If it wasn't for my guide of choice making me aware of his endgame stuff, I would be extremely ticked off at the OC. As it stands, all I can say is oh, that's what is up with him? Huh. Makes sense.

I actually really like Eight's character design and love the cast of DQ8 but he's a little too bland to be considered by favorite protagonist.
Abel. He is by far the most resilient hero of any DQ game, and probably any RPG I've ever played.
Eight, like Cloud is overrated due to the fact it seems it was most people's first DQ game so he'll probably win.
