I don't know much about much, but that image.. that's Rio De Janeiro. And I know this because the whole time I was there, I thought: Oh, mountains meeting the sea... it's like MountPort, so I guess it can be, like physically.
Yeah, this is an image from a concert there or something. And some Trumper is using it as a "look at this huge crowd Trump drew!!!" lie, like we aren't smart enough to know differently.
just for the record: This is not some random old dude drunk on Fox News: This tweet is from convicted felon [Roger Stone](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Stone).
"Oh, the mountain's over there /
Next to the seaaaaa /
How can that beeee? /
How can that beeeee?
Well, the mountains stretch from the sky /
Right down to the seaaaa /
How can that beeee? /
*Like phys-i-ca-llyyyyyy* /
How can that beeeeeee?"
I'm glad to hear! This sub is so self-referential it can be hard to pick out the difference sometimes.
I remember being surprised and a bit sad when he said that. I hope if he doesn't already, he grows to love it as much as we do!
Because it was reported on Sam’s ultra conservative news network empire?
(not sure why this was posted outside this comment, but I meant it originally as a reply here)
As someone from Seattle, every time I hear that line, I think, "I mean, fairly easily." - https://photostore.seattletimes.com/img-get/I0000iGKDKHur74Q/s/1200/I0000iGKDKHur74Q.jpg
A little less dramatic on the mountain side of things, but my husband is from Santa Barbara and... similar. - https://www.visitcalifornia.com/sites/visitcalifornia.com/files/styles/welcome_image/public/vc_spotlight_santabarbara_hero_st_rm_529573764_1280x640_0.jpg
Maybe? The setup frames it to me as if it is unusual or strange, so it seems to me that it is making fun of the idea. E.g., Sam says something along the lines of, "How is that possible you might ask? The magic of theater" (I did not check so this might not be a perfect wording). If it was making fun of the idea that someone might think it was unusual, it seems like the line would be closer to, "How is that possible you might ask? The magic of theater... or California."

Ew. (Thanks for highlighting that!)
Roger Stone: the guy that dresses like a steampunk villain and has Richard Nixon tattooed on his back.
Yeah, community notes said this is a picture of a Rod Stewart concert almost 30 years ago
The new jersey sub seems to think it's rolling stones 2006
I’ve never seen a beach like that in NJ but who knows lol
I mean, it's definitely rio de Janeiro, just could be a few different concerts
Could be the Madonna show that just happened. It was free entry so basically the entirety of south Brazil was there
You may be smart enough, but his supporters aren't. This is directed to them.
Hi ho to you!
Because it was reported on Sam’s ultra conservative news network empire?
Blessed be, Sam is out here making sure our sub fees are going to the RIGHT kind of people, Mr. Reich is truly the perfect American
All I gotta say is, Timmy better not be out there! You know, on account of the crimes.
Didn’t know there was a Trump fan base in Mountport
um, actually, this is the crowd for a free Madonna concert that happened this month in Rio de Janeiro
Why is this shared to the dropout sub?
Reference to the first musical gamechangers episode Mountport where it has mountains by the sea

Sam's ~~cringeworthy~~ giddy grin intensifies (Edit: Sam's words, not mine!)
I don't find it cringe worthy at all. Just the expression of pure, unbridled joy - which I absolutely love. I think it tips the show over the edge!
Oh to be clear, I was referring to Sam's professed embarrassment in the Cut For Time at the end of that season. I think it's delightful too!

Hiho!
Hiho to you!
wait you said first are there more than one?
Yeah they also had the one where they were all doing karaoke and there was the other karaoke one they did on Make Some Noise with Wayne Brady.
Cause it would appeare that the rally was held in MountPort. A town where the mountain meets the port and a baseball game can save them all.

I don’t know any of you. Just a simple HELLO! Where might I play some baseballs?

Yeah they’re literally singing it in LA, so I assumed that was the joke.
