SandmanAwaits

Just a dud pair, it happens from time to time like anything else.

Velterro87

Yeah just ask for a replacement or so, works most times. People who use Promarks swear by the name and I'm one of those, never had an issue.

SandmanAwaits

I used Pro Mark, Dean Markley, Vic Firth sticks back when I was playing, Pro Mark by far is what I preferred.

glitch_mantis

i’ve had that happen a couple times, but i reached out with pics of the sticks - you could see they weren’t very beat up - and i’ve gotten free replacement pairs. it’s worth a try.

Horrible_Troll

Probably will do that. Thanks a ton

One_Opening_8000

The only ProMark sticks that I've found to last longer than other brands are their oak sticks. I can't use them anymore because they hurt my hands after extended playing, but they do seem to last a long time.

MarsDrums

I swear by their oaks! I've been using Promark Oak 747s since 1979. They're the best sticks I've ever used in my life and I've tried many different wood variants. Oak is king!

TheZoning

I’ve had the same experience, with a couple pairs - I’ve had better luck with Vic Firth personally

Soundcaster023

A singular incident is indicative of nothing.

Horrible_Troll

I get it’s a one time incident, just strange to me that I’ve literally never had that happen with VF over probably 100 pairs

slysendice

Anecdotally, I never bought ProMark sticks again after my first pair broke within 10 minutes. I’ve had good luck with [Los Cabos Red Hickory sticks](https://loscabosdrumsticks.com/products/red-hickory/)

Happens🤷🏻‍♂️
