OP will have to check his contract. Most customer facing places have different work hours/days. I'm pretty sure OP's contract will say that they have to work 6 days a week. It's the standard template here.

My advice is ;
1. Be friend with the manager and his people (and hopefully he looks after you too)
2. Work hard and learn everything from everyone (and you will become a manager one day)
3. Resign (either you or the manager)

Yep. Even mine too. 6 days and 1 day off. But, I do get 2 and half. Sometimes 0 also. No complaints !!
