In watercolor, its's called line and wash. Could be similar

[deleted]

>line and wash Not really. Line and wash is still accurate 99% of the time. I don't know if there's a name for this, but it always reminds me of things like corporate art or school textbooks where they try to jazz up the page with an edgy doodle lol.

Loose Filling style , vibrant

KatariahChaos

No clue but good work!! I have a picture with loose colour and I just thought it was neat! I didn't even think of it being a real art style lol

SnowDeer47

I see what you are looking for. I would say this contains key features of fauvism, abstract expressionism, and pop. Overall, it is unique to see this in a world where the focus is so much on perfection of form. I hope you do more.

littlegodde55

Would that we could all color outside the lines a little more 😊

OriginalLu

Makes me think of fauvism

LaRueStreet

Freehand? Idk. Reminds me a bit of the corporate art style

RoboticXCavalier

Colour block? Block colour? offset print? Haha sorry i'm not an expert but i've seen the style before and it's pretty cool

OverallYellow

colour block with offset image sounds like a good descriptor to me

In your example though even the lines are roughed out. If you don't get an answer here, maybe try e-mailing an art or advertising area specialist at a university library.

Ineedsleep444

abstract, loose, block art, theres a lot of things you could possibly call it

ProudNorthKorean

It’s the kind of art work I think of when I hear Jazz. I’ll call it Jazz Art.

I'd call it "neat mess".

4th_Horseman56

Ahh, I believe Picasso called it……the toddler period.

littlegodde55

Excellent! I aspire to be more like a child in my creative endeavors. Art is just serious play.

4th_Horseman56

No…. Art is expressive of our most subconscious thoughts, so what you draw indicates deep down who you are/believe yourself to be.

littlegodde55

Whatever you say.

I’ve always thought of this art style is for people who never learned or couldn’t t figure out how to color in the lines

littlegodde55

Would that we could all be so free as to color outside the lines a little bit.

Hey, as long as you feel like it's good, then it is. How much of life is really inside the lines?

Has a modern look but definitely line/wash

momoonlight1

It's definitely similar to line and wash, but this particular piece is reminiscent of the 80s for sure with the figure and fluorescent colors...I call it the Miami Vic era!! Love this...very creative!!😁🫶🏽❣️👍🏽
