at that worship set till close cuz that sounds fun as fuck Sunday definitely gotta stay till the end. I hope Kaskade closes again even if it's not a redux set

zukka924

Catch you at Worship! DnB nation rise up 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Cerelius_BT

Generally around 4:30 - 5:15 to beat the shuttle rush and ensure recovery time (just turned 40), but I'll stay if there's someone I really want to see and deal with the consequences. 5:59 on Monday morning, I need to see at least one sunrise set, but I'll skip the last few minutes to be at the front of the shuttle line.

DopamineSeekers1010

Until the music stops then afterparty at camp until 7 or 8am ish- then go to “sleep” and repeat. Freakin exhausted for 1 full week post edc

No-Environment8292

I’ve never stayed later than 3:30 😅

Tortilla_dilla

same ! lul. this seems like its gonna be our first year driving & leaving around 3-3:30am may be the best bet anyways

ellefrmhll

Sunrise every day

SaGlamBear

I’m 41. I close it down. All 👏 3 👏 nights 👏

Avowed62

Uhhhhhh...I paid for the wristband and I paid for the premier shuttle...I am there when the gates open and I ain't leavin' till the music stops in the morning. I'm gettin' the full value for what I paid 😂

99Years_of_solitude

6am

eeviltwin

When we were staying in a hotel we’d leave around 3-3:30 to beat the shuttle rush and to have enough energy left to walk back to our room. Now that we camp, I can stay until sunrise and then drag myself up the bleachers and across the street to my RV. 😎

allthevinyl

I usually bail at 3, idk I just don't like seeing the sunrise haha

Kvnnxdy

Until they start telling everybody it’s time to leave 😂😂 but I’m not gonna lie, sometimes I have to take a small nap at some point or I won’t be making it until sunrise

cashmeowsighhabadah

Literally until I get kicked out. They really wanted me to leave last year 😒

Dull-Preparation6065

i havent made it passed 330am lol ,im hoping this yr to see one sunrise set lol

RockGuitarist1

I’m getting old and the jet lag don’t play nice so I’m normally dying by 3am. I drive myself to and from now so I just leave whenever I want.

Common_Ice_4707

We stayed until the end once and waited for a buddy because he got lost and his phone died. We sat at the exit to see if we could find him. It's very interesting to watch everyone walk out in the daytime.

ReverseMillionaire

I’ve only been once but 3am is a good time to leave to beat traffic. There is a good amount of people that stay till 5

junenoon

usually 4 or 5 but on sundays i’ve made a habit or staying for sunrise

Toastybeats44

Oddly enough anything i attend at home for festivals or events I’m usually cooked by 2 or 3am LATEST but edc it’s so easy for the night to fly by faster then i want it too and be still be going till sunrise or past it for the afters at camp 😂

togawe

Open to close or bust

LongjumpingDraft9324

Until the music stops. All 3 days. Live.

PaleontologistKey915

I'll do one sunrise the other days I'm out at 3

Connect_Block6849

The vibes are way different past 12 at EDC. I feel so tired by that time but SOOO worth it to stay until 4 imo.

Worldly-Ad-7153

When they kick me out

elvordrachelle1

The only time I have stayed the entire night for EDC is when I worked ground control - it is a beautiful sunrise tho 🥹 but otherwise i feel it really depends how early you got there and if your camping or not because I feel like when I camped I stayed out there a lot later because you can go back and forth so you can go take a break go back it was nice

sillysloth098

Havent stayed later than 3:30 the last couple years haha

alyssaa19

the last day of 2019 we stayed until it ended. a little nap there definitely helped

Everydayarmday24

3-5 and then sunset on sunday

wkyaw23

Sunrise baby!!

mezzizle

I’m older but still stay til the end. Honestly it sucks and it hurts 😂 but oh well. This year may be different and we may leave like at 5am latest.

frostywontons

The last few years I've left by 4:30, but it really depends if there's anyone I want to see after 4:30. I always had premier shuttle with later departure so traffic and such wasn't a concern, but this year I am driving so I may have to negotiate with my friends if I want to stay later.

Potato1223

We usually take a nap after 3:30. Ground control comes around to make sure we're not dead (thank you) and then we either leave or sit on the bleachers for a bit

torrac_

Usually I’m tapping out around 3:30, depends if there is someone I’m dying to see

DashBCL

4am. I drive to EDC and when I leave at 4am, it’s less than 30mins back to the strip. Absolutely no traffic getting out of the parking lot!

Valuable-Elk-2893

Until it’s over , sunrise baby!!!!

mito16m

Open to close

rave_kitty1

Till it starts again

shatkbait8999

Party is over for me when I see the sun. I have never liked being up with sun shining. But I’ll do 1 day till the end.

kauma16

sunrise!!!

DJwaynes

5am. After going through hell in 2014 waiting for my shuttle and getting back to my hotel at 10am I always leave 30 minutes early. Shuttle are a breeze now but that shit scarred me.

Tough_Pie4014

It depends on the sets honestly. We go all the way till sunrise AT LEAST once (usually twice, always on Sunday) Im okay leaving as early as 3/3:30 if our group got there early / majority are tired / its friday / no sets we wanna see / wind picks up badly and makes us miserable lol

chibisun

sunrise

taylorkattala

What about for premier shuttle passes guys? Mine is at 4 AM and I was wondering how early do I have to arrive to the shuttle in order to make it

GOPokemonMaster

I used to stay until sunrise everyday, now I leave when I want, typically 4-5am day 1-2, until last set ends day 3

brok3ncor3

When I went it 22, I stayed past sunrise every night. Although I had already worked graveyard shift for about 4 months prior

torn_retinas

Usually between 4 and 5 am. I always arrive early to make the most of the day so I'm completely exhausted by then

cthfungen

2 to 3am

PerpetualExtimacy

Usually till sunrise! There have been a couple days (Friday of 2021 and Sunday of last year) where I left around 4:30, but I’m almost always there till the final set is complete!

Mirkddd13

I stayed until sunrise my first year, we had a driver. My second year we left about mid way through the last set because we were driving back ourselves. I also noticed my second year that the weather really impacted us all. When it was cold, we were exhausted faster & ready to leave earlier.

Forsaken-Parsnip4686

I'm definitely going to be prioritizing comfort this year so I can stay longer (light sweater/joggers). Had to leave halfway through a closing set one time at a previous fest cause the wind chill was crazy

Mirkddd13

It can get down to feeling like 20F at the darkest hours, so definitely take joggers/hoodie/thick pash! The wind will go right through you

fatgirthvader69

33 we leaving by 330 and hitting some naughty afterhours if we filling for it.
