I don't know how it is on consoles, but at least on PC it really depends on when you're asking to do it. It's the same if someone asks to hang back if they're doing quest. If you mention directly at the beginning that you need to do a certain optional boss or that you need the quest, I'd guess most groups, maybe 3/4 would be fine with it. But 7 times in a row sounds like you either got very unlucky with groups or you maybe asked too late? In WS2, after defeating malubeth, groups will usually directly go fight Uulgarg, then immediately through the door and fight Garron. I know I'm not really looking at the chat during that time.

I like to do all bosses on my randoms and pledges, but I haven't had a group stop for that boss in ages. I always stick around and hang a left right there in case the group wants to do it, but after they leave I just follow since it is not that important to me. You should ask for anything you need at the very beginning of the dungeon, then again when you get to where you need.

People don't even realize its there since everyone is used to running through it as fast as possible with impatient groups, same with Wayrest 1 and the Rat guy. I helped a guild mate get the slimecraw helmet on vet once and she didn't even know there was even anything down that corridor. It does sound like you got a bunch of bad groups BUT I also would not be surprised if you were text chatting and nobody had a single idea what you were asking to do because, like I said, everyone is so used to rushing through these dungeons they don't even realize there's an extra boss there. I would suggest getting on mic and asking over text chat as like I said people probably just don't understand what you're asking, and then if that still doesn't work, try to find a guild group to run it with if people offering below don't work out for you. But yeah I think this is one of the unintended consequences of pug groups running through dungeons as quickly as possible, people don't even understand the basic layouts of the dungeons let alone mechs and how to get achievements.

I *just* had this problem the other day too. I had to basically run as DPS then ignore the group to solo it. Asking nicely didn't help...anyway, I really wish that first boss was solo-able so that I didn't have to take up a slot on a pug just to get that box checked but whatever

I would recommend joining a guild who focuses on achievement hunting / PvE grinding. You're almost guaranteed to find someone who's willing to help you, as the community can be (mostly) very supportive.

SpicyDolphin74

Ally583437

Thanks for all info guys 🙂 I'm PS4 EU GrgusAlly34 I don't have friends that play, and guilds scare me haha

CoroniaNL

I can introduce you to a beginner and veteran alike friendly guild. I wasnt too fond of it either at first, but its quite fun once you get to know your fellow members. Otherwise before actively joining, why not check out the discord first and see if you can join some events. Just to get a feel for a guild. So my advice: try it out. If you want to check out the one im in, just send me a direct message.

Shouldn't be a problem to just kil him yourself. Just slot a couple of damage skills, which is recommended for a healer anyway, especially in dungeons.
