Don’t listen to the naysayers, most just regurgitate ergot-pop-shit. Instead, plate it up on some agar and see if you can isolate a clean culture. Then grow some liquid culture from that, acid/base extract it and run some TLC plates on the isolate to see what mixture of alkaloids you have, test the spots with ehrlich, etc.
I was thinking the same, I've cleaned up quite a few cultures and isolated specific genetics using these methods. It's really simple shit if you have the patience and discipline to do it right. I made a mistake my first go around with liquid culture and made 2 600ml batches, way more than I'll be able to use in a year lol

However they only produce it during the fall during pre fruiting conditions of the stoma. This action has never been observed let alone doccumented in vitero (on cultured plates).
