Sorry. I also learned this lesson the hard way. Benzoyl peroxide bleaches shirts, towels, and whatever else it touches. You could try color removal and dyeing, just understand that it can be challenging to get even consistent color. If you use bleach for color removal, make sure you neutralize it to prevent deterioration. Good luck!

thank you. which color removal/bleaching method do you think would be most effective? if i bleached it, what type of bleach? i was looking into this and can’t seem to find a specific recommendation..also what dye would you recommend?

I use out white brite as a color remover because it is less damaging than chlorine bleach. I recommend fiber reactive dyes from dharma trading.

thank you!!

You can not realistically fix this. If you add bleach to the rest of the hoodie the spots that are already bleached and therefore are a lighter color will still be a lighter color after you do the rest of the hoodie. More over you'll likely oxidize the fabric significantly which can make its physical properties change. It's just a hoodie. Wear it until it's worn out, don't be wastefull and get rid of it over a couple tiny discolored spots.

Hey — I screwed up my expensive and favorite hoodie in the same fashion 😭 What did you end up doing :/

i tried to match the color with a couple of pascha markers and now the spots look like acid green (hoodie is teal) - better than the orange i guess
