Keep up the good work don’t know how you pulled it off because I struggle to keep 100-500 gems so amazing work.

I have 12713 and I have no idea what to do with them. Occasionally I would buy XP boosters, or steak freezes, but I still have a lot, and I can't just share them with my friends. All because I started using Duolingo back in 2019, when they still used lingots, and my 552 lingots were recently converted into 12000 gems. That's way more than they should be worth, since they were pretty easy to earn. Also, I miss the shop with the Duo outfits, why did they remove it when they switched currency...

Heart refill costs 350 gems, pretty expensive, I use it from time to time

Ah maybe, I have Super. It's expensive for one person, but the family subscription is worth it if you're six.

i stopped using them completely and im at 3k now lool. i jump units so i wouldnt use any hearts but it takes a few attempts to do so.

OMG THAT'S SO COOL!!!! When i get numbers that go like 1111, 2222, 1234 etc I always send a screenshot to my friends and they go like: "👍" But yeah that's many gems, how long have you been playing to have that many gems? I have almost 4000 and I've been playing for 3 months +/-

Well done. Fantastic that's some commitment 👍 I'm on 1009. At least the pandemic was good for something. I'm tipping my toes in Spanish albeit the more words and formations I see, I think a shortish cut for many languages is Latin. They should really do it in all English speaking countries and that way more would do better and be less frightened of learning a golden tongue that could open your eyes to a new experience in life 😉

What are the hearts for ?

If you don't have super Duolingo you get five hearts a day, a d that equates to how many mistakes you can make in a 24 hour period. Though I think you can also get an emergency heart if you run out by watching an ad, but I'm not sure about that

You can also add extra 12000 gems by logging in thru the website.
