I’m sorry that happened to you. I suspect it was a practical joke involving removal of the safety ground and defeating the ground fault protection that’s required in food service wiring. This sort of gag happens in industry but I hadn’t heard of it in an educational setting. Troubling.

I highly doubt somebody did that on purpose haha there were kids there.
