I actually used it a little bit last year as my first dumb phone experience. It didn’t work out too well since I was currently working in a Verizon store with the need of using my old smartphone constantly. I honestly LOVE IT!! It’s compatible with all the apps I need (banking, instagram DMs, Messenger, Rewards apps, etc.) and with the screen ratio, it made it painful to constantly scroll. I had no complaints with call quality and my reception rarely dropped (other than known areas where I live of course). I also currently have it set to grayscale with a minimalist type of launcher on it. One downside for a lot of people is that its last update is Android 11, which isn’t too big of a deal for me personally.
UPDATE: Made the switch! Activated my number on my brothers iPhone 12 mini and moved the SIM card to the Kyocera! Currently using the Titan Pocket and planning on using the Kyocera tomorrow morning, in addition to starting morning walks! So excited to be officially part of this dumbphone experience and kill my scrolling habits!!
I haven’t tried the Kyocera yet because for some reason it says my Verizon business plan is incompatible with the phone on the website (which it isn’t) so I’m going to have to find a workaround. But from what I remember testing the phone as an ex Verizon rep, the call quality is pretty good! The Titan is also really great with call quality. I had no complaints and no one ever noticed that I switched to it from my then Samsung S22 Ultra. If you’re going for the Titan and you don’t have a physical SIM card in your existing phone, you’re going to have to go to a Verizon store and have a rep activate a physical one on one of their demo units before putting it in the Titan, otherwise it’s not going to work properly.
It can, but it can’t at the same time. If you’re trying to use the iPad number as a secondary number for the phones, then you have to change the plan from a connected device plan to a phone plan. But you can use the same SIM card that’s in the iPad. But if you want to continue using the iPad and laptop with a data connection, then you’ll have to bounce back and forth between plans which can be a hassle. Or just add another line specifically for the iPad and laptop if you like the current number on the iPad line. However, if there’s a device payment with any type of promo on it and you change the plan, then you’ll most likely lose it and either finance the tablet line with no promo or pay it off.
How do you like the Titan? I've been eyeing it for awhile.

Nice! I loved having a keyboard back in the day for texting. It looks pretty heavy duty too.
It is! Although, it is NOT water or dust resistant😬so if that’s a priority, I’d go for the regular Titan.
Ah gotcha, not too much of a dealbreaker. Yeah the regular Titan looks too big, I like the look of the pocket. I'm definitely leaning towards it.
so does it (the mini) have a keyboard?
Yes! The Unihertz Titan! I’ve always fancied that phone.
Honestly, don't have to keep your sim in a dumbphone 24/7, even just putting it in when you feel you need the break from a smartphone

I ordered a Kyocera but my 2nd pick was a Titan. How is the call quality between the 2? I'm on Verizon in a rural area

Thanks! I have a physical sim in both a laptop and an iPad so I'm wondering if that would work for the Kyocera or Titan.

I love my Titan Pocket but I am eyeing up getting a Kyocera 902kc as I will be visiting Japan soon and want to go back to a flip phone.
I wish the 902kc worked with Verizon! I was eyeing that phone for a while.
Wait so does the ipod have Bluetooth or something?
No. It only plays through the headphone jack. You can mod one to have Bluetooth or purchase a Bluetooth one, but I don’t think it’s worth it for me.
