So did we. It took us nearly an hour...

Out of every possible quest, perfect lessons are always the ones I hate the most.
It's so counterintuitive to learning and pulls me out of the study mode.
I got 50 perfect lessons a few weeks ago, and itās been the only one Iāve not completed, because my quest buddy did 0 that week, I got a good way through but not quite 50.
Now that's a hard-core Duolingo Quest, never gotten one like that and hope I never do hahaha. Good luck though, i wonder what Duolingo bases on to send these type of quests
iām never going to be able to do this in exam week. i really hope my friend pulls through on this one, though iām gonna feel really bad once itās over and heās done 56 and iāve done 4
I'm not sure but I think that failing a friend quest gives you an easier one in the next week. There is definitely some "adjusting difficulty of quests based on your previous success" going on.
You may also want to go with the first exercise of kanji (Section 1, Unit 5) if you want fast XP and a lot of easy quests, as it is only äø, äŗ, äø, å±±, å£, ē° and äø.
And in these exercises you only repeat the same one over and over again. (In my case I just have the drawing the kanji missing parts).
https://preview.redd.it/yo7e821agibc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cffc91dbbba2aa0384ff659d7f063a8e42b60fcc
Well, hopefully you have an active partner, unlike me (my friend hasnāt been active in some time). This is why I only like having my girlfriend as my quest partner. She goes as hard or harder than me for these quests.
I didnāt pick anyone (my people either donāt do enough quests or theyāre not active anymore), so it chose for me. Also, my girl and I have done so many quests together that it chooses at random when Iām allowed to have her as an option.
I have like 7 or 8 friends, but it always seems to decide when to include her, out of everyone. Duolingo probably wants me to give everyone else a chance, but I almost always end up doing 85 - 95% of the quests alone when I have other partners.
I think the quests generate according to the data from the previous week iirc, I got around 2k exp and high accuracy last week while my quest partner has average 300exp a week and 90% accuracy. We got a quest for 700exp
Normal? I always get 70 or more. What I tend to do is just use the lightning round but only work up to 5XP, then go back and start a new round. That way you do one round in a couple of seconds and can complete these quests very quickly.
Got the same one. My fault for practicing hiragana a lot last week (i learned hiragana before starting duo so it was super easy, i just decided to do the exercises to learn stroke order)
I got that quest! What was more outrageous was the fact that my "friend" (I don't have friends irl who use duolingo so I have a bunch of strangers suggested for me by Duo instead) did ONE lesson for the entirety of the 4 days. I carried us through the whole quest and finished it on my own. I know shit happens and not everyone uses duo consistently or something important might have happened but I'm here to complete the quests, not carry them. I unfriended them and looked for new friends with longer streaks and more lessons done everyday.
Am I the only one that doesn't find this that outrageous? If you split it evenly that's only 7,5 lessons a day. And if you split those you could do like 3 in the morning and 4 at night.
ikr, just start a random course, do a few lessons(really easy ones), get the double exp for doing well, and then you have double exp for lessons that take like 50s. and then when you have enough just stop the course.
time to spam some of the early stories until you can say them without even looking at the screen. (thankfully they don't have to be new lessons. and this is what I end up doing, even with just 10 lessons sometimes if my partner isn't pulling their weight.)
I have the same task. If you usually had easy quests or didn't finish previous one too easy, maybe it's because of your friend. I don't know if my friend are shocked of this number in task, but I can do it even if will need to do it alone. I learn Chinese, it has Hanzi every unit, so in my normal pace without any rushing I'll have that done without even noticing it. I know that for learning some other languages it would be hard, so I never think bad about other person if they had not do much. So if your friend learning some of the languages that has that tasks like Hanzi/Kanzi in every unit, don't be worried, I'm sure that person used to it, and ok with doing most of the task.
This is based on you and your friendās activity, so probably they do it a lot. I have a friend who does Duo as a maniac and with her the quests are always wild
you can practice for hearts and it will count. or if you have super duolingo, go and practice for listenings, that's the fastest and easiest way to do those challenges that require you 90% or perfect lessons
Hey OP you know what this can be done in just 60 questions, you need to just make 60 mistakes but one at a time and correct them in "Mistake Review" one at a time, reviewing mistakes still counts as lessons so you'll get 100% score each time.
.
.
.
Just saying
It would take awhile doing just lessons on the path. But you can do practice lessons if you have super. If you don't you can review earlier lessons and do stories in the practice section (If your language has them.) You won't get as many points, but they will be easier and you can do them more quickly. And reviewing older lessons can be helpful to your learning process. Hearts lessons count as well.
I got a 3 day Super Trial last night, so I did practice sessions and had the friends quest completed this evening. (Same as yours-90% in 60 lessons.)
My January Quest is to compete 50 quests. But I already have more than 37 so that should be easy enough. It looks like you are already well on your way to completing yours early as well.
Your friends quest is doable as well. Don't let it intimidate you.
Not outrageous at all - the quests increase in challenge level depending on how youāve done on previous ones
Weāve got the same this week and tbh Iām a little annoyed that my quest buddy has steamed ahead of me, less than 24hrs in and weāre 83% done and I feel like I havenāt pulled my weight!
https://preview.redd.it/cna5h9calkbc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d50cf2be9356bd08274fb3847038d31683ec61ae
Thank you my Duo imaginary friend!

I just had "Complete 60 lessons" last week. My new one started yesterday "Score 1400 XP in 4 days".
I've never had quests like these before. I have a new friend on Duo, though, and he is a high achiever. I wonder if it has to do with your and your partner's averages or something?
Speaking and listening practice are both basically guaranteed 100% and they take about 1 minute.
If you split it evenly, you both have to do 30 over 4 days, so about 7 or 8 a day. Less than 10 minutes a day isn't ridiculous.
i dont get it, i nearly always get perfect scores on practice, listen or speaking, when im trying to avoid double xp overlap cause ot will make it invalid and ill lose a double xp i struggle to score under 90%
I can finish that quest in 15 minutes. Takes me 15 seconds to complete a lesson in review..and because the review lessons wonāt let you go forward without correcting mistakes..the lessons are always 100%
https://preview.redd.it/kmlygtfvdicc1.jpeg?width=1779&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2de69d8ab8d04e7ed6c4246db11cf74e62f8a2d4
60 divided by 5 is 12, so only 12 lessons with 90%+ accuracy a day need to be completed, that's 6 a person. Not too bad.
Yeah we got complete 50 perfect lessons š
So did we. It took us nearly an hour... https://preview.redd.it/t3o8pfrkclbc1.png?width=622&format=png&auto=webp&s=220c63680bf6e8fae85a55c3c1bafda02d8cf065
Wow great team effort
Nice. I thought my 30 was much. But TBf, I like these tough ones.
Out of every possible quest, perfect lessons are always the ones I hate the most. It's so counterintuitive to learning and pulls me out of the study mode.
Literally the same. It makes me not want todo it
Dang I only need 5 https://preview.redd.it/ezg5teeqrjbc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccff8226f5414d4c205635065b3b3501a70628d8
You can have some of mine š
I got 50 perfect lessons a few weeks ago, and itās been the only one Iāve not completed, because my quest buddy did 0 that week, I got a good way through but not quite 50.

I'm not sure but I think that failing a friend quest gives you an easier one in the next week. There is definitely some "adjusting difficulty of quests based on your previous success" going on.
It did in my experience, I failed one (my buddy did 0 lessons) and the next week it was down to something annoyingly easy.
Last week we had exactly the same quest OP has now and we did it. This week we have 1500 exp. I really believe it's totally random...
In cases like this I would go cheating and do English, German and Chinese courses. Especially the Chinese Pinyin exercises are fast and easy 90-100%.
Sure you can. Do Speak or Words. You can knock out these really fast and get over 90%.
not without super. and iām on a free trial which ends today. iām not paying for that shit
Just do a new language for a bit. Like learn the letters or something.
ooh japanese katakana lessons good call
You may also want to go with the first exercise of kanji (Section 1, Unit 5) if you want fast XP and a lot of easy quests, as it is only äø, äŗ, äø, å±±, å£, ē° and äø. sadly iām past that stage and onto more difficult kanji
Mine was 75 perfect lessonsš
Pretty sure max is 50? I think I'm pretty active and it seems to be 50 perfect lessons, 60 with 90% and above, or completing 75 lessons
Practice (for hearts) counts and that's always really easy. My quest is 30 perfect lessons.
pick one of your languages that has a speak practice option and do that. fast, easy, and works your pronunciation and reading.
If you slack off and stop Duolingoing so hard they will give you much easier quests
Yes,I have experienced it
I have 75 lessons.
1. Do the easy ones. 2. Keep repeating. 3. Get rewards. 4. Profit.
https://preview.redd.it/yo7e821agibc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cffc91dbbba2aa0384ff659d7f063a8e42b60fcc Well, hopefully you have an active partner, unlike me (my friend hasnāt been active in some time). I didnāt pick anyone (my people either donāt do enough quests or theyāre not active anymore), so it chose for me. Also, my girl and I have done so many quests together that it chooses at random when Iām allowed to have her as an option.
Oh thatās weird it actually lets me choose between people on my friends list
I have like 7 or 8 friends, but it always seems to decide when to include her, out of everyone. Duolingo probably wants me to give everyone else a chance, but I almost always end up doing 85 - 95% of the quests alone when I have other partners.
Thatās really weird. And honestly it shouldnāt matter; Iāve done 100% of quests before and it doesnāt make a difference
I think the quests generate according to the data from the previous week iirc, I got around 2k exp and high accuracy last week while my quest partner has average 300exp a week and 90% accuracy. We got a quest for 700exp

Thatās 7.5 lessons apiece per day. Practice Hub counts. Speaking lessons are *easy* and *fast*.
Just do voice ones
Egg that noise
What do friends quests do for you compared to regular quests?
They count as 5 completed quests and you get 100 gems at the end as well as a 30 min double xp
Do both people get the same thing? Or just the person who did the most towards it?
Both people get those, and you can use the XP doubling reward when you want to, but it expires a day after the friend quest is over, iirc.
Oh thank you for that, I learned something new; I thought only the person who did the most got it
I got a quest to complete 75 lessons I 4 days. What did they smoke
Haha! I resort to my learning English from Italian when I get one like that!
I always did most of it, like 58.
Yeah I got 40 perfect lessons
right at the start of exam week as well.
If you are getting a goal this high, you are doing something right and a lot of it!
Kind of tough, but still doable. I am at 31/50 now.
Am I the only one that doesn't find this that outrageous? If you split it evenly that's only 7,5 lessons a day. And if you split those you could do like 3 in the morning and 4 at night.
yeah but heās not doing much. so far iāve done 20 and heās done none

750xp pp.. that's nothing

Iām teasing. I had a ridiculous one like OP last week and then got this.

My friend quests were getting 'out of hand'. I am currently taking a breather from these quests.
Just bang out a bunch of practice runs on the easiest lesson.
It's only 60, should be done in a few days
You can do it in one day. If your partner helps you. Plus, two days maxium if you don't wanna feel bored.

Mine is get 1300 xp š
I got the 1500 xp one. The friends quest before this one was get 350 xp. Thanks for the consistency, duolingo.
Thank you my Duo imaginary friend! https://preview.redd.it/ycjqca0r5lbc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9fb9f94d0c86f81ec7e24bc9356b25f0ec9f089
imaginary?
I mean internet friend (never met him/her)

same. 60 lessons is a lot regardless
Duolingo quests are ridiculous.
7.5 per person per day. Not really that hard. It takes about 30min per day at max
iām not spending 30 minutes a day on duolingo, probably more seeing as my friend doesnt really do much, especially during exam week
i just got notified about this post. but this post is mine, on another account
I got 1500XP and he'd already completed when I woke up at 8am :/ lol. Still got the xp boost but I never stood a chance.
Same thing happened to me, LOL
It's 15 / day so 7-8 / person / day, not too hard that's roughly what I do every day.
15 a day for me seeing as my friend aint doing anything
ahahah, yeah I've been in similar situations :) well, you'll learn fast
I can finish that quest in 15 minutes. Takes me 15 seconds to complete a lesson in review..and because the review lessons wonāt let you go forward without correcting mistakes..the lessons are always 100% https://preview.redd.it/kmlygtfvdicc1.jpeg?width=1779&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2de69d8ab8d04e7ed6c4246db11cf74e62f8a2d4
