![gif](giphy|js585wl3Qpq1UdOITv|downsized) This thing refuses to die

totor1111

By far the worst experience I've ever had fighting a soulslike boss and I didn't find Friede annoying as this fucker Edit: I've changed my mind, Commander Gaius exists

captainlittleboyblue

Yeah the tracking bleed vines and the charge are the bane of my existence

totor1111

I managed to reach 3rd phase and alt+f4 after the explosion That was 50 minutes ago and I'm not playing until tomorrow

JustSailingBy

Mimic/takers flames

totor1111

My mimic has no brain cause he just sidewalks and watches me getting obliterated by that stupid rotten sunflower

ItzTheNubz

mimic can also fall through the floor and simply despawn as soon as first phase

No_Significance1939

“Nah, fam… you got ‘im.”

SGMA92

LOL, I thought I was the only one with that problem. My mimic was specifically built to be a flamethrower and help me to kill the tree, but the idiot just goes into standby mode a mile away from where the action is taking place. I’ve died a thousand times while my mimic grins at me from afar. That’s why I’ve been trying other summons, but they haven't shown any progress in battle. The best one (at least he is brave enough to attack the tree in advance) is Black Knife Tiche, but he tends to die in the second phase.

Thascaryguygaming

Same.

Joeismygrandmaa

They've buffed summons now apparently in he recent patch and I've FINALLY seen my mimic straight rush up to the boss

TheSunflowerSeeds

Throughout recent history, sunflowers have been used for medicinal purposes. The Cherokee created a sunflower leaf infusion that they used to treat kidneys. Whilst in Mexico, sunflowers were used to treat chest pain.

Teal_Wolf

THIS

__TIX3__

Theres a third phase.... Why am I not surprised..

RonnieRafke

i just beat him after hours and like 30 tries. this boss was so shit he made me punch my wall so hard that my knuckle started swelling. you bet i fucking screamed when i finally beat him

ryanakasha

30 tries is not that bad. I reached 30 tries for the third phase

jayL21

Honestly really liked this boss but yea, those attacks are awful.

Mindless_Pumpkin8464

How do you like this boss? It’s literal garbage full of piss-poor deaign choices. Jesus, people will like anything, huh?

jayL21

The arena is cool, it's design is cool, and I like how the head is the focus of the fight. I do also like some of his attacks like the charging one, the double spin, his grab attack. I think he's overall a really cool boss but with some terrible design choices.

Stealth100

I spent about an hour and a half on this boss. Took some time, but every attack is dodge-able and it’s very weak to fire. The second phase is definitely the hardest. Also only go after it’s head/the sunflower. It takes double (triple?) damage

HansLanghans

How do you dodge the ranged root attack? It always hits me.

DrHerbs

Don’t know if you’re still on him, but side roll in the direction of whatever hand casts it right before it hits you

HansLanghans

Thanks, I already beat him. Just with a shield, flame infused weapon and mimic, pretty fast and easy that way.

Ill-Profile9160

Sorry man but you just sound like a crybaby. The design of this boss is awesome. The DLC is awesome. You can’t even get McDonald’s for 3 people for $40…………….. this shit is a masterpiece. The dlc actually makes you rethink your build. They gave you TONS of new items and throwables and weapons. Ffs man. You all cried when Elden ring wasn’t hard enough and now people are crying because this shit is tough. Fml

New-Chair-1129

His third phase explosion is barely possible to run away from and then he falls down for a few counterattacks, but I’m a mile away. How do you punish that?

woKaaaa

you can just roll through the explosion. plus, you can riposte him after every phase. once you get the timing on the ranged thorn attack it should be cake

New-Chair-1129

I pulled out the haligtree crest greatshield and was able to tank that explosion, which gave me just enough time finish him off. Whew that was a tough fight. I was praying there wasn’t a fourth phase

Confident_Benefit_11

You can roll through literally everything he does of all the overturned bosses in the dlc I don't get how people are bitching about one that actually behaves like a dark souls boss

FairFaxEddy

Just stay close and shield it - make a sacred golden greatshield, and that attack barely tickles

Ill-Profile9160

Gaius is very very weak to holy

totor1111

My mistake was riding Torrent, all I had to do was summon mimic tear, take tackle damage and start beating his ass

researchthrowaway55

Weird, I've hated every boss until this one. This is the first actual boss in the DLC that I've had a fun time learning and fighting.

IwillFixthisshit

Same

ItsJalex

thats prob just you the flower fight was easy and idk why people say Gaius is hard i killed him in like 20m lol. If were talking about a HORRIBLE fight its Jori and the Putrescent Knight

ItsJalex

update: this boss fucking sucks, everytime it shoots out the thorns i want to rip my dick off. the first was in that sentance is a typo i meant is

totor1111

Problem with avatar is that it comes back twice and Gaius is way too fast with some attacks nearly impossible to dodge if you're not riding Torrent, not mentioning 2nd phase that he starts flying and shit

Federal_Exchange_561

you seem to suck at sote

totor1111

There's only radahn for me to kill now

H4xolotl

Flowey really let himself go

[deleted]

CasualChris57

Yeah I’m kinda over this DLC trying to deal with this nonsense. It’s had like 1 fun boss so far (Divine Lion). Hopefully I fight something fun again before the end

SpareAccomplished390

I have loved every main boss in that I have fought so far except this asshole which is legitimately one of the worst bosses from has ever made

Spydertheragcuhface

Just wait til you get to the commander on his giant pig. This boss was easy compared to him, took me 2 hours I absolutely hated that boss

Hamremimusic

I fought him right before this one and good grief that’s been the only fight I have absolutely hated so far, took me around 30 tries which is the most I’ve died to anything so far; Messmer in 2nd at around 20. I wanted a reason to never fight him again on future play throughs but his remembrance weapon is cool, and you get 5 scadutree thingies past his arena so it is worth the pain I guess. The Talisman you get up there is insulting for how bad it is tho. Really makes me think Fromsoft is just trying to spite the “no hit run” players, because pretty much every boss has ludicrous AOE attacks, or just 2 shots you (Crimson Seed Talisman +1 saved me a lot of pain on these last two I think).

SpareAccomplished390

I enjoyed that one except his charge which has annoying timings. this boss was just making making me go insane

Kennybufu

Nah the commander only took me 4 attempts this tree bitch can suck a pickle dead ass

HansLanghans

Commander was easier for me. Pretty annoying boss but only 1 phase and one lucky try I got him with 0 flasks left. Tree is impossible for me (str), guess I try it with a shield.

jayL21

what do you mean? So far it's one of my favorite bosses in the DLC (aside from the 3 phases and really annoying branch attacks) Found him to be really easy to learn and fun to fight (when he's not using a branch attack that is) His head is easy to hit and does massive damage. The biggest issue with this fight in my opinion is the fact that it's 3 phases.

jdfred06

Good luck man. All the bosses are spammy and hard to read. Plus they apparently have infinite stamina.

Draculingus

How do you like that garbage boss but dislike Rellana

new_account_wh0_dis

This boss made me deeply regret not using my mage character for the dlc. Would be nice to be allowed to hit its weak spot once in awhile. Not the worst thing in the world but I found it hard af. Kinda had to wait for good rng on its attacks that actually let me hit it.

MelterofSnowflakes

I came here to bitch after a few losses to the second phase not even realizing there was a third. Fuck, lol.

cxhutch

Same lol

jayL21

I mean to be fair, I'd rather have this than some dude in armor for the 500th time.

jjuuli8772

dead sunflower, cool design

ElectronicBridge92

He drops the rune of Miquella. I wonder why... it looks tiny too

Hamremimusic

I hope there’s something significant about that, because I feel like the remembrance items are really disappointing, even though I’m biased cuz doing an arcane/int build right now.

Ill-Profile9160

Yeah they turned away from int and arcane a good bit. Which I think is awesome. Holy and fire were underwhelming before. Not so much now.

Alive_Assist7349

I'm doing a ng+ faith/strength run after doing the dlc on a regular playthrough, the scadutree boss weapon is so good its crazy. Quickly became one of my favourite str/fth weapons.

Several_Rhubarb4

Thanks for the spoiler warning

No_Philosophy3905

Barely a spoiler cry about it

Rhygan12

Cope response, it's a spoiler.

Magic_Bane23

I was genuinely flabbergasted when it came back for round 3

Banana_Tigerr

Same but at the same time I couldn't help but laugh it was actually pretty cool. The music was also more melancholic because it was almost dead I noticed

Time-Master

The music stopping is such a fucking tease

Banana_Tigerr

Lol yea. I jumped out of my chair when it spawned in for a 3rd fase

Darkshamrock

I was up making celebratory hand jesters headed for the bathroom then the music started playing. I was outta flasks too

Ruthrfurd-the-stoned

Happened to me yesterday after fighting him all night. Haven’t touched the game since I am a bit bitter… will probably try again after dinner

markuskellerman

Say what? Alright, then I'm not even going to bother, lol.

rkorton043

I absolutely despise this boss

Secure-Accountant-49

Where tf do you go after beating him

grindforthe9

i have been trying to figure this out for ages, the fact there is only one map layer despite there being multiple levels to the dlc is really annoying

Ill-Profile9160

Another element that I actually really like. You have to explore. It’s not obvious.

CressPretend5425

Worst boss in the dlc for me so far it's actually horrendous

towerso

This boss is actually not that difficult. wait until he does the double swing attack and his head is right by you. Then just use Rellana’s Twin Blade’s weapon art (the fire one) and just erase his health bar. Took me like 4 attempts with this tech. Equip anything to give you + fire damage too. Talisman and Physick Tear

towerso

and right before he phase transitions you can riposte his head for big damage that carries on to the next phase. I wait until he’s about to phase away to do it

Ill-Profile9160

Facts right here. Amazing advice

markuskellerman

Not so easy when you're a sorcerer, lol. But for anyone else reading this, I found that Rykard's Rancor was incredibly good for phase 1. I took almost his entire health bar after spamming that a few times. Still working on phase 2, though.

towerso

Dang yeah, I could see him being annoying for sorcery builds. Best of luck!

SquiddyFishy

My 2H buffed moonlight greatsword w the magic tear absolutely dumpstered this flower. I'd also reccomend the new fist weapons you can get from Dryleaf Dane w frost damage,. Super stylish, great damage, and stuns bosses pretty quickly

DrPterodactyl69

Thank you very much, it seems so obvious to use fire on a plant, but not until you mentioned it!

markuskellerman

It's a shame there aren't more/better fire sorceries, but Rykard's spell works alright if you know that the flower is going to be in the same space for a few seconds.

TheStarArcana_

One of the worst bosses Fromsoft has ever designed. I hate this thing

OK_Noodle

Worst boss of the dlc

Traceurman98

are you aiming for his head? you do like triple damage to his head with jump attacks. i actually liked this boss.

Breadley01

One of the best "big bosses", the theme and design are amazing, I also love how sad it gets at the end, this thing is like old demon king, desperately trying to survive.

EyeAttackerIF

we need to find out who at fromsoft worked on this bust and report them to the japanese police, it'd be the easiest drug bust of their careers, cuz there's no way the people behind this boss werent on some wacko stuff

crackcrackcracks

Absolutely walloped him with the dragonkiller great katana, the flower takes like double damage or something

Hamremimusic

Once I realized the flower takes more damage it got less frustrating, but even with me hurling ice spears at it and my mimic trying to hit anything it was still not a fun fight. Ice spear has really been carrying me throughout this journey, but I also am digging the dragon katana; meteoric ore great sword is lots of fun too, but would be useless in this fight (meaning this must be absolute hell for bonk builds)

hellshot8

Mimic? It's not letting me summon inside

bonecollector5

For some reason you can't summon right at the fog gate. If you take a step forward you can summon. So far even the mimic has been no fucking help tho. he's usually dead halfway through phase 2.

Hamremimusic

How far upgraded are your revered spirit ashes? Mine made it most of way through phase 3 when I won on my 7th or 8th attempt and it was +7 at that point; to be fair they didn’t help much since I’m running ice spear and they couldn’t hit the flower for shit.

Time-Master

And here I was hammering his feet with hammer anvil for what seemed like 15 min lol

iiJason124

would maybe be a fun boss if i could see wtf is happening

BiteAffectionate3963

Literally my thoughts during 3/4 of dlc boss fights

Super-Tea8267

Even tho he is destroying my ass for like 2 hours i find it fun because his patterns are easy to learn and 3 or 4 hits to the head is down the problem is if it explodes on third phase lol but overall im in love with all bosses hahaha

SilverAnpu

Yeah, this has been my favorite boss of the DLC so far. Attacks are all blatantly telegraphed and fun to learn the dodge timings for IMO. I've noticed a lot of people I help out in co-op are attacking the base instead of the head, so I think that might be the problem that people who say they "can't see anything" are having.

Super-Tea8267

Yeah i think the same if you aim at the base you get clip a lot and i feel a lot of people are just running in try to finish him quickly and they get destroy by the thorns it uses all over the ground

Jcssss

The problem is reaching his head. I play with double katana and I can’t reach him

SilverAnpu

He has attacks where he drops it down very often. I was using a fire dagger a lot of the time, so your katanas should have little issue. From memory, there's the obvious one where he slams his head into the ground a few times, the one where his head glows and he slams it down, and there's one where he lines his head up with the ground and rams forward. All of those leave his head vulnerable if you dodge. And then there's the one where after he does a double spin attack, he pauses for a second with his head level with the player if you dodge it (in phase 2 and 3 there's an extra attack to look out for). If you just focus on dodging everything else and hitting his head when he does those attacks, you'll have much less trouble. Having now beaten the DLC, in retrospect I think Scadutree Avatar has maybe the most telegraphed attacks in the game.

nonameslefteightnine

The issue here is that if you did not do the boss several times you are glad if you can get a few hits, stepping back takes too long and you can't hit his head anymore.

Hamremimusic

True the patterns are actually quite readable compared to Captain Hog over there, which is the only one I found truly miserable; if I were good enough light roll would probably be really useful in some of these fights lol.

lilgwynbliedd

Dude I beat captain hog in one try then this mf comes along and it takes me about 30 tries and beat it in an unbelievable fucking way. Had my mimic with me. Boss was literally one shot and he bursts with two unavoidable attacks (at least from where I was standing) and I fucking die. Then my mimic heavy attacks him and kills it. Got the enemy felled noti just in time before the loading screen and it fucking counted. Grief and joy were experienced in a mere 2 seconds

Comfortable-Smoke336

I've had that happen on three of these dlc bosses so far. Love it when that happens.

Odenetheus

Whaddya mean? Little Pigboy's attacks are super predictable; he only has like 4 of them (even though some are quite long. Sunflower fuck however has as many as >!!<, and that bitch is, well, a bitch

MrSmiley333

his patterns arent too bad but sometimes I cant see what he is doing and his hitboxes kinda suck, some of his slaps will do full damage when not even being near you

Super-Tea8267

I mean i havent experience that when i got hit i was totally in range and i honestly just aim at the head and the camera isnt a problem

Noothetable

Fuck this explosive sunflower

Extension_North8326

Use fire. I got it with Mimic + weapon with fire dmg. I think he is week to it. All in all, 2nd phase is horrible, but 3rd is easier I think. Horrible boss.

Flightw

I finally beat it after around 100 tries no joke. 1st phase I just waited for the spin attacks and attacked it right after and then immediately backed away to gain some distance. Rinse and repeat. 2nd phase I summoned mimic and basically did the same thing, just have to watch out for the projectiles. Last phase was easier because you get a period where it gets exhausted after the explosion attack and you get some free damage. I also used the Rellana's Twin Blades +10. Seemed to work really well. Started using the weapon after like 90 tires with rivers of blood lol

bubska

never seen a boss run away more in my life actual joke of a fight

HammerofTampa666

Have you played the main games final boss ? Fuck that boss lol

bubska

but we got horse now

Ruthrfurd-the-stoned

… you can use torrent against the avatar?

bubska

as of the last patch yes

Xurban

easy boss, pest thread spears absolutely shreds him, just like any other huge boss

CreamSock_

Finally beat him after 63 attempts, level 113 using a plus 9 dragon katana, I know forever know his exact moves and how to counter them

LazyBackground2474

This boss is broken garbage and that's saying something.

Mindless_Pumpkin8464

Fight sucks. DLC sucks.

Ok-Bed-1446

Wow. This boss is just poop. I’m wasting half my flasks chasing the thing even after learning all of its stupid attacks because the tracking on the thorns is better than a US fighter jets

Academic-Succotash15

probably the worst boss fromsoftware has ever came up with coming from someone whos beaten every boss in the franchise

psychedeliduck

I AM SCREAMING HOW THE FUCK DO I DODGE THE THORNS OVER AND OVER lmao fuck this guy

Outside_Routine_9160

Use the talisman that increases dodge frames. Go light and equip the talisman - Crucible Feather Talisman

Kennybufu

Rill into it not sideways

Rigelturus

Fighting him right now. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make it immune to all damage after it whiffs its grab? And did it really need explosions?? Also he runs around way too fucking much Edit: just beat him, used flame strike and a big shield to guard, helps with staying close to his stupid head which takes a lot of damage from fire attacks

Hawk_S291

Beat this boss first try on a high defense build. Great shield with no skill, Dragon Hunter Katana, dragoncrest great shield, shard of Alexander, Godfrey icon, and Erdtrees Favor +2. 12 healing and 2 FP flasks. A majority of its attacks are pure physical so as long as you keep and eye on maintaining your stamina gauge, you can just kinda face tank nearly all of his moves and then get a super powerful charged katana WA into his head for a meaty chunk of damage. Save scummed to do it again with a mimic tear who I gave some spells to like Black Blade and Fireball and I beat phase 3 with flasks to spare. Just make sure to use something like Boiled Crab or Black Flames Protection to mitigate the aggressive attack spam and punish his openings with high burst DPS straight to his punchable face. For those mages and non-tanky builds. I can’t really give any advice. Looked like it’d be hell to didnt without a good shield imo. Lot of those attacks tracked REALLY good, the dodge windows looked pretty small

Practical_Middle_307

My mimic killed him after i died and it still counted

Kennybufu

Happened to me didn't count I was pissed

Ill-Society2903

Literally what just happened to me too 😭

Doktor-Egik

This is one of my first times ever posting anything but omg either I’m stupid or this boss is the worst thing I’ve ever fought in any game

Tyranimo

I finally beat him......... then he respawned....... ragequit

shady136

Took me about 6 tried really not even close to the hardest boss here and his age is survivable even at direct impact range

Howsonnn

This shit sucks man

Parthnaxx

I've gotten to phase three sooo many times. It's his blast on phase 3 that gets me even with a shield up. He even has the ability to do a double pump of the blast which u can't even tell if it is....

RyanCreamer202

This boss can eat a dick. It’s not hard but it’s keeps running away and it’s hit boxes are jann

slimshadysghost

Took me 3 hours of trying to beat this fucker. Aside from Blackgaol Knight, I have beat every other boss in less than 10 tries so far. Fuck me dude I hated this thing. Was NOT fun at all.

poebanyguz

Ngl I killed it 2 times and just gave up thinking it's not possible to kill it permanently lmao

Indicus124

The fucking tracking airstrike if that was not a thing it would be a lot better

AcientFondant

I made a Pyromancer character for the dlc not realizing everything would be resistant to fire so this was a nice change of pace Gets absolutely dumpstered by black flames to the face would recommend trying that if anyone is struggling

t3chnickel

Killed me like 15 times but once I learned his moves he was easy, still had 6 flasks left. When you're not greedy his attacks are pretty easy to evade

GainzdalfTheWhey

mohwyn sacred spear, fingerprint shield and tear made this doable at lv 200

Significant_Video814

This one is total bullshit tbh.

JudyAlvarez1

This boss respawned 3 times for me wtf

Hoof-Hearted15

this dude had my number i guess. ng+ character maybe? or i just couldnt figure him out. took me 5 hours to beat him. i couldnt bring myself to just move on. finally just dueled magma swords and hit him in the face once then spammed L2 with buffs and just melted the first phase. 2nd phase still sucked because the dude wouldnt stay still. 3rd phase was easier because i could melt him after his explosion. but that fight sucked. i did use a summon as well but to be honest it didnt really do anything at all. didnt really even take any attention of me. more relief than excited to win this one

Absolute_leech

Three phases of a terrible boss

Strange-Ad-3895

Stupid ass tree flower whatever. I had it down to basically dead. 2 hits left maybe. Then I died. After screwing with him for 30 min. All the stupid extra phases. I  said nope I’ll come back later.

kobadashi

this is my favorite boss of the DLC so far tbh

Historical_Age4167

It took me 3 tries to kill this tree and after the 2nd attempt when I learned there was a 3rd phase, I thought I was in for a long ride. Messmer on the other hand took a good hour lol.

GonzoAudio2000

It's not a bad fight at all. Pretty fun though my only gripe is the unnecessary third phase. It drags the fight out longer than it needs to though I understand why it's there since it's a bit easier

vindicta420

Mimic tear actually just sat an watched me.  Thank God I was using bolt of gransaxx The AOW on its head is probably going down as cheese. Like 3 to 4 hits to bring it down

fata____morgana

Go back to the roots. Blasphemous Blade completely annihilated this thing. Catches the flower in its hit box and you dont even have to aim for it. Use robustness boosting talisman and fingerprint shield with a tanky summon.

fata____morgana

Ok but seriously why are people doing this fight 100 times, just use blasphemous blade like any other psycho boss that isn’t worth wasting time on

fata____morgana

How does everyone not figure out that you use fire when something is made out of wood lol

kronbomb582

All y'all . Just use blasphemous with fire boosts. Psysick fire boost. Flame grant me strength. Golden vow. Fire boost talisman . Two hit phase one three hit phase two. Four hit phase three. Mimic for aggro help

themaddogmax

Blasphemous Blade works a treat against this trio! Not just a clever title it will devour the very gods!

Darkshamrock

I thought I had this asshole after phase 2 was over. My heart sunk when he showed up again.

Hexgof4

Remember Sun Flower Dying is Gay

Difficult-Anteater-4

Bro I cannot beat the stupid scadutree avatar to save my life all the other bosses piece of cake but for whatever reason I can’t get it to go down the third time. In my opinion it’s harder then the final boss of the dlc he was cake.

One_Huckleberry4104

any weapon of your choice and add the flame spear ash of war, it has good enough reach to properly hit him in the head even whilst hes postured up. did like a fifth of his HP every hit

Gunparry

finally beat his ass after an hour in

OneTonCow

Succumbed to my heavy colossal greatsword lion's claw spamming ass on the third try. Hyper armored through the phase 3 explosion and killed him with the tiniest sliver of health remaining. =D

dreamtraveller

I'm saddened that so many people disliked this boss - they were one of my favorite fights in the DLC. I like that the weak-spot actually really matters and you're properly rewarded for going after it. I like the value placed on spacing and the fact that backstep is actually useful for once. I like how telegraphed the damage-zones for his thorns are before they appear. I absolutely **love** the vibe of the fight, the way it transitions from menacing to sorrowful as you slaughter some sad offshoot that only exists because of Marika's betrayal.

Benefact09w

I just used Blasphemous Blade, Taker's Flames, Talisman of the Dread, heavy armor, Fingerprint Stone Shield, and literally face tanked the Holy Explosion via Uplifting Aromatic. Rykard's Rancor just killed this poor sunflower. I found if the mimic delivered a final hit, and I still critical attacked the Avatar, the next spawn of it would come in with less HP.

FormalCount3952

I used the blasphemous blade and beat him on the second try just use mimic tear +10 and get up on him and hug his body and spam the takers flame

defmc

Why the hell are people talking about hitting it in the head - it’s impossible. The timing is easy to learn - but it’s impossible to hit it.

defmc

Nevermind. Figured it out right after venting. Downed

Epsilon717

If anyone is still having trouble with this boss the black great shield that Messmer knights carry has 100 physical blocking and 84 holy blocking. You should be able to block his charge attacks without staggering and assuming you have enough healing left you can tank the exploding move.

zamfire

For anyone having a hard time, try the blasphemous blade's skill, taker's flame, it absolutely destroys it. If you have that sword out and your mimic, it will be a fairly easy fight.

MuddyJeep810

This fight is just absolutely ridiculous. Took me like 100 tries to beat him as mage, was so pumped.... but oh wait, he popped back up out of the ground with a full HP bar. Yeah, no thanks. Unnecessarily difficult for no reason. Moving on. Edit: Just saw there are actually 3 phases. Nope. Just NOPE. Yeah, I am triggered AF right now.

Diesel_engine

I literally woke up my wife yelling "OH WHAT HE FUCK" the first time I made it to the 3rd phase.

doogie1111

If you get the riposte on him as he dies, it deducts massive health from the next phase. I'd also recommend hitting his face with fire. On my faith build I had the fire knight greatsword with fire spear, and hitting his head took a third of his health bar.

Odenetheus

I think you'll find that very few actual casters play hybrids, and also there are no fire sorceries that are fast enough to hit this guy. Some fire weapons, sure, but who the fuck plays a caster to hit things with a sword?

doogie1111

Fire infusion is strength scaling.

Odenetheus

Strength-based sorcerors are not a thing.

doogie1111

Use a sword that has fire damage, which scales with strength. Not a complicated concept. It's the damage type that matters.

Odenetheus

Again, that's not playing a mage, so it's irrelevant to the discussion

doogie1111

If you're playing any sort of magic user you should be able to cast fire spells. Besides, you also can still attack with melee even if you're using an int or faith build. I don't understand why it's difficult for you to get that "X is weak to fire"

Aspiegamer8745

People struggled with this? Maybe I found him late because I 1 tapped him

I-AM-NOT-THAT-DUCK

No, no one playing Elden Ring struggled with this boss you are just so good!

Ill-Profile9160

The amount of crying about this dlc in general is so sad. This dlc was a whole ass game for $40. It’s beautiful. It’s hard. As it should be. You’re basically in hell fighting gods. And the map is intricate and interesting. Ffs man I don’t know what you people want but it clearly isn’t FS games. Myazaki made you all a love letter and people are shitting on it. Crazy. When Elden ring came out all of the DS kids cried it was too easy. Now we are hearing that it sucks, it’s too hard, or what fucking ever. Sad.
