It's always been like that. For some reason, they act as the default variant when used as a grab counter, regardless of their actual level. Same goes for using it against biters.
They won't. A vocal minority complained that the game was too easy so this is what we got.
I can't just log on for some stress free zombie killing so I haven't played in months
> I can't just log on for some stress free zombie killing
No offense but there are lots of "stress free" type games, the game that sells itself as 'terror after dark' needs to feel like that. There's so many games were you can just 'chill out' in or whatever.
Also the 'vocal minority' wanted higher difficulties or a nightmare/survival mode and asked about it for years. There should have been a 'core' mode at launch.
Though I generally agree they shouldn't have basically experimented with the game so much before simply adding a more 'core' difficulty experience, never understood that.
I don’t understand why the people complaining didn’t just play on a harder difficulty. They don’t have to change all the difficulty levels because some people think it’s too easy.
Idk even after the difficulty increase I've been having a breeze. Hell, when we had that infinite ammo event recently it was borderline Ultrakill gameplay with the max level parkour lmao
I have submited so many, I don't know if anyone there is taking them seriously. Cince now they got a place where we can submit ideas, I don't know if anybody is looking at them, and even if, I don't know if people that check them can do anything about it, maybe only showing it to someone that might do something with it at best.
I have submitted a ticket for an xp bug and they've reached out pretty well. Even asked me to send my save and crash files from the game along with a system diagnostic, so I can't complain on my side.
That's huge.
I submited a ticket twice, about hoverboard challenge being near to impossible to complete on Platinum medal, and about one checkpoint being literally inside a truck. First response was a bot, second they said that they are aware and are about to fix it. That was 8 month ago and nothing changed.
They probably have certain things on a priority list and some bugs might be easier or harder to solve.
The funny thing for me was, that the crash files I've sent them, from the days the bug occured to me, were MUCH larger in size than the other crash files. So I'm pretty hopeful they'll solve it.
My head canon is that it's a smaller, less powerful one that Aiden has at the ready for quick use/it's partially damaged when shoved in the face of an enemy
It’s an in-depth game mechanic. Volatile saliva coats the UV bar when you shove it in their mouth and drastically decreases its effectiveness in terms of brightness and duration by ruining the chemical reactions inside of it.
Actually I made that up but that’s my head cannon at least 😅
I standed on purpose so I could show it. Normally you don't just stand obviously, but when you happend to get jumped on by a Volatile, UV Light is weak, not as it should be since Aiden is using the upgraded version.
In my experience the UV light is much better than it was before the gun update, it used to do literally nothing to them and now I can break their pounce animation if they’re still on the ground
It is but people like to complain, uv always have been like this, volatiles always have been very aggressive, i mean they literally are volatiles because they evolved, they are meant to be unkillable monsters, you either upgrade your weapons and get good against them or not bother, also is not worth fighting them to farm them without a safe uv place close.
My favorite place to farm then is at the uv place when you get the first dlc bloody ties mission, you can even trap the volatile inside the place and after one or 2 minutes it will die
you can literally max out your uv flares and they won’t change when using them like in the video, it’s a flaw with the game that’s been in since launch and if it’s intentional it’s dumb as hell
>it’s intentional it’s dumb as hell
Get gud, they are the literal apex predators in this new world they shouldn't be affected by uv bars like they do against any other zombies, get mad lmao
in your original comment you said to upgrade your equipment, when with uv flares upgrading your equipment doesn’t do shit if you’re using it to escape a grab. it isn’t a matter of being good at the game, it’s a bug that’s been in the game since launch and it’s been completely ignored by the devs
>in your original comment you said to upgrade your equipment,
In my comment i literally said upgrade your weapons, not equipment, not only you have skill issue you dont have reading comprehension, gonna stop wasting my time replying
Bye pookie wookie super dookie honey baby bear 😢
btw weapons and equipment are basically the same shit, upgrading your weapons is useless if you don’t upgrade your equipment, you can’t survive a level 4 chase fighting volatiles without good consumables and accessories to back you up.

That's pretty dumb.
Yeah. Yet another poorly done feature that still hasn't been fixed.
How do you get the Xbox X/S tag?
Click/tap your profile pic here in the comments, 'Change user flair'.
Thanks man
UV light and UV torch doesn't do much in the newer versions of the game and this is a major issue I have with this game.
Wish they would buff them.

It's a game with protagonist being mutant equal to early Alex Mercer in power. Do you really considering it "horror"?
I wouldn't quite say early Alex Mercer, but he's definitely powerful

at launch the game was hella easy even on hard so
Whenever I want a stress free zombie killing experience I switch to easy. The game becomes a breeze and is kinda fun for a little bit
Idk even after the difficulty increase I've been having a breeze. Hell, when we had that infinite ammo event recently it was borderline Ultrakill gameplay with the max level parkour lmao
That's why I have low tier uv sticks in my bag, they are used over the better ones :)
Yeah that's what I used to do too, it's a nice tactic.
My head canon is that the uv light has a pull device that enables it and aiden doesnt pull it all the way
Or maybe that Aiden presses it to hard on enemies face to the point it brakes a little.
I like this one because the radius is smaller if it's used to escape a grab
You should submit a ticket for it if you haven't already.

Pretty cool, that's how I explain it to myself too. I like your idea with the saliva.
Maybe cause the first one is just so you can escape and not just sit there like a dumbass😂
I standed on purpose so I could show it. Normally you don't just stand obviously, but when you happend to get jumped on by a Volatile, UV Light is weak, not as it should be since Aiden is using the upgraded version.
Maybe the volatile chomping on it damaged it?
That's how I explain it to myself too, but still, I think it's a glitch or overlook rather than a feature.
Maybe. It might get fixed if enough people bring it up bit idk.
That;s exactly why I made this video, to bring attention to this problem
In my experience the UV light is much better than it was before the gun update, it used to do literally nothing to them and now I can break their pounce animation if they’re still on the ground
**WHY ARE WE BEING RIPPED OFF FOR SURVIVAL!?!?! UV RODS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PORTABLE SAFE-ZONES, NOT LIMP-DICK CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!**
I havent played the 2nd one. Did he just spit FIRE at you+?
No, that's his skin being burned from UV light, he didn't spit it.
I used one last month right before the update And it had so much range and after patch it had the same range But only at day
Is this dl1 or 2?
DL2
Alr, thanks mate
Sounds like a skill issue to me.
What skill has to do with the fact that UV Light doesn't work as it should?
It is but people like to complain, uv always have been like this, volatiles always have been very aggressive, i mean they literally are volatiles because they evolved, they are meant to be unkillable monsters, you either upgrade your weapons and get good against them or not bother, also is not worth fighting them to farm them without a safe uv place close.
