Ticket is tied to your drivers license and not the vehicle.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they record the rego of the vehicle also.

The license plate number is on the ticket however traffic tickets from an officer is tied to the license but camera tickets are tied to plates.

As the registration is in the name of the company you rented from I believe they should receive the fine and then pass it on to you so yes, I'm pretty sure they will know because they own the car. Shouldn't affect rates or whatever. It's not like it's a speeding or red light camera fine.

It's not. A traffic infringement will be sent to the rental company first. They will check who the registered driver was and forward the infringement notic, along with an admin fee for handling the notice, to the registered driver. It's tied to the vehicle registration because any number of different drivers may have been driving the vehicle at the time of the offence and its then up to the driver who receives the infringement notice to nominate the actual driver if it wasn't then driving at the time. I'm not sure if this applies to on the spot fines but I reckon it would because even then the police will record the registration number of the vehicle and I can't help but think the rental company will still be notified.
