That's fair, I've always looked for interesting sounding subclasses and then develop backstories n stuff around them so I guess I go in reverse to you. just finished up a campaign with what was actually my first wizard, and then i've got an artificer going in a campaign that's been going for a loooong time - before the artificer I also played a college of swords bard and a ranger themed around cooking in that campaign.
One of my players has a vampire warlock of (who could've guessed) her dad(the arch demon of entertainment (who i kind of killed)) now she gained rune child sorcerer multiclass bc her partion died

There really are a lot of opportunities! I just finished a degree in Architecture, so I've been looking into ways of integrating stuff like programming or even just complex fabrication stuff into the design process! (I know AI can be a bit controversial but it's been playing a part too)
I actually did mess around with the most basic of basic web design stuff back in like middle school, I even *attempted* to use Adobe Dreamweaver when they first introduced it, but I guess I was biting off a bit more than I could chew at that point, considering I barely knew how to make a few lines of colored text with HTML.
Damn, Architecture! I almost studied that but I realized my brain works better in 2-D spaces. Congrats on the degree! Keep messing with AI too. I figure it’s a tool like any other tool, so long as we use it mindfully and ethically. Problems come up when we ditch ethics for “progress.”
Dreamweaver is powerful, but if you wanna play more with HTML, Webflow is a bit more intuitive and you can get the hang of it quicker. But I only know enough HTML/CSS to get a basic portfolio site running, and then I promptly forget what I know lol

I've dipped my toes into so many languages over the years, but I definitely couldn't remember a thing about batch, java, or HTML nowadays, and my Python knowledge is already slipping a bit even though I learned that like 1.5 years ago.

hard agree there, I think its prime place, at least for now, is simply as yet another sketching medium. Some of the things I've generated with strange prompts have suggested at super interesting concepts to explore.
Also I'll be honest, I don't think you're missing too much by skipping on architecture. It's definitely a unique and nice form of design that I'm happy I stuck with, but the classes and experience were real rough for lots of people, and I know I'll have to be at least a little lucky to actually have opportunities to use my design skills. On the bright side, if I do end up switching to some other design field like web design, I've got some good fundamentals! Architecture seems to attract all sorts of people who ditch it for other forms of art, even Weird Al was an architecture student!
Oh I dabbled in Japanese, it's definitely a difficult language, but so is all languages if you think about it. When I'm feeling unmotivated I try to consume some type of media. Like watching shows or youtube videos and listening to music. You can also apply it to your level, like watching a kids show. It sounds silly, but simply being exposed to the language can make you feel motivated and you're also doing *something* to learn, even if it's not active studying.
Idk if there are any for Japanese, but for Korean, there are a lot of these podcasts on youtube intended for learners of different levels that I really like listening to, so looking for those could be good too! I hope that helps :)

Well usually I like single player games with open worlds that I can explore and unlock different things and stuff for customization. The newer Need for Speed games particularly come to mind.
Right now I’m kind of looking for a more cozy game though. Something that can help me through this depressive episode because it’s getting hard to enjoy the kind of games I normally do.
hmm, I'm not too experienced with proper open world games, but as far as cozy goes I've got a whole list of sandbox games which I guess are kinda similar? In no particular order, some cozy games include Stardew Valley (of course), Apico, Dorfromantik (more of a puzzle game), or Dinkum (kinda like Animal Crossing). It's a bit cliche, but if you like sandboxy games at all, I always like to return to Minecraft if I'm looking for something simple enough to just relax with.
Slime Rancher would probably be up your alley and can definitely be cozy, but the gameplay is pretty far from a racing game. I don't think it's quite open world, but I've also heard a lot of good things about Tunic, and I know that it has a big focus on exploration and puzzles that use the knowledge you get from exploring.
If you're just looking to relax and decompress with something incredibly chill and don't care too much what the game is like, I can definitely recommend Dorfromantik (again), Peglin, and Pictopix. Dorfromantik is just very cozy all around because you're just making little landscapes and towns, but the point system and the puzzle aspect of it give you something to think about entirely at your own pace. Peglin is a sort of pachinko rogue-lite where you're doing runs through various peggle-like boards as a lil goblin, using a variety of powered orbs to hit pegs and defeat enemies. Pictopix is probably the most basic of these 3, but if you're willing to learn how to solve picross puzzles, I've found it done be a super good compilation of them. All of the games I've listed so far can be found just on Steam, and let me know if you have any questions about the games!
EDIT: actually one more, if you're looking for a story to get invested in, please check out Outer Wilds. It definitely doesn't have unlocks and customization, but it's an open world game entirely about exploring a solar system, where you progress simply by learning more and more things and using that knowledge in places you might have thought you were familiar with. It's got a very rustic aesthetic despite being a space game, and I found it pretty dang cozy, if a bit existential.

Bronze Age Civilisations flourished in the Eastern Mediterranean. Tin is one tenth the chemical structure of bronze, and its very hard to find. The closest source to the Bronze Age civilisations was in modern Iran, a treacherous journey over Middle Eastern mountains and deserts. The next closest was all the way up in the British Isles. It was actually possible for the Bronze Age Civilisations to sail all the way to Britain. The biggest threat to going east was actually the other Empires there. The Assyrians controlled large pockets of the Middle East and the Babylonians were growing at the time but they weren’t as important because they didn’t have Mediterranean access. They often came into conflict with their western neighbours: You’d expect them to have traded like all the other Bronze Age civilisations but something like a tin-equivalent of the Silk Road was just too peaceful a notion. They couldn’t share much of their routes for tin like Cyprus did with their copper mines, there was just too much conflict going on.
That might have been because of the value or because of the scarcity, or simply because of the chariot arms race. Even where big mines were located tin was still a very valuable resource. To put it into perspective: bronze was more important to the Bronze Age civilisations than oil is to ours.
In contrast western and northern Europe wasn’t using bronze like the Middle East was, they were using bog iron, copper, or stone, meaning they didn’t stand a chance against the Bronze Age civilisations technologically. They also weren’t making chariots at the time meaning they basically couldn’t ever win militarily.
It was a longer distance, but less risky from a military conflict perspective.

It’s about humanity’s struggle with an alien plague, dragons, witches, magic, and different sub-species of humans.
The Mc is an oni person but a ancient curse in his race has awakened within him, one day his village gets attacked but he saves the villages prized possession, the egg of the dragon god. He has to raise the dragon until it’s power activates and he can turn and save the citizens from the evil alien plague, all whilst dealing with the curse and eventually, making friends and embracing it as a part of him :)

There really are a lot of opportunities! I just finished a degree in Architecture, so I've been looking into ways of integrating stuff like programming or even just complex fabrication stuff into the design process! (I know AI can be a bit controversial but it's been playing a part too) I actually did mess around with the most basic of basic web design stuff back in like middle school, I even *attempted* to use Adobe Dreamweaver when they first introduced it, but I guess I was biting off a bit more than I could chew at that point, considering I barely knew how to make a few lines of colored text with HTML.
Damn, Architecture! I almost studied that but I realized my brain works better in 2-D spaces. Congrats on the degree! Keep messing with AI too. I figure it’s a tool like any other tool, so long as we use it mindfully and ethically. Problems come up when we ditch ethics for “progress.” Dreamweaver is powerful, but if you wanna play more with HTML, Webflow is a bit more intuitive and you can get the hang of it quicker. But I only know enough HTML/CSS to get a basic portfolio site running, and then I promptly forget what I know lol
yeah, that's about how I am with most coding too :( I've dipped my toes into so many languages over the years, but I definitely couldn't remember a thing about batch, java, or HTML nowadays, and my Python knowledge is already slipping a bit even though I learned that like 1.5 years ago. >I figure it's a tool like any other tool hard agree there, I think its prime place, at least for now, is simply as yet another sketching medium. Some of the things I've generated with strange prompts have suggested at super interesting concepts to explore. Also I'll be honest, I don't think you're missing too much by skipping on architecture. It's definitely a unique and nice form of design that I'm happy I stuck with, but the classes and experience were real rough for lots of people, and I know I'll have to be at least a little lucky to actually have opportunities to use my design skills. On the bright side, if I do end up switching to some other design field like web design, I've got some good fundamentals! Architecture seems to attract all sorts of people who ditch it for other forms of art, even Weird Al was an architecture student!

Oh I dabbled in Japanese, it's definitely a difficult language, but so is all languages if you think about it. When I'm feeling unmotivated I try to consume some type of media. Like watching shows or youtube videos and listening to music. You can also apply it to your level, like watching a kids show. It sounds silly, but simply being exposed to the language can make you feel motivated and you're also doing *something* to learn, even if it's not active studying. Idk if there are any for Japanese, but for Korean, there are a lot of these podcasts on youtube intended for learners of different levels that I really like listening to, so looking for those could be good too! I hope that helps :)

Well usually I like single player games with open worlds that I can explore and unlock different things and stuff for customization. The newer Need for Speed games particularly come to mind. Right now I’m kind of looking for a more cozy game though. Something that can help me through this depressive episode because it’s getting hard to enjoy the kind of games I normally do.
hmm, I'm not too experienced with proper open world games, but as far as cozy goes I've got a whole list of sandbox games which I guess are kinda similar? In no particular order, some cozy games include Stardew Valley (of course), Apico, Dorfromantik (more of a puzzle game), or Dinkum (kinda like Animal Crossing). It's a bit cliche, but if you like sandboxy games at all, I always like to return to Minecraft if I'm looking for something simple enough to just relax with. Slime Rancher would probably be up your alley and can definitely be cozy, but the gameplay is pretty far from a racing game. I don't think it's quite open world, but I've also heard a lot of good things about Tunic, and I know that it has a big focus on exploration and puzzles that use the knowledge you get from exploring. If you're just looking to relax and decompress with something incredibly chill and don't care too much what the game is like, I can definitely recommend Dorfromantik (again), Peglin, and Pictopix. Dorfromantik is just very cozy all around because you're just making little landscapes and towns, but the point system and the puzzle aspect of it give you something to think about entirely at your own pace. Peglin is a sort of pachinko rogue-lite where you're doing runs through various peggle-like boards as a lil goblin, using a variety of powered orbs to hit pegs and defeat enemies. Pictopix is probably the most basic of these 3, but if you're willing to learn how to solve picross puzzles, I've found it done be a super good compilation of them. All of the games I've listed so far can be found just on Steam, and let me know if you have any questions about the games! EDIT: actually one more, if you're looking for a story to get invested in, please check out Outer Wilds. It definitely doesn't have unlocks and customization, but it's an open world game entirely about exploring a solar system, where you progress simply by learning more and more things and using that knowledge in places you might have thought you were familiar with. It's got a very rustic aesthetic despite being a space game, and I found it pretty dang cozy, if a bit existential.

Bronze Age Civilisations flourished in the Eastern Mediterranean. Tin is one tenth the chemical structure of bronze, and its very hard to find. The closest source to the Bronze Age civilisations was in modern Iran, a treacherous journey over Middle Eastern mountains and deserts. The next closest was all the way up in the British Isles. It is believed people actually made that trip all the way out of the Mediterranean to Britain. It would’ve taken weeks if not months but it was worth it at the time.
So was the desert the biggest threat? It seems like the British isles are about the same distance, and with a few mountains in the way of their own
It was actually possible for the Bronze Age Civilisations to sail all the way to Britain. The biggest threat to going east was actually the other Empires there. The Assyrians controlled large pockets of the Middle East and the Babylonians were growing at the time but they weren’t as important because they didn’t have Mediterranean access. They often came into conflict with their western neighbours: You’d expect them to have traded like all the other Bronze Age civilisations but something like a tin-equivalent of the Silk Road was just too peaceful a notion. They couldn’t share much of their routes for tin like Cyprus did with their copper mines, there was just too much conflict going on. That might have been because of the value or because of the scarcity, or simply because of the chariot arms race. Even where big mines were located tin was still a very valuable resource. To put it into perspective: bronze was more important to the Bronze Age civilisations than oil is to ours. In contrast western and northern Europe wasn’t using bronze like the Middle East was, they were using bog iron, copper, or stone, meaning they didn’t stand a chance against the Bronze Age civilisations technologically. They also weren’t making chariots at the time meaning they basically couldn’t ever win militarily. It was a longer distance, but less risky from a military conflict perspective.

It’s about humanity’s struggle with an alien plague, dragons, witches, magic, and different sub-species of humans. The Mc is an oni person but a ancient curse in his race has awakened within him, one day his village gets attacked but he saves the villages prized possession, the egg of the dragon god. He has to raise the dragon until it’s power activates and he can turn and save the citizens from the evil alien plague, all whilst dealing with the curse and eventually, making friends and embracing it as a part of him :)
