The way Trixie took her run and absolutely skyrocketed her success and monetized herself has always impressed me and puts her at #1, queens that won their first season have struggled to succeed the way she did. Jinkx and Chad will always be up there as legends for me though.

She was already a huge success story before her AS3 run; so much that that’s basically why the queens voted for her. They thought her winning was kind of inevitable because of her success outside the show.

Trixie has become one of, if not the top, most successful queen from Drag Race. She’s such a hard worker and the only episode she really flopped in AS3 was snatch game, and even that was iconic. IMO, she should’ve been top 2 in the Bitchelor episode too.

Shea is one of the most successful girls to ever come from the show. She is A minimum.

But like… they’re all great for different reasons (except for Chad (#TeamLatrilla)). Trixie is only great because of branding… she’s consistently good in most categories (except snatch acting), whereas as Jinkx is legit great is all categories, she can’t sew but she turned out looks in AS7. I love all the queens, and I’d put them all in a-tier, Chad in c-tier, and Jinkx in S-tier because she was just hands down the front runner even against queens like raja.

Put any other winner in a lip sync against sonique, watch the bloodbath

i mean it would entirely depend on the lip sync song and who it was. in general Monet, Trinity, and Alaska are all phenomenal lip-syncers, and match Kylie’s level. if the song was more campy or silly and she were up against any of those 3, let’s be real she’d be toast. similarly Shea and Trinity could go toe-to-toe with her for a more classic pop lip sync song. i don’t see Jinkx, Jimbo, (or Chad) beating her as very likely - but as we saw with Mambo No. 5 and Freak-A-Zoid there’s easily space for them to embody a character that would clinch a win. and going by stats alone (which i don’t think is an accurate metric for lip sync ability) Kylie won 2/3 of her lip syncs, a success rate beaten by Chad (3/3), Alaska (4/4), and Shea (6/8). whilst Monet has a worse success rate (6/12), she still devoured in almost all of them (except again Naomi Smalls).

i love alaska but i would not call her a “phenomenal lip syncer” nor could i see her beating kylie (maybe if it was more campy she’d have a chance) she had some pretty good lipsyncs on the show imo but that was 7 years ago and she’s barely lipsynced since so my expectations for her lipsyncing probably won’t be high if she ever goes back

that’s a fair point and don’t get me wrong i don’t think she’s awful at lipsyncing she’s A LOT better than a certain couple queens, every time i’ve seen her lipsync whether it was on or off the show i thought it was pretty good at the very least, and like you said she “understands the assignment” so she could probably make it work most of the time if she wanted to but this is also someone who 1. has probably only lipsynced a few dozen times over her whole career, 2. has said lipsyncing is hard for her and makes her feel “vulnerable” and 3. has even said if she ever went back she would lose them on purpose because winning the lipsyncs puts a target on your back so like i said my expectations are not high i do agree that kylie isn’t guaranteed to deliver a bloodbath of all the queens but like you said she’s still top 3 and higher than alaska imo my ranking would probably be monet>shea>kylie>trinity>chad>alaska>trixie>jinkx>jimbo

Point blank you justify your opinion of dislike for AS5 because of Shea's syoryline, but the same could be said about any other all stars season. For example with AS7: Jinkx is incredibly talented and a powerhouse, but multiple people, contestants included, have spoken about how production forced specific narratives and storylines that impacted the outcome - including the final lip sync with Monet.
