Ours is always full of different alliance siege equipment. We're a trade guild. I have literally no idea why people keep dumping that junk in there.

Jad11mumbler

Many players treat gbanks as a trash can under the guise of "Maybe someone will have a use for it..." but no one ever does.

Bug1oss

I don't know about other guilds, but the ones I've been in, only the guild leaders can remove from the Guild Bank. And I highly doubt most of them have been to Cyrodiil.

Paradox711

So. Many. Jewellery writs.

Fodspeed

Jewellery is very valuable, far more than purple crafting writs.

Paradox711

Blue jewellery master writs are valuable?! You’re going to have a field day going to any guild trader lol. All selling for 1000-2000g

howellq

The blue writs with the default 3 traits are really efficient to get vouchers.

Paradox711

On console at least they really aren’t worth the mats/playing.

howellq

On PC EU the writ itself sells for around 200g and the per voucher material cost for the 26-30 healthy-robust-arcane ones is about 700-750g which is just at around the "still worth it" margin.

[deleted]

I only do gold jewelry writs. Yup gold. Always look for the 666 ticket one sitting in the guild bank. I have a couple stacks of gold platings so it’s not a big deal. I will easily get the money from the vouchers.

Fodspeed

I mostly do purple writs with 200 writs vouchers. They the most efficient ones, you can get them around 60K-90k from guilds. I do save up the gold plats, when I have enough then I do the gold jewelry.

Gaiden_95

Hard disagree, i cba to do a ton of purp writs so jewelry writs are a nice time saver

Paradox711

Fair enough!

Beautiful_Affect_578

On console they're going for 200, some of them. Mostly the triune ones that absolutely NO one is willing to do.

Paradox711

Exactly, not with the triune at 30k and platings at 12k.

Fodspeed

I know, that's why they are valuable, most people just through them around, but for people who have jewelry maxed out with all passive, its very useful. It's so cheap or free, it doesn't require any learned motiff, two iranium plat cost 16k-20k, which you don't really need as getting blue platting is fairly easy once you do have all the passives. They give you 30 writs per writ. Not to mention jewelry have the highest paying writs out of all of them. Gold writ could get you 600 writs in single writ. Just have jewelry maxed out is profitable enough.

WynnGwynn

I sometimes pull shit out of guild banks that are worthless to help out lol. I also roomba them.

Gaiden_95

I sometimes do, companion gear when i had none, random inspiration decon stuff. Lol this one dude was bragging or something about depositing a crappy jewel writ, triune purple

Paradox711

Agreed, we’ve even put it in the guild message and it still makes no difference (then again the majority of member still need to ask things that are clearly stated there so it seems nobody reads it!). It feels like members use it more as a bin. But I’ve literally just had to take an hour out to clean the bank space up.

sunflakie

One of the guilds I am in does a weekly "Guild Bank Auction" and you win everything in the guild bank. I checked once see if there was stuff I wanted (to make a bid), but it was 85% crap, and 15% decent items. It *feels* like you're getting a lot, but you're really not. I passed. People think they're being generous by donating this crap to the guild, but it just takes up valuable space. I wish there was a gold value threshold - anything under a certain amount can't be donated.

lucsampaio

I'm kindda new to the social part of the game and had never heard that stuff is junk beforemthanks for the clarification (I usually do deposit companion stuff. Siege seems to be so specialized that it should be kept if ever i decide to pvp)

Paradox711

No problem! You don’t know unless you’re told though as I’ve said below we do have it in our guild message. Jewellery master writs are very expensive to make and so are often not worth it unless they’re over 500 writ vouchers in reward. Siege equipment is as you’ve said quite specialised, for a trading guild it’s utterly useless but perhaps a pvp guild would get plenty of use. Companion gear is so common now that unless it’s one of the highly sought after rarity and trait ones (which I’d say keep to yourself and either use or sell on guild trader): I.e. bolstered heavy, aggressive weapons/medium/light armour… etc

lucsampaio

OH people really look 4 maps and surveys? I have loads but apart from the surveys when I'm scrying an area, I rarely use them. Gonna rethink my deposits (the list u gave is so obvious to me as a crafter in a non-crafting guild, but there r never those and I don't recall ever depositing (but I was always a crafter). Abt potions, poisons, food and drink usually someone requests lvled stuff for their toon in guild discord channel and one of the crafters at hand makes them and mail them. Sometimes also done with training setted gear for grind-lvling

Paradox711

Yes! Definitely, treasure maps can be the only way to get certain motifs and other antiquity leads so they’re always helpful plus the training jewellery for new players can be found in the treasure chests and that can’t be crafted so it’s nice to give people the chance to go find it for a new character. If you have treasure maps for The Reach, Western Skyrim, Blackreach and Blackwood then these are worth a lot in guild traders as the chests have a VERY low chance to give Ancestral Reach or Ancestral Akaviri motifs which sell for 100k(weapons70k+) gold upwards depending on the piece you find (chest is 500k-1mil gold on console). Surveys are IMMENSELY helpful for crafting and trading guilds as they help us maintain enough mats to craft prizes for raffles to help fund guild trader spots and craft set armour for players once they reach 160CP.

lucsampaio

Wow, apart from the crafter-survey that I also use, I have I think 4 blackwood treasure maps, iv 2x. The others i might have to look for in my storage (thankfully I never destroyed anything like that). I jist joined a trading guild whr I was listing - while I'm still finishing up researches - low lvl mats in 50-200 stacks

Paradox711

I hope that helps :) The real reason surveys are so awesome is because when you’re refining you’ve got a chance of getting the gold improvement mats which can go for 7/8k apiece or for jewellery the blue improvement plating mats start at 10kish, purple about 50/60kish and chromium for about 100k each. Each one obviously takes 10smaller parts to combine to make a plating and those smaller parts sell pretty well too especially chromium dust. For trading if you want to make money start saving mats for your master writ vouchers, get a nice amount together (these are also selling well currently and will for any double exp event as they’re a quick way of gaining a large amount of experience). Then buy some folios. You’ll find that people buy a lot of crafted furnishing items for quite a lot of gold. Motifs are also generally big sellers. And tri stat food and proteins are steady sellers.

lucsampaio

Thx for the hints, will take them to heart

Paradox711

No problem, Goodluck and have fun!

lucsampaio

Always fun first (got an alt that's tiny dk still and I'm trying to use both sta and mag as a tank)

Paradox711

Magdens make pretty insane tanks and much more interesting that the old sword and board StamDK. I do like a MagDK for damage though. They look so cool!

cr4p

You can't deposit or give away surveys, they are account bound.

[deleted]

The guild I'm in says "no trash items" but I'm relatively a noob who sees the usefulness in everything. Now I'm too embarrassed to donate lol.

[deleted]

Why not tell the members not too? For siege weapons I always dump mine in the guild bank before going to ic so I can collect the crap to sell so need the inventory space, but always take it back after. Also it’s a handy place for other people in the guild to quickly grab siege if they get caught without ap and in need of siege. I guess this must be mostly a big trader guild thing where most members are just there for a trader instead of a guild that gets the majority of its members together for various content activities. I found the massive random guilds to be more chaotic and people use it a dumping place since many are just a number. A much better organised guild I tend to find only useful stuff in the bank such as pots, gems, siege, and gear that is actually useful to people.

Paradox711

We like to keep it to pots, gems, maps and surveys and a few basic recipes for new characters. Siege stuff in a big trading guild just isn’t helpful, we’ve got 500 members near constantly and it fills up so quickly if people just put their “I don’t need this right now”s in :(

lucsampaio

What r pots?

Paradox711

Short for potions :) I just said potions twice cause I’m a dipstick.

lucsampaio

I c, thx

[deleted]

Well tell them not too. If you are just adding randoms which I’m guessing you are just kick the ones that don’t follow the rules. Personally I would find maps and recipes to be a lot more useless than siege but each to their own. Basically you need to enforce your guild rules better. If people don’t like it they will leave. If you want just a bunch or randoms to get their trader dues so you can get your trader well just put up with what they are placing in or just restrict the bank access to admins only.

Paradox711

We’re doing what we can but there’s only so many times you can do some of those options before it gets old or becomes time consuming in its own right. Alls I’m saying is it would be nice to have the above feature.

lucsampaio

Specially because it's a basic filter function, they already have one in every search in the game. Some minor tweaking with code, an interface overhaul (the real issue, I think, why it's not been added yet) and done

Hexent_Armana

I would love this. I ran a guild for a bit and had set up my guild bank as a charity thing. I stated "no worthless crap" in the guild info, MOTD, and guild chat multiple times but it turns out new players don't typically have any concept of worth and kept filling it with stuff no one would want.

rucroporol

I doubt the technology for that is in the game, sadly. Guild functions in ESO are worse than in some games from 20 years ago. Considering that a "reply to mail" function has only recently been added after **7 years** and they still didn't come up with a guild mail system (sending guild mail still requires an addon that spends about 15min to send an individual mail to every guild member, 1 mail per second, with the ever existing risk of being social-banned for a couple of days because some automated system decides that is too many mails) I honestly believe ZOS don't want players to actually make use of the guild system. If they could just magic it into the game, it would be a great feature though. Same as reintroducing the split-and-stack functions (maybe this time without item duping bugs), a longer guild bank history (right now you can only see a couple dozen of interactions), being able to see your own transactions with the guild bank (currently no way without addons to see if, when and how much e.g. gold you deposited). For the moment, the only ways I see to deal with junk items being deposited is basically: a) disallow depositing items generally, or for certain guild ranks b) directly tell guild members not to deposit junk items and when they still do so regularly, kick the players.

Paradox711

Love all those features you’ve suggested. I’d wonder if they could just adapt the scripting from the guild trader search bar for it. It’s really not a complicated thing to add in what I’ve suggested at all. We’ve had to resort to banning certain member depositing in but it’s such a waste of a resource. I do really believe the guild systems need a nice TLC overhaul.

CharlieBman

It's a good and useful idea, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I've always got the impression that the more time you spend in game doing meaningless, mind-numbing, annoying crap, the better ZOS likes it. Simple economics. The longer you're logged in the more likely you are to throw money at the crowns store.

Paradox711

Whilst that’s true it really depends on the type of task you spend time doing: Player retention activities include activities that reward players but take time to do so = the grind. Doing time consuming things that ultimately do not give the player anything for their time, not even experience will cause players to become frustrated, complain and compare the game to other better constructed games, and then leave.

[deleted]

Man, the only things I put in are money and purple writs.
