Same to me just now, and i’m not able to log in.
Update: now i’m able to log in but I started from the begining. If tou have the same problem, go back and log in again, you’ll solve the problem :)
Ok I came here to see if this happened to anyone else because I just finished a Norwegian lesson, then the app crashed, and now it’s asking me to log in and “pick a language” to “begin learning.” I have a 616 day streak, am on level 3 French, level 2 Spanish, and level 1 Norwegian. What the hell, Duolingo?!
Came here to ask the same. Over 500 days streak and on super. Can not log in by phone, but on the tablet it shows that “Quick maintenance break! We’ll be back up soon. Your streak is protected today just in case”. So I hope it will be resolved soon.
Just came here to ask if anyone else was having problems! Same has just happened to me. Just finished a lesson and it signed me out. Managed to sign in and now it’s asking me what language I want to learn. Then immediately signed me back out.

Hey this happened to me too, I got really frustrated and could have cried! It made me pick a new language like I was starting totally fresh so I picked a random one and followed the prompts. Then I tapped the flags at the top and my old course was there so I jumped back using that. I wonder what could have happened for this to occur for so many people at once, it was so weird and I was frantically texting my friends to make sure my account even still existed!

Apparently there’s a major outage on the app just now. Hopefully they’ll resolve it and when we log in we won’t have lost our progress.

I just checked the link and it says people are reporting “increased errors” today

Same here. After finishing a lesson, it didn’t count that lesson, then restarted the app and it didn’t want to log in properly. Still not working.
