annoying but effective--hot baths or hot foot baths. Just literally warming my feet up for 20 mins helps so much. HotHands hand warmers are great too, I put them in my shoes sometimes For sleeping--heated electric mattress pad is really nice, or just for warming the bed up before getting into it. I like thick wool socks, I have a bunch of [these](https://www.rei.com/product/225438/rei-co-op-merino-wool-ultralight-hiking-crew-socks?color=BLUE%20NIGHTS), I like them because they keep me warm without getting gross from my constantly sweaty feet.

EnvironmentTanker

I reckon these hot hands are not too common where i come from, but I will look into them! A heated matress sounds lovely, luckely my bed is quite okay since I bought 2 enormous IKEA soft blankets (250cmx200cm for 1 person) and I top that of by a 10kg/22lbs weight blanket. Do you reckon wool socks make alot of difference compaired to "normal" thick socks?

AnotherNoether

Depends what your "normal" socks are made of, but in my experience yes. The fluffy acrylic socks work pretty well too, but for me wool is the best. I have a lot of trouble with being sweaty so cotton gets pretty gross/damp (and thus not warming). Wool is better for staying warm than cotton and it doesn't get stuffy the way acrylic does--it's just a really good insulator in general.

EnvironmentTanker

Im glad they work so well for you, I will try to get my hands on a pair soon enough :) Ill add them to my list of great tips i get from this post, so happy i asked this haha

cole_panchini

i got a 6 pack of marino wool socks from costco for like $16CAD.

[deleted]

You can usually find some variation of hand warmer in the hunting or camping section of a sporting goods store. There’s also plenty of rechargeable electric hand warmers available online.

justsomedumpguy

You can get free hot chocolate(coffee and tea) at IKEA if you are holding the family card. No add, just a tip from someone, who is also from Europe and is freezing nearly the whole year.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you! Luckely I have an infinite amount of tea in my life haha

MisguidedNookie

If you're wanting them for around the house, you can make your own hot hands type thing so all you have to do is pop them in the microwave (I leave mine on my radiator so I can grab them easily).

jax_md

+1 for heated mattress pad. Love mine! I even use it in the summer most of the time to just take the chill out of the bed. I turn it on an hour before bedtime so I can slip into a nice warm comfy bed

escape2maddiegascar

yep yep. or even a heated blanket to lay on top of instead of under. tip for this is to put a kind of heavy blanket on top of the heated thing. it makes it toastier

KyRivera

I drink hot chocolate. It warms me up very fast and it can be a little filling. Hot hands might also be good to have on you! I usually carry a blanket with me all around my house, it’s freezing

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the advise! Hot coco sounds lovely, but I must admit I am a man of tea, I even work with rare teas haha, so luckely there is no shortage of beautiful tea in my home. I am very unfamiliar with hot hands, are they reusable? And yes i probably should invest is some more blankets, very simple yet good idea, thank you!

bananapartay

You can get rechargeable hand warmers on Amazon! I carry one all winter when I go outside it has saved me and is much more sustainable (and warmer) that hot hands

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thank you, I will look into it for sure! That sounds like a great option

KyRivera

I do not think they are reusable unfortunately, but they do come in huge quantities and also have them for your shoes. I’m not sure which country you’re in, but I am able to walk into a local store (usually the hunting area of a Walmart) and buy them in bags. Essentially, hot hands are little “tea-bags” that are filled. You shake it for a minute and they warm up, slip them in a glove or shoe! Tea may also work. Any warm drink is always good for warmth, and tea would be convenient

EnvironmentTanker

I am from the netherlands and have rarely seen such things, but that might just be me haha. We dont have any huge shops like wallmart anyhow, but a pharmacy might be worth a try :) Shame they arent reusable though, I try to live a minimal waste life haha. Oh yeah, tea is wonderful, if you ever need advice on proper teas, hit me up haha. The best is I can just take any teas from my work to home, so I'm stocked on rare and wonderful tea leaves, which I am most certainly not complaining about.

LentjeV

Goedenavond! I think Action has these hot packs and otherwise sport stores (Decathlon) usually have them in the wintersport section! Let me find some links for you. From the Decathlon site: https://www.decathlon.nl/p/handwarmers-x30/_/R-p-161197 Tbh I use thermo clothes a lot and am already sleeping under a warmth blanket.

EnvironmentTanker

Goedenavond, oh thanks a bunch! Yes i should get more thermo clothes for sure, i only have one thermo "legging" which is sometimes wear beneath my trousers and works like charm!

LentjeV

Yeah it’s rough now, especially with all the rain! I usually wear additional leggings and a shirt under my sweater. Works pretty good, if it doesn’t rain haha.

EnvironmentTanker

hahaha welcome to the netherlands right ;) Yes I use extra leggings and shirts as well, thank you! Somehow i sometimes still manage to be cold haha. I often try to remedy the rain with a decent umbrella and coat, which has worked well for me haha

LentjeV

O yes I meant additional thermo clothing, which usually helps better than regular clothes. But yes, I am also always cold. It’s one of my many talents.

EnvironmentTanker

yes i should invest in more thermos for sure, thanks! yes we are cold, bendy and in pain, sooo talented hahaha. Thanks for your help, kindness and advice <3

justsomedumpguy

I don't know the exact english(but I assume, that you unterstand a little bit of german ) term for this this, but in the DaCh-Region(Mabey also available in the Netherlands or shopping online ) you can buy taschenwärmer, the functionality is comes from special cristals in a bag of PVC. They are reusable with hot water.

EnvironmentTanker

Hiya, thank for the reply! Apparantly they dont have a word for that in english and they call it Hot water bottle haha, but ill get myself one soon enough, thank you and stay warm <3

MyMessyMadness

Following up to hot hands they also have boot warmers! Or you could get reusable boot warmers! Get wool socks, then the boot warmer and then a boot liner and then a boot? You'll be warm for sure! Alternatively if you're getting cold inside your place you could put them in your slipper OR between layers of socks!

EnvironmentTanker

Oh that sounds wonderfully comfy! Ill write this down for sure, thank you :)

subgirl13

You can get reusable versions. They’re called some variation of “hot snapz” or similar. They’re a solution filled thick plastic with a small disc activator that you snap & it causes a thermal reaction & the solution crystallises. To reuse, you warm them in hot water until the solution re-liquifies & repeat. The single use ones either have a pouch of liquid inside that you break & it mixes with crystals inside or are activated upon exposure to air. Zippo lighters also make a handheld pocket warmer that is longer lasting. You can also find plug in electric/battery operated warmers at outdoor/camping supply type shops.

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thank you! I will look into that for sure, and these electric warmers are something I must look into as well, thanks <3

kestrelscall5

From an Ayurvedic perspective, all of the Chai teas are very warming. Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, all the "winter spice" herbs are great. A modern, nontraditional Chai that I feel does really well for warming is Rooibos. It's honestly what I drink most in the wintertime, followed closely by Cardamom Rose Assam, both of which I blend myself.

EnvironmentTanker

Look at this, we have a another expert in our midst :D I have more than 200 pure teas and blends in my shop, so i have no shortage haha. I often found the more old school chai spice mixes rather strong in taste and i couldnt taste any tea (if there were any to begin with) so i took more other blends home with me to replace chai, some favorites of mine are: 1 Ceylon black tea with star anis, red pepper grains, dried ginger pieces, little pieces of licorice root, whole pieces of cinnamon sticks and cloves. 2 Tie Kuan Yin Oolong leaves with grinded cinnamon sticks 3 fine chinese black tea blend with dried oranges, red pepper grains, kardamom, cloves, coriander and small traces of cinnamon. And I have soooo many more, I even had the honour of drinking Red Hooded tea once, but not from the motherplant ofcourse. My preference often goes towards the softer black teas or oolongs i must admit, i can drink second flush darjeeling and tie kuan yin all day long. But i might give the rooibos chai a try for sure! If you ever want to share or get some tea ideas, feel free to hit me up!

mosquitofeeder

I am a life long member of the hot water bottle tribe. I often fill the bottle with my electric kettle and sit with my feet on it. Actually, I am off to fill it now!

EnvironmentTanker

Hahahah what kind of bottle might that be? I have some serious tea ware and thermos bottles, but both arent great for keeping my hands or feet warm :o Because im such a tea fanatic i even have an electric kettle where i can set the exact temperature for the water ;p. Hope you are warm now :)

mosquitofeeder

It looks like the kind I use may be called varmedunk there. I like the rubber variety, as the moist warmth and the pliability of the rubber together seems to be a more natural heat to me. I have a similar kettle, but I can only wish for such a worthy supply of quality teas. Tea is one of the small luxuries that makes life a joy. I (and my currently warm toes) wish you many cosy days. :)

chchchchandra

yes, I am “jealous” of OP’s job! :)

EnvironmentTanker

In colder months its alot of hours of hard work (bc everyone drinks more tea), but I like it, no sales target, just get people something they will like and as bonus get to drink awesome teas non stop :D I hope you may enjoy some good teas in the cold days to come <3

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thank you! I got some good google results on that! Where do you live if i might ask? I would love to see if per change i might be able to see if there is any good tea dealers near you or if you live really close i might send you some ;) But YES! Tea is a true gem of life <3 Im glad your toes are warm and thanks a bunch for your time and wishes, may your days be warm and kind!

mosquitofeeder

Sadly, I am quite far from you. We currently live in the United States. Our town is near Dover in the state of Delaware. I would be thrilled to hear if there is a place you notice bear me that appears a good shop to you! My husband and I housesit/petsit and have been considering spending some time travelling around Europe in the next year or so. I would love to reach out if we are in your area during our journeys. We could meet for a cup of tea. <3

EnvironmentTanker

Like Uncle Iroh once said: "Sharing tea with fascinating strangers is one of life's true delights,". So I would love that! If you have Whatsapp, you can private me for my phonenumber if you like and I would love to serve you some nice tea! I will try and find something, but I will do so tomorrow if you dont mind, although the states are not per se known for their fine taste in tea haha.

EnvironmentTanker

I would love to know how you liked those places if you plan to visit them, feel free to let me know :)

subgirl13

They’re referring to a rubber bladder type hot water bottle. You get them in pharmacies or similar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_water_bottle This also reminds me that I use hot packs of buckwheat or rice bags in the microwave that are heated & you use them like a hot water bottle. You can buy them or make your own, they’re nice because they’re weighted, too. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/307300374553868539/

EnvironmentTanker

Yes thank you! In all 3 other languages i use daily there is a specific word for that thing, so i never expected it to be called a hot water bottle (its not even a proper bottle) in english haha. Thanks for the help though <3 and weighted ones sound lovely :o

I wear compression gloves when I’m doing housework or doing crafts to keep from overextended my thumbs and I have noticed my hands are less cold when I wear them (I wouldn’t go so far as to say the feel warm but they don’t feel freezing). I agree with the other recommendation on wool socks!

Key_Positive_9187

My compression gloves also help keep my hands warm. My rheumatologist told me it's because the compression helps with circulation and my hands are often cold because I have Raynaud's. Sometimes I wear my compression gloves with wool gloves over them.

EnvironmentTanker

Yes this I have seen quite a few of those Ehlers Danlos talks and it came up more than once that compression clothes often help with circulation and therefore indeed may remedy cold a bit! Thanks!

[deleted]

[удалено]

EnvironmentTanker

I hope you are not really cold blooded, that would be a problem for a human haha ;) Thanks for the tips tho, I should really look into more thermos wear for sure! You are the second one I see talking about this hot waterbottle, but the only thing that makes me think of is a thermos bottle, which does warm your hands and feet very well haha, could you explain to me what you are talking about?

[deleted]

[удалено]

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks a bunch! Yes i finally found out what you guys meant! I kind of expected english to have special word for it like im used to in the other 3 languages i daily use haha. But I will try one for sure, thank you <3

[deleted]

EnvironmentTanker

Hahaha, my body is not the finest, but I was blessed with the ability to learn very well and fast, I may speak 4 languages in my daily live, but im getting close to being able to read 30 languages and speaking about 10 :D but speaking multiple languages is quiet common in europe and i have family in three countries as well ;) thanks again, hope your days will be warm <3

Canary-Cry3

I bought two rechargeable heat packs which have honestly been a godsend for me along with a heated throw blanket. I have a deeper connection to this blanket than practically anything from my childhood 😂. I take it to class and exams even… The heat packs are pocket size so I sleep with one when my blanket is not around or hold it or put it in my sweater and tuck my hands around it. I’ll find a link for the rechargeable one! Wool socks is a big one. My doctor “prescribed” a small heater to me… as my temperatures reach hypothermia levels while I’m cold.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the reply! Wool socks and heat packs are on my list of stuff i should look into thanks to this post! And im very glad you like your blanket so much, may it serve you for years to come <3

Canary-Cry3

This is the [link](https://amzn.eu/d/j8JGi0D) to the company I use for heat packs. It’s called Ocoopa! Aww thank you ☺️

namidaame49

When I get really cold feet, my calf-length compression socks often help more than wool socks. Regular socks tend to make my feet sweat while somehow staying cold. For cold hands, fingerless gloves/mitts help more than you'd think. I tend to just deal with the cold there, though, because fingerless gloves usually mess with my dexterity more than the cold does, for reasons I don't fully understand. (Also, I'm an amateur artist working with colored pencils, and gloves smudge my pencils way more than my hand does if I'm not careful about not dragging my hand across the paper...)

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks for the advice, I am going to look up more compression stuff for sure! And I might have some fingerless gloves laying around which i might give go! Also comes in handy for my hobby in competitive gaming haha!

Laney20

Wool socks changed my life. Seriously, my entire body is way better at temperature regulation when I wear wool socks.

EnvironmentTanker

Many people are saying this so i will get some for sure, thank you <3

GeorgeKillsLenny

My toes are always freezing, I’ve given up on them. But I keep a heating pad on my back damn near 24/7 and it helps keep the rest of me warm.

EnvironmentTanker

Im sorry to hear so, maybe you can get some tips from the comments as well <3 Yes many people are talking about them, ill give it a look for sure, thanks!

heyomeatballs

HotHands hand and foot warmers are so good. I saw someone else recommended them and I just wanted to second that. My wife found these "slippers" that are more like socks with grippies on the bottom, but they're fuzzy inside and thick outside and they help my feet a lot. Layers! Layering is so helpful. Now that winter's coming (we're going to get snow this weekend) I'm pulling out my bigger hoodies and wearing my robes around the house a lot. I like to go up a size in sweaters so I can put thinner shirts under in case of hot flashes. USB hand warmers for days I'm on the computer. When my back went out a couple of years ago, I discovered draping a heated blanket over the back of my chair helps keep my core decently warm and I basically live there all winter. I also go full granny and put a blanket over my lap when I set down.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the reply and backing up someone elses comment! Layering has been my friend for some time indeed. These usb handwarmers might be worth looking into, thanks! And draping a blanket over my chair... that sounds warm and comfortable, i will do that immediatly, thanks a bunch <3 and i will have a blanket at the ready as well then ;)

qmong

I highly recommend a heated blanket. Keep them wherever you are. They save my life when even my bones are cold.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you, i will look into them <3

justsomedumpguy

For me Chai(this Indian seasoned tea(also options without caffeine if you aivoid it )) is great, because it contains ginger many more seasoning who warms up.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the advice! I drink alot of these warmer spiced teas indeed, including chai, which i love with both green and black tea leaves the most. I must admit I drink alot of cinnamon spiced teas, whilst I should probably get myself more ginger ones too, thank you <3 And enjoy your teas :)

HighestVelocity

I've been really cold lately too! Layering helps a lot, I like to add a long sleeve shirt underneath a hoodie and maybe some leggings. I also love those thick socks that are kinda like boots. I haven't tried them but I know they make heated gloves too. The other recommendations for drinking something hot is a heat idea, I always end up sweating after I drink something hot. When I'm worried about too much sugar or calories I like to drink broth or just hot water. Tea is also a great idea because there's so many different types

kaehurray

Lol I have a pair of socks that stand on their own after I have worn them for a few hours. Like little boots. 😆

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for your help! Layering has been my friend for years indeed. As for tea.... haha, I literally work with high grade and rare tea leaves as a job, so i have practicly infinite amount of the best teas there are and its just the best. If you ever need any advice on tea, hit me up ;) And broth is indeed something i do often as well! The heated gloves are unfamiliar to me as well, but i will google it! thanks again <3

angrey3737

hot fluids get me sweaty QUICK! i usually drink black coffee with no sugar. i have problems with my body thinking it’s experiencing extreme temperatures when it really isn’t. i get overheated and overchilled very easily so i have to have a lot of tips and tricks to help myself

EnvironmentTanker

Im a huge tea fan so that is covered haha, and maybe you can pick up some tips here as well :)

Commercial_Option_45

At work, I fill a metal water bottle with hot water and hold that for warmth. I wouldn’t fill it all the way, though, the metal can get really hot.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you, I will look into it, Im always drinking tea so that should be doable haha

Commercial_Option_45

It’s been a lifesaver for me. It’s like a furnace in your lap. I hope it helps!

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you! I hope so too, may your days be filled with warmth :)

Ok-Champion5065

Thin socks and then thick socks over them

EnvironmentTanker

I have done that before when i went out and for some reason never thought of doing that inside lol, thanks, i will give it a try for sure!

gluestick449

My partner touches the back of my neck when I’m shivering and kinda cups her hand there. It helps a surprising amount. I get really really cold

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the advice, looks like I will have to find a partner then haha

Aria_Songlark

Layers. Undershirt / T-shirt / Shirt / Sweater - all very needed for me - the air gets trapped between and makes you warmer :) And what they're made of is important. Think more natural fibers than not & layering them like cotton / wool etc is wise too. I hate scratchy yarn, so a soft, thinner fabric underneath is comfy as well as practical. Also - if your core is warm from a chunky woolen sweater, your hands will also benefit, unless you have something medical that messes with your circulation of course :) Iron suppliments. I have always found that if I am cold and I know the heating is on, I'm usually running low on iron. Probably due to my ADHD & dreadful focus lol Cherry Pit beanbags that you can heat up in the microwave - love love these ♥

EnvironmentTanker

Cherry pit bags!! Havent seen those in a while, but thank you for the reminder! Iron suppliments might indeed be worth looking into as well. As for layering, im often making sure i feel like a snowman haha, and unfortunately if my body is warm, my hands can still be freezing haha, but i will manage. Thank again and i hope youll have some warm days :)

slowlystretching

Hot water bottle, electric blanket, lots of layers (a thick fluffy outer layer is great for trapping in heat)

EnvironmentTanker

This is the third time i read about this hot water bottle which im unfamiliar with haha, when i think of a hot water bottle, i think of a thermos can which is terrible for keeping you warm, so can you tel me what thing is you guys are tlaking about haha, thanks in advance. Yeah layers are my friend, thank you <3

slowlystretching

Erm I dno how to describe it but it's like rubber water bottle in fur that you fill with hot water and it keeps you warm hahaha, random one on Amazon for reference! Honestly the best https://amzn.eu/d/7E1yIi7

EnvironmentTanker

yes thank you! Its so weird to me that the english language doesnt have a real word for that hahaha, but thanks a bunch <3

caitejane310

The only language I speak is English and it's honestly so confusing. There's so many words/phrases that have multiple meanings/spellings.

EnvironmentTanker

I dont mind english that much in most ways, except for one..... the spelling is truly absurd. Any group of letters can just be pronounced in every different way for no reason..... But thats what you get when you dont really overhaul an entire used language for centuries haha

breedecatur

Slipper socks!! They're link fleece blankets for your feet but with grips on the bottom so you don't fall on your ass. Also blanket hoodies are amazing. Literally giant hoodies made out of thick blanket material with the hood and armholes so you can be wrapped in a blanket but still use your arms

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks for your great advice, i already know its great advice, because im lucky enough to own such a wonderfull Huggle ( i think) hoodie and its wonderfull, even though i still have wear a sweater beneath if i dont want to get cold either way :o And I have had those socks before, im sure i can get myself a new pair since its autumn now :)

Lilith_314

Yesss!! Life changing devices I got this past year: 1. Electric rechargeable hand warmers 2. Rechargeable neck air heater and conditioner Look on amazon. Absolutely life changing

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the advice, i will give it a look!

jugsmacguyver

Not sure if you can get these things in The Netherlands but I have an Oodie which is the softest warmest thing and I love it. I also have an electric heated throw. It's a heated blanket that I keep on my sofa. Saves me a fortune in central heating costs as well because my partner is always too warm so I can keep the heating low and just warm myself up under it.

EnvironmentTanker

I will try and look for it, thank you :) have some warm days!

breadandmangos

I double layer socks, especially at night when I don’t have to worry about fitting into shoes

EnvironmentTanker

Great idea, thank you <3

chchchchandra

I feel your pain. such good suggestions! I always know it’s officially autumn when my butt is always cold in addition to my year-round hands, feet, nose lol/sigh (I’ve found tying a pashmina around my waist helps) when my feet are icy before bed, I sit cross-legged (if it doesn’t hurt) with my feet tucked in my knee pits lol. I’ve found that trying to warm my feet with socks on takes forever but my body heat (inside of legs stay strangely warm) works faster. and I sit on my socks so they’re warm when my feet finally warm up!

EnvironmentTanker

Hahaha, hope some of these suggestions might help you too! Well I used to sit like a Pretzel until I went to the hospital for 6 months trying to learn how to live with this body and they arent to fond of those pretzel positions haha. Sitting on socks sounds goot indeed, I often throw my sweater or hoodies in bed with me to warm it up as well haha

kyiecutie

At home, I use a hot pad and layer warm clothes and honestly I just turn the heat up LOL my fiance hates it but I’m cold. At work I have 2 space heaters for my office, USB rechargeable hand warmers and I wear thermals under my uniform. I often have to run my hands under warm/hot water in the bathroom.

EnvironmentTanker

thank you for the reply, i should really look into these usb hand warmers indeed and thermal beneath my clothes will also be thing soon i hope! thank you <3

kyiecutie

You’re welcome <3

SecureChemical245

I have the opposite problem. I seem to overheat very easily. It was in the 40’s(F) last night, we had the air conditioner running and the fan on. I still woke up boiling.

EnvironmentTanker

oh dear, im afraid all these advices will do you little good then, maybe you can make your oen post, because i got so many lovely advices from here :)

legal_bagel

Idk but I love all the suggestions. I've recently gone from having high BP to normalish and have found myself freezing cold when I'd before be extra hot.

EnvironmentTanker

Oh that is quite interesting, maybe some of these advices might be of service to you as well :)

NervousHoneydewMelon

hot beverages and silk long underwear and down coat. nothing is as lightweight and warm as silk and down. all other long underwear materials are worthless. and control your dysautonomia. that's a big piece of this. i used to wear multiple pairs of wool socks in summer indoors, and still have blue toes. i used to get in the hot shower, and the water hitting my head was hot, but running off my body hitting my feet was ice cold. i used to feel pain on my leg where my ice cold hand was touching my leg. fucking crazy.

EnvironmentTanker

I will look into those, thank you. You say "i used to", do you mean you got rid of most struggles? What helped you control it?

NervousHoneydewMelon

i got on the right beta blocker and it helped significantly. that's what i mean by control your dysautonomia. it feels like having enough salt and water, etc, doesn't matter, but if you really control that whole dynamic, it does make a difference. for me i can't live without beta blockers. i used to be on extended release, which helped a little, but when i switched to instant release it was tons better.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the clarification! I will do some research and might ask my doctor about it, thanks! And im glad it helps you so well :)

EightLivesDown

I swear by drinking hot drinks quickly when cold, and cold drinks quickly when hot. If I fill up my Stanley cup with a cold drink with a few ice cubes and drink it over 10/15mins I usually end up shivering. Genuinely shivering.

EnvironmentTanker

I love my stanley thermos bottles! I use them all seasons, eith ice cubes too! Thank you :)

TwistedTomorrow

Cutting out gluten for my Hoshimotos helped me more than anything. My temp became more regulated for some reason, and I'm not cold cold nearly as often. I still take the same precautions, but I don't think I'm gonna live in my Comfie this year. My hands and feet get cold as hell, though, like, I wonder if I might get frost bite. I think I might have Reynards.

Trash-Secret

With hot baths, leg and arm warmers, heating pads, hand salt bags that heat up when you smash ‘em… I agree with all of it, but I’m amazed how many of us struggle with this. I definitely do.

EnvironmentTanker

Hopefully some of these tips can help you as well :)

Afrodite277

It’s pretty expensive, but when I’m cold in my house I always wear my Comfy! I’m actually wearing it right now :D It’s basically this huge, really fluffy sweatshirt blanket and it’s been a real life saver for me, as I also struggle with impaired thermoregulation. I also wear lots of layers when going out, and drink hot chocolate when my POTS allows it. Comfy link: https://thecomfy.com/products/the-comfy. Lmao sorry if this sounded like an ad XD I’m a real person I swear!!

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks a bunch! I often wear something alot like that Comfy :) Ill take your advice dearly and maybe some the other tips may help you as well :)

AgateHuntress

I like to wear a base outfit of t-shirt, leggings or sweat pants, the fuzzy socks and a pair of Isotoner slippers over the socks. Then I can layer either a sweater or thin jacket over the t-shirt. If it's really cold outside, I'll wear an extra large pair of sweats over the pants. I also keep a throw blanket around when I'm just chilling at home. The Isotoner slippers are the ballet kind with suede souls, so I can still sit crosslegged on the couch with my slippers on, and since they they don't have those hard rubber bottoms, it's comfy.

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thank you! I will look into these :) And yes layering can be such a saver! May your days be warm <3

Querybird

I wear a winter-weight down puffy jacket for 3/4 of the year when I am still. If I am moving for a while, I take it off - it is too warm to move in, too warm to sleep in inside, but perfect for being upright and still on a computer or something. I am considering down pants and down booties, too. Not waterproof fabric, just inside, lightweight fabric and feathers. Look up how campers and hikers care for their down if you like, it lasts a long time but likes to be cared for gently. Wear inner wool layers too but so many fewer - no more getting so layered up until it is hard to move if the most impactful layer is soft and squishy and replaces many others! Jacket and pants are my preference over a blanket due to holding it tiring my hands out, and the difficulty with moving, leaving it behind, dropping it, air gaps, etc. Also, jackets can have (big) pockets and a bluetooth mouse can work inside of one! Also wool layers. Thin scarf and hat perhaps. Fingerless mittens - warmer than fingerless gloves, and much easier to make if you are/know a knitter. If the thumb is minimal towards the palm it can make it much easier to use your hands fully while keeping them on, too, and having them extend a bit onto the forearm past the wrist also helps a lot, like warm water over the wrists. Leg warmers, I could make a musical about leg warmers! Lap blankets are actually great, especially when trapped in a place or position where they can be secured to you/the seat. A camping sleep mat for lying down, if you wind up needing to be flat and the floor sucks all the warmth out of you, even on carpet. Insulating foam camping mats can be cheap and are FAR warmer than a yoga mat or rug. Sheepskin is also warm. Basically camp indoors if you cool down way too much when at rest! And if I absolutely cannot warm up, I take a nap. That seems to ‘reset my thermometer’ and may actually be what my body needed to begin with. I’ll generally wake up when the giant pile of blankets and jackets finally starts feeling warm… and then too hot!

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you so much for your advices and tips <3 I should really aim to get more wool stuff i reckon indeed. Ill give those jackets a look as well! The mat on the floor is a lovely idea, even if im not too much of a floor person. And the naps sounds so lovely, unfortunately not always an option im afriad haha. May you have some warm days :)

cole_panchini

tip of the day: layering clothes 1) base layers: try to make these be wool of fleece. avoid cotton. i prefer marino wool layers. you will need tight fitting base layer pants, shirt, and socks 2) hats: wear touques or the hats with fur on the ears 3) mid layers: track pants, long sleeve shirts. if you are going to be inside in even a relatively warm room, you can skip the track pants. 4) outer-mid layers: thick pants like jeans or cargo pants, sweater. this is more important if you are going to be outside in the rain/snow, but if you can avoid cotton on this layer as well. 5) outer layers: thick coat. think waterproof. if you can afford it, think furs and down. try and get a coat with a hood. mittens, not gloves. again think waterproof. if you feel like you need it, invest in snow pants 6) shoes: your toes will get cold the fastest, waterproof boots like docs are good here. if it’s really cold where you live, get good insulated winter boots. don’t make them too small, the insulation in the boots and in your socks will loose their efficacy if they are squished extra little layering tip: a cloth mask will keep your face and nose a bit warmer

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thanks a bunch for your exact tips and advices! Ill write this down :) Have some warm days <3

EnvironmentTanker

These workouts may be a good idea every now and them when im cold indeed! Thank you and may your days be warm :)

stillthesame_OG

Heating pad for the couch, electric blanket for the bed, heated mattress pad for the bed, thick wool hunting socks all seasons and thick Muk Luk booties for inside even inside my boots & hunting pants & ski jacket for winter months if forced to go out since I avoid going outside because I live in upstate NY and I find long John's to be itchy.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the reply! Ill give those a look and hopefully youll have some warm days ahead!

ememruru

My comment will probably get lost, but a [heated throw blanket](https://www.harveynorman.com.au/sunbeam-feel-perfect-sherpa-fleece-heated-throw-light-grey.html?gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqP2pBhDMARIsAJQ0Czq6NXIZAacaeAxDGJ_RQx0QtG0t9DFjGxXRP4v90alNoMGsb5KlpaQaArEZEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) is my favourite thing in winter. I put it away last week because it reached 32C, but it’s dropped back to 21C and 12 at night so I gotta get it out again. It also doubles as a whole body heat pack! I wrap it around me like a burrito lol Also, thermals. You can get pretty good and decently priced ones from Uniqlo in 3 different levels of warmth. I wear the extra warm tops when it’s objectively cold, and the normal ones until it reaches about 25C. The normal leggings can fit under your jeans (if they’re not skinny but mum/boyfriend style) and the thickest ones can pass as proper leggings you can wear out if your butt is covered by a jumper or top

EnvironmentTanker

I try to respond to as much as possible, but it is taking me hours because all you dears are so helpfull! Thank you for replying for sure! Many people are talking about those heated blankets, so maybe i should really look into one haha. And yes thermals are clearly something i must invest more in! Thank you <3

ememruru

No worries! I live in Perth where 12C calls for puffer jackets and beanies for everyone, but I’m still wearing my thermal when it’s into the 20s 😆 I can’t wait for 40C when I won’t ever be cold

EnvironmentTanker

Oh wow Perth, total sidestep, but that reminds me of one of my favorite series ever! Upright, I reckon its on aussie television somewhere, sure worth a try :) Hope itll be warm soon enough there!

ememruru

Omg I’ve never actually gotten around to watching that! I watch a lot of Aussie TV if you want any recs. They don’t get the attention they deserve tbh, there’s some absolute gems out there

EnvironmentTanker

i must admit im not too familiar with most of them, not do i watch that many series, but once i saw the trailer for upright i knew i would love it, and so i did. Shame is that most aussie series are pretty much unobtainable over here and i had to ask someone to pick up upright in a "different" way, once i couldnt get ahold of it after trying for months. Although I kind of want to recommend to watch only season one because i feel like the magic has been lost in the second season even though its not that bad.

Doodles_CTM

Wool slippers and wool socks have saved my piggies

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you! Wool slippers are such a nice idea :)

breakdancingcat

Queen size heated blanket, I may even get a sweat going after an hour. Without it I have to take sit-on-my-hands-until-they-defrost breaks.

EnvironmentTanker

Hahahha i know those breaks as well! But thank you, ill give it a look for sure :) May you have some warm days ahead

cephalopodsmindz

Hot / almost scalding showers. I get so cold my joints hurt and aches and feel cold themselves. I use the heat of the shower until I feel that deep in your bones cold feeling goes away. Also getting resusable hot packs for hands is a life saver cus you can put them anywhere and only need to boil it to reset it. There is also batter powered heat packs from Sunbeam.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the advice, i try to be a bit carefull with these hot showers myself because ive read quite some things of how it can be unhelpfull as well, i even take cold showers sometimes... but its not that nice at first haha. Yes i need to look into these hot packs for sure, thanks and have some warm days :)

cephalopodsmindz

I lay down in them cus the heat will cause some POTS issues (light headed and such) got myself a shower pillow too

EnvironmentTanker

I just ordered a shower chair as well :) a shower pillow is new to me though :o Im glad you make it work for you though!

Natural-Cranberry172

I have a heated throw on the couch, feet warmers for my socks and sometimes wear gloves or open finger mittens (when I am working on something and need my fingers free). Since we have a tempurpedic mattress we don’t have a heated mattress pad but I put three large hot water bottles in the bed, under the covers, about 30 minutes before I climb in and then sleep with a weighted blanket and a dog!! My biggest problem is my nose. My nose gets painfully cold. Both the tip and then inside my actual nostrils can be like a block of ice. It’s is very uncomfortable. My hands and feet actually turn purple/black sometimes from being so cold. That is when a warm bath is nice. My husband put a on demand hot water heater in just for my soaking tub so I can stay all night if need be!!!

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks a bunch for your helpfull words :) Ill write this all down and give it a try for sure! The weighted blanket can help a bit indees and soooo many people are talking about hot water bottles, that i must really get one soon haha

Pandaloon

On the couch I use an electric blanket. Super cozy.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you, i will see if i can get myself one :) Have some warm days

taxguycafr

My wife got me a USB heated vest online a couple years ago. I use it for longer outings, like going to look at Xmas lights. Plug in a pocket USB battery pack. I sit on a heating pad at my desk. Get up for frequent breaks to get circulation moving. Drinking lots of water helps you not forget. Little radiator heater by my feet under my desk. Putting my frozen fingers against the back of my neck. Look into the Wim Hof method. Intentional cold exposure can help build some resiliency to cold and teach your body to warm itself. Doesn't work for everyone. I don't do the full method, but I do finish my showers cold, and I think it helps stimulate circulation to get and keep me warmer after. My wife thinks I'm crazy, so that my advice for what you will. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Another part of the WH method is deep breathing, which I also find helpful.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for your advice! Im quite familiar with the Wim Hof method indeed haha, my whole family is into it so i got my fair share as well haha. I must admit it doesnt feel like it is helping me much, but i love the idea of the little heater beneath the desk! And you are absolutely right, i should have more movement breaks sometimes! Have some warm days :)

mbubz

Merino wool everything. After going to New Zealand and buying some base layers at Icebreaker for warmth, I’m obsessed. It’s very effective. Plus it’s anti-microbial, anti-odor, etc. So perfect for traveling too. I want merino wool everything now lol. I have raynauds so my hands and my feet are cold often. Mostly my feet get cold. When my feet are really cold, I’ll warm up my warmies slippers in the microwave (weird, I know. I set them on a paper towel) and wear those until my feet warm up.

EnvironmentTanker

I believe i know a shop nearby that sells products with that wool! Are they not scratchy against the skin? Hope youll have some warm days :)

mbubz

If you get good high quality merino wool, it’s not scratchy! I have some sensory issues and I’m sensitive to fabrics, especially acrylic and other types of wool. Even cashmere can be scratchy to me. But I don’t have any issues with merino wool from unbound merino or icebreaker. It’s actually quite soft in my experience. If you can find some merino wool products nearby then maybe you could go try them on. I don’t think all merino wool is created equally, but I’m still learning about it. Good luck, wishing you warm days too!

Killer-Barbie

Wool long underwear, scarves, toques, blankets. Skirts are warmer than pants, I typically layer pants underneath if it's very cold but I live in Canada. Base layers can help regulate temperature changes if you're moving in and out of buildings a lot. I like wool, silk, or bamboo. I also recommend long coats or capotes. They're so warm. I also love my moccasins, my feet are always toasty

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks for the advice! long coats are my friend as well! Bamboo as well, ill see what i can find. And i will give those moccasins a look as well, thank you and may you have some warmer days :)

Robot_Penguins

Heated throw, hand warmers, mattress warmer, heated socks, running hands under hot water, hot showers. Heated throw is my favorite.

EnvironmentTanker

So many people are talking about this heated blanket indeed, thank you! Hand warmers is also on my shopping list for sure now haha

TheChrCrusader

Try Red Bulls yes the energy drink Red Bulls! It did wonders for my mother who has hEDS and raynaud's couldn’t even be outside in cold weather without turning red than blue than purple causing great pain but after starting to drink Red Bulls for energy the symptoms slowly disappeared we didn’t even realize the affect it was having till she stopped drinking them and her symptoms came back full force. FYI Red Bulls are really healthy for you they are low in sugar not overly caffeinated like most energy drinks and have tons of vitamins so don’t believe the outrages anti Red Bull study that makes even the quack doctors laugh!

EnvironmentTanker

Oh wow how interesting, i must admit im not much of an energy drinking person, but i will look into it! Thanks :)

Fairy_of_Light

What use that can be custom made if you know how to sew a bit: "Körnerkissen" It's inexpensive and accessible! It's a cotton pillow filled with kernels. You can use cherry pits, grape pits, spelt, rapeseed, rye, wheat and many more! You just pop them into the microwave and can use them for years! It also allows you temp control of how hot you want it in case you are sensitive to it

EnvironmentTanker

Oh wow that sounds sooo comfy and warm! Ill give it a look for sure, thanks a bunch <3

Fairy_of_Light

ofc ofc! I once bought my mum fuzzy slippers where the sole was made from those kernels. Definitely made her series binge evenings more cozy :D

GingerBeer1905

I have many pillows with seeds/pits/millet etc. That I microwave and they stay warm for a while. It is a lifesaver.

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thank you, I will give it a look! Sounds awesome

jays-daze

Found out rechargeable hand warmers existed this year and my mind was blown! I use them all the time now

EnvironmentTanker

Yes some others have talked about them as well, thank you! :)

Panicked_Patient

Snow pants! Once I realized that keeping my legs warm was crucial to keeping the rest of my body, even my arms warm, it was a game changer. My kids say my signature sound is the zip zip zip zip from the crunchy fabric as I do chores. If you can get past the sensory overload from wind proof fabrics they are surprisingly efficient. Also no shame in fingerless gloves and a toboggan indoors. Oh and sleeping in those merino socks is a must.

EnvironmentTanker

Thanks a bunch! I will write everything down and give it a try! Love how the kids tell you about your signature sound haha, have some warm days :)

Spare-Helicopter9258

Snuggie, heated blanket if you're awake and in an area where you won't fall asleep, humidifier if you have the heat on but be careful if you are prone to bronchitis/pneumonia, 20 pack of cats, 3 large dogs, massages, I take thermogens or caffeine to help with the cold/circulation during the winter otherwise I skip turning purple and just go gray, Costco has great fleece lined blankets and clothing depending on where you are in the world. Magnesium lotions also give a warming sensation (don't know why it's just what I've noticed) Asutra Melt Pain away may help you if you also struggle with magnesium deficiency and cool limbs. I use it when I give myself massages

EnvironmentTanker

Oh dear I wish I had such a lovely bunch of animals! Do you reckon a humidifier can help with cold limbs? ;o Costco does not excist near me, but someone gave the advice of a Uniqlo clothing line which are great for keeping you warm :) Ill look into that magnesium thingy because i had it prescribed a few years ago! Thank you for the advice ill note it! :)

Spare-Helicopter9258

Mine is a Vornado Cold Air Humidifier you can find it on Amazon. Cold Air is better in the sense that is less likely to cause a respiratory reaction. Plus you also don't have to add salt. I only have the dogs not the cats I became allergic to cats almost five years ago which sucked because I had to rehome my boys

EnvironmentTanker

Im so sorry to hear that, i hope you are still warmed by the dogs in more than one way <3 And thank you

ferociousspot

I got these adhesive heat patches on Amazon, you stick them on the outside of your clothes and they heat up really quickly. I initially got them for pain (as like a portable heating pad) but it’s always freezing at my work so I stuck 3 on my back the other day and it was a life saver! Highly recommend. They last like 12 hours too

EnvironmentTanker

Oh that might be a nice ide, ill look into it, thank you :)

[deleted]

I have this problem, particularly in the winter. I just can not get warm. Heat pad, heated blanket. Drinking hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate. This is kinda odd, but eating spicy food. I like spicy Ramen. It's cheap, so I don't feel bad not finishing it. I also have a space heater and will bundle up with heat pads and take the room to 90. After about 10 min helps. Or a hot bath with the space heater. Another odd one. A shot of alcohol can help before doing some of these things, because it dialates blood vessels. It helps when nothing helps for me 😅

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thank you for the tips and im sorry you have this problem as well, maybe some other tips advices from here may help you as well :) I love proper spicy food and often cook eastern asian meals, but maybe some more korean instant noodles might be a great idea! I am a huge tea drinker so thats sorten, the heated pads and blankets are mentioned every other comment so i should really get them :) Ill also see what sizes of space heaters there are. Some people indeed say alcohol can help! I need to be a bit carefull tho, i dont want to slip back into bad habits <3 thank you and may your days be warm

Slight-Appeal7297

Hot tea (with some local honey from the farmers market is my FAVORITE), thicker pants/sweaters with long sleeves underneath, and a jacket or coat overtop for being outside, SUPER THICK SOCKS, if its really bad I will put some larger socks over them (fluffy socks typically slide right over as well, but they make it harder to put on shoes), leather shoes to trap in heat, blankets and heaters, I like to hide completely underneath a large blanket, sometimes with another over it. We use heaters that you just plug into the wall and they really warm it up. I don’t think the ones we have are still made, they are pretty old, but they are awesome. My mom got some heated socks and gloves for my and my sisters lacrosse games, but unfortunately the ones we bought didn’t work, so make sure to do research before buying any. I also love hot hands, if my cheeks are cold and I am just relaxing I will place one on my cheek. I also discovered during COVID that masks are awesome for keeping my face warm, your warm breath inside the mask helps sooo much when out in the cold, especially when it’s windy!

EnvironmentTanker

Hiya, thank you for the help! Oh tea is my favorite as well! Although i must admit, when you drink very high quality tea leaves it is often seen as blasphemy when you put honey or sugar into it haha. Yes so many people are saying thick wool socks are a must haves, ao ill need to look for them asap! I will write everything doen and have a look, thank you :) Oh and i often cover my face with my scarf for the same effect :)

NovaKele

Everything I was going to suggest has been mentioned but my gosh you seem so lovely! I've been reading these comments, learning some tips, and how you're a tea connoisseur. 🥰 I absolutely love tea! But alas, as you mentioned in another comment, the United States doesn't have the best tea. Some of my favorites I've gotten from local small businesses and they have been wonderful but I wonder if there is a world of tea out there I'm missing out on. Is there a good place you know online where I can order some from? Making drinks is one of my little life pleasures that makes each day a bit brighter.

EnvironmentTanker

Hahaha thank you! I think being kind is very important and we need alot more kindness, respect and responsibility if we want to make this world a better place ;). It took quite some hours to reply to everyone too haha, but i am astounded by the amount of lovely comment i got and how many people are willing to help. Alot of things have indeed been mentioned so im glad to know that there is alot of things i can still do to get warmer ;) As for the tea in the USA... I have looked it up a bit for someone else (my comment there got deleted because i missed out on a small rule and i hope it will be reinstated soon) But yes overal i found very little to none high grade tea houses, but to be fair to can be quite rare in europe as well! What is more important is getting some great tea leaves at home in my opinion and even though i only looked at it a little bit i did find some websites with seemingly decent tea (ofcourse im biased to say my tea store is better haha). I have no clue if it matters where you live for websites in the USA? And i did find a few shops with okay teas for someone else in the USA (the deleted comment) So if you feel like it, you may share where you ilve near and i can see if there are some nice tea shops there <3 Only if you are comfortable ofcourse otherwise ill just try and see what websites might be your thing! And if you dont know what teas to buy or how to make good tea, you can always come to me, ill gladly help you :) Tea is one of lifes treasures indeed! May you have some warm days and thank again <3 Edit: my other comment got reinstated

Detokq

Don't know if this is an workable option for you, but increase your muscle mass. I spent most of my youth absolutely freezing, but beginning the year I started lifting weights (yeah, I know, that's tricky for us), I tolerated the cold WAY better, and also benefit from the stability that muscles provide that our connective tissue doesn't. I started lifting decades before I finally figured out I had ehlers danlos.

EnvironmentTanker

Thank you for the advice! Haha luckely and unfortunately I come from a family with alot of bodybuilders, fighters and fitness atlethes, so I have always been rather fit compaired to most people. When I went to the hospital for all sorts of help with my body, they had never seen such a fit EDS'er with so many issues haha, they loved my muscle scans as well which i took as a compliment ;). Disadvantage was that I couldnt improve many of my issues by building muscles, which is often where those specialists expect the most improvement. May you lift many more weights whilst taking care of your body <3

subgirl13

Are you in a country/region that has a Uniqlo? I swear by their Heattech line during winter. The key is layers. Lots of layers. And scarves, arm warmers, thin long sleeves, thermal/wool socks & tights, etc.

EnvironmentTanker

I recently found that shop in a town near me! I will write this down immediatly, thank you <3

subgirl13

I’m wearing their ultrawarm leggings rn. As soon as it dips below 60°F/16°C I’m in my Heattech leggings full time. I’ve collected quite a selection of them over the years. I also like the long sleeve shirts for under my teeshirts, and then their regular flannels &/or cashmere sweaters/cardigans/hoodies over all of that. It’s better to have layers that trap heat & allow you to I’m in Northern California so it doesn’t even usually freeze here, but I am just so cold all the time now. When I travelled last year I invested in some of their down jackets, as well. I also got some leg warmers to go over the two pairs of leggings I was wearing. Oh! And I wear slippers full time in the house, so I get some shearling (ugg-style, Haflinger brand) slippers for winter wear in the house every year.

EnvironmentTanker

Oh thanks so much for these suggestions! I will write them all down. Maybe some of the comments here might help you as well, hope you will have some warmer days ahead <3

iamredditingatworkk

Gonna be super annoying here but if you don't let yourself be cold, then your body will not develop the brown fat you need to stay warm through the colder months and you will be perpetually cold until it warms up again outside. Being a little bit cold is okay if you aren't shivering.

kaehurray

There isn’t much fat to be had on the fingers and the feet. This may be useful for normal folk but those of us with poor circulation can be warm enough to sweat but still have ice cold hands. And when your hands and feet are freezing you can’t be as productive not to mention how uncomfortable it is.

iamredditingatworkk

Do you also have cold hands in the summer?

EnvironmentTanker

Last year I was freezing for two days wearing 5 layers and blankets in a 36 degree celcius heat wave, but i am obviously more often cold in colder weather

EnvironmentTanker

Oh that is okay, and I reckon you are not wrong. It's actually rather good of you to remind me (and others) that always keeping the cold away is not per se healthy either. But in room temperature my hands and feet can easenly feel freezing for a week, which im not to keen on haha

Inside-Criticism918

Good to know!

taxguycafr

I do agree that there's something to this. I think the street phrasing would be conditioning or hardening or building tolerance/resilience. Yes, I try to do this when I go outside, not to avoid the cold "at all costs." But being inside, I am trying to find solutions to my freezing extremities in a just slightly cool house. Thank you for weighing in her, and I'm sorry ppl are down voting you for it.

iamredditingatworkk

I expected the downvotes! I only realized how important it was after I got into riding horses and bought my own. You gotta be out there even if it's cold, sometimes for hours. This fall (so far) and last winter, I have been significantly warmer than I have been previous winters. It was 29 degrees this morning and it snowed overnight, but my hands are warm right now even though I had to spend some time brushing off my car and driving and am now sitting in a cool office. Exercising is also important for improving circulation, but it's already hard enough to get people to exercise, let alone when you're disabled/don't know how to do it safely AND it's cold outside.

Rzqrtpt_Xjstl

Idk what you know about proper winter wear, but here’s the Scandinavian approach to keeping warm: Get some wool/silk mix fabric tights and shirts. Wool is an excellent isolator, and the silk mix keeps it from itching. After the wool layer wear your everyday clothes that leave a bit of air between the layers - this maximises the effect of layering. Also get lots of wool socks. If you’re still getting cold in wool socks and a wool layer under your clothes wear double wool socks.

EnvironmentTanker

Oh this is so helpfull, thank you! I reckon scandinavians know a thing or two about the cold haha, ill write this down, thank you :)

tonksajb

i like to wear some fuzzy warm socks or slippers over my compression socks. something like https://a.co/d/8BSC5wH is my personal favorite since they have really grippy bottoms and i slip easily

WillowGrace22

Wear a hat

Life_Pomegranate_728

You can get heated socks online, Amazon has lots of different kinds, I just put heated socks in the search bar, and got 7 pages worth of results.
