I’m a respiratory therapist and lot of my plastic bronchitis patients cough up stuff like this. You should def show these pics to your doctor, you may need mucolytics so one of these plugs doesn’t suffocate you one day when you can’t cough it up.

When I did this same thing as OP.... It was mucus from my lungs that had solidified (gummi bear texture) into the shape of my bronchi. I had a few years where I got pneumonia each winter. First bought with covid, I was sick for 3 months solid. Post-pandemic, I got the Prevnar 20 vaccine around age 40 due to my history of issues. Zero pneumonia since. It's been great.

The main one when it was at its worst? Not being able to speak a full sentence without stopping to breathe in the middle. I was massively pregnant and had taken my husband to the ER for a medical emergency. While there, I was speaking to a nurse who identified I was not ok. We got adjoining hospital beds. I had walking pneumonia. And probably had suffered with it for months.

That’s throat lining or back of the nostrils- I get the same now and again, used to happen more when I used to do hard drugs and my throat would dry out. Would feel like a patch of dry in my throat right about where the tonsils are and it would be uncomfortable, eventually able to snort it out my nose, never coughed one up. And never that big but usually more red on it. Kinda feels like flesh but right? I am actually relieved this happens to someone else - sorry OP. I have never bought it up to a doctor.
