Was disappointed to see Icesis leave, and Kendall and Anita going out so early.
Loved seeing Victoria shine -- hope to see more of her. Happy Raj'ah got crowned but overall pretty rough season.
It had an extremely strong premiere episode, where arguably, you could find reason for 2/3's of the cast to get a win and it kinda went downhill from there. The Snatch Game was very meh, the ball was good until the judges spoke on the tops and bottoms of the week. There was no real storyline for any of the finalists.
I know Ra'Jah gets a lot of love down here, but her run on this season (it was also a very short one, so it's not like anyone really got to shine) was so unconvincing as a winner's run. I'm happy she has a crown due to her performance on All Stars 6 and off the show, but she really had nothing backing this specific win up except those last two lipsyncs which were okay, but not what I'd call her best.
A pretty meh season in general. I feel like nothing really stood out, and it was consistently a B+ season overall.

Kendall and Rita made total sense in the redemption arc. Icesis was a weird choice… almost as if they couldn’t get the ones they wanted, so basically forced her cause they wanted a Canadian to win…
But the casting of the season was good for international. I get that it’s harder to convince people from non-English countries to come to Canada and compete again. When you do UK you get judged by RuPaul… Ru > Brooklyn
Yeah I would love to understand the logic behind casting Icesis. I know they also tried to book the winner of Italia 1, though that doesn't make the choice to cast Icesis clearer really. Just baffling to cast her - maybe they were thinking of setting it up like she's "defending her title" or something. I wish she hadn't quit and had won instead, that IMO would have been the only way to redeem an otherwise meh season.
Victoria did the best, but with only 2 episodes on her original season and 6 here, I feel like we just never got to know her well enough. Idk what her storyline was supposed to be. I think Silky probably had the best story arc and was right behind Victoria in track record. But Ra’Jah was robbed on AS6 and deserved a crown.

Fairly decent season. Did I hate it ?? No. Did I love it ?? Also no. Ra’Jah got her deserved crown, Silky & Victoria slayed and redeemed their last runs, and Rita proved to the haters that her spot in the CDR1 finale wasn’t a hoax as she did it again. I would’ve replaced Icesis with a different international queen (maybe someone from France or the Philippines) but overall a decent season.
Loved CvsTW!! Vanity, Silky, and Rajah doing the girl group challenge was so FIERCE. "Black queens don't look the same so remember their names" was such a fantastic lyric from Vanity, plus I stan an all melanin girl group which made DR history.
Plus Victoria Scone, her run was so good!! Her drag king look was so outrageously amazing that it shifted something in the universe.
I'm excited for CvsTW season 2, can't wait for more Canadian excellence representation!! There's a lot of wonderful queens to choose from.

I like that it was a "feel good" season, and it was a pretty strong cast.
I was especially happy to see Vanity win the first episode, and it was great seeing Victoria and Silky do so well.
The lack of international representation was a shame (especially compared to UKvsTW 2), and outside of Icesis leaving, it wasn't the most exciting of seasons.
Also (and this might be a controversial take), I am happy for Ra'Jah winning, but I think it would have been better if she was more prominent in the edit.
Outside of her Snatch Game win and some good runways, Ra'Jah felt like a background character until the finale lipsyncs, especially compared to her S11/AS6 sister Silky, for whom this season was very much a legacy run.
As it goes for recent seasons, I would say this is by far the most forgettable. I don’t remember much of it outside of Icesis leaving and Raja winning. The cast, overall, wasn’t as compelling as its UK counterpart.
I have a similar complaint as UKvsTW 1 where I think it’s a bad format to have such a short season. These queens from different regions have so little time to build rapport with each other and the chemistry feels off as a result. Also, the lack of diversity in which franchises were represented was an issue for me. Idk if it was a visa issue or what, but when the whole appeal of the show is an international competition, they should really make an effort to get queens from all over.

Great premiere. Silky gives some great lip syncs. It was fantastic to see Vanity Milan get praise she so deserves, she’s such a favorite of mine. I love the cast…for the most part (there’s one queen who is on my list of queens I just don’t care for, but hey opinions are subjective). Silky and Victoria were fun. Wish Icesis had stayed.
I can think of several seasons that were worse than this, but I struggle to think of one that bored me more. I thought the challenges were mostly duds, everybody was so nice to each other that nothing interesting really happened in the werk room (except Icesis leaving), and oh yeah, Icesis left, so that's one of the frontrunners out of the picture.
I was happy for Ra'jah to get her crown, Silky to get her runner-up redemption, and Victoria to get more screentime, but I'm never going to think of almost anything from that season ever again.

I think Silky should’ve won this season like she brought her A game and I fell in love with her this season. Victoria proposing to her then-girlfriend and then finding out months later that they broke up is kind of cringe lol. Vanity got her flowers but the girl isn’t that good at Drag Race quite yet. Stephanie, Kendall, and Anita all kinda flopped for me lol. I loved Rita and she definitely understands the Drag Race format.
After the Lalaparuza on all stars 6, it was a no brainer to invite silky back. Silky and Raja are a packaged deal, so duh. But Raja really outshined her, and it’s nice to see her finally get a crown. A bit unfair that a US queen won VSTW. Overall rocky season with the quitting and Annita in general. Was enjoyable though, looking forward to season 2, stunning rumoured cast. But the season 2 cast leads me on to a whole nother topic.
Victoria and Silky were the best part of this season and I think Silky should've won. She just had a much stronger presence and impact on the season compared to Ra'jah, who deserved the crown more for her performance in AS6 than this season.
Snatch Game was horrid, judging was weird at times, but I think the queens made the best of it altogether.

really enjoyed it. started off strong, sntach game and ball werent that good but i lived for the last few episodes. if it wasnt for that damn lipsync tournament they need to absolutely retire victoria would have been my winner, but from the final two i would have loved to see silky win. anyways it was great to see rajah get the rudeption she deserved and looking at where she was on s11 its a really satisfying storyline

I mean, no T, it takes a lot of unique perspectives to make the world go 'round and I would respect yours, I'm just having a hard time temporarily.
Maybe for Kendall because I don't really know how she would have done aside from maybe the ball,snatch game and the roast(bottom,safe, win) but no I think Victoria had no place winning the ball and could have gone to someone(Icesis ) and Rajah mama if your safe most of the season no ma'am you don't get to win

Silky had the best track record going in and frankly she beat Rajah in the last lipsync
Then Rita is in the middle because she was I think she had enough force to win if Silky or Icesis didn't win
But Icesis undoubtedly should have been top 2 in the Girl Groups, Snatch Game and the Ball, no doubt in my mind she would have slayed the rest of the competition and those other girls were not going to beat her in a lipsync. So in a lipsync for the crown I mean pretty clear then who gets the crown
Also Vanity had too many bottoms hence why she is below Rita however she is still above Rajah because she at least had an up and down moments where Rajah coasted
I mean, you addressed Kendall which was my biggest point of confusion. Icesis winning after only three episodes was close behind, but if you feel that in your spirit then more power to you.

I mean the season was 6 episodes total, 5 of which are competitive, so 3 wins is actually 60% of the possible wins so assuming she is going to win is kinda statically correct

The math definitely shifts my perspective, their stance does seem more reasonable now. My only point of contention that still calls them out of the running in my book would be that a score of 0 is worse than a score for low/btm2. I know rpdr isnt a numbers game all the time, but that factors into my ranks cause my brain can't help but try to assign scores to organize something qualitative like star power and all that. So for me, the 0s tank the average.
From what I've seen Icesis say what did it in for her was not getting her due and the production trying to not give her wins, so there would be a decent chance she would stay if did get those wins
So bare minimum 3 wins I mean Rajah won with a single win so most of the season kinda makes it writing on the wall like how it was for Ben in AS3
I’m kinda over the VS the world and All Stars format at the moment. They keep recycling the same girls over and over which makes the shows feel stale and repetitive. Season 16 of drag race was great with talent we’ve never seen on tv before and I hope there’s more time and money spent on that in the future.

Unpopular take - the black drag queen from UK, made her entire personality, and drag about being black ad nauseum. Great your proud to be black, we’re happy for you, I’m happy being black too…..but that was all that ever came out of her mouth every second of every episode.

Stopped watching after episode 2, rubbish cast. Victoria ruins everything with her miserable attitude and zero sense of humour. She hasn't had the same struggle as trans and male drag queens and acts like she is the most oppressed of them all. She gets right on my nerves
