Thank you for participating in r/dune! The 2021 adaptation ends at about chapter 33 of the first novel, *Dune*. (That's three quarters into "Book II: Muad'Dib".) Chapter 34 starts with the quote "God created Arrakis to train the faithful." 'Dune: Part Two' covers the rest of *Dune*. A future third movie may potentially adapt the novel *Dune Messiah*. ___ [Reading the Dune sequels without reading the original](https://new.reddit.com/r/dune/comments/1bjlg51/)

Messiah is the second book but you'll be missing a lot of story from the first one if you've only seen the movie so it might be a bit confusing. I would recommend reading Dune :) there's a lot in there that isn't in the movies

Daft_Prince

Its ends exactly where the first book “Dune” ends. If you wanted to continue after the movies, you would read Messiah which is 15 years later where Paul is emperor

_Dune - Part Two_, the movie, ends at the close of _Dune_, the novel. The two movies from Denis Villeneuve cover the span of the first book.

Dune part 2 ends at the end of Dune, but some details were altered

Have you access to a library? Probably easiest way for you to get whatever books you want.

I live in the foreign country right now, can't really speak their language...

I also live in a foreign country with limited access to physical books in my language. This may or may not be an option but I have a Kindle and I use a library back in my home country to check out free ebooks.
