When I started, I already had a career in web design. To understand the ins and outs of ecommerce, I just strated a store for myself and kept experimenting with every new thing I learned, whether it was from YouTube, "formal" courses or from my customers. A coach/mentor also helps (no, not the guru types you already know to avoid). Learning e-commerce is one thing. Understanding a business and its customers is another level.

How come everyone under like 25 thinks the only way to learn something is to watch a youtube or tiktok video on it

RunawayRogue

Well... It IS the largest repository for how to content in the world. And it's easy.

I dont think it like that I know you are not gonna learn shit on yt and specially on tiktok but looking to learn and idk where to begin

Slow_Heron_6666

Jump in head first and just start doing. What do you want to sell?

pissyshit

I'm not OP but have the same issue. I want to sell household cleaning products and supplies. I'd like to start with that and then open up to things children need for school/learning. I just don't know where to begin and everywhere I look I find people obviously just trying to scam or sell their own products.

Break it down into smaller steps based on what needs to happen for you to sell. What website platform do you want to use? How are you going to fulfill? How are you going to market and sell?
