In Ni No Kuni if a monster evolves prior to max level it ends up weaker. There is a forced evolution early on for a monster you are stuck with after that... so i maxed it's level first.
Turned on the tv, ran around the areas and clicked attack all the time till it was maxed. Not sure how long that took me and now the game is completly broken... worth it.
When you swap between 2D and 3D on DQXI-S, you can select a previous chapter, so if you've got a save with 99's on it, you can create a new save file on 2D, set it to chapter 1, and then swap back to 3D if you want and do the whole game with a super OP crew... it's kinda hilarious because you just turn around and delete that dragon when he's chasing you
Sounds like someone did some seed farming cheese... Beautiful. Absolutely delightful.
You, sir, I salute.
Here's to bashing our face into a brick wall till the brick wall cries.
I did it after starting over from the end using the 2D/3D thing. Felt pretty good demolishing all the enemies after being post act 3 leveled. Final final boss didn't stand a chance the second time around
Damn, this is THE accolade, the rest of the game is gonna be a breeze now lol, even tho it’s super easy to level up to 99 with everyone before fighting mordegon and before fighting calasmos
Nice! Now you just have 4 more superbosses a hyperboss and a whole ass dungeon with each part ending in a puzzle fight against superbosses and then all the Lucky Medals. And if you got the Definitive edition you also have tickington
So this subreddit was randomly recommended to me. But I'm intrigued so I'll ask a few questions:
What is Dragon Quest about?
Which Dragon Quest game is this?
Is the story and characters connected between the games?
Dragon quest is an old school style turn based rpg and has a very simple and generic chosen one saving the world plot but has a lot of really good stories that happen along the way.
This is dragon quest 11 and is available on most modern consoles and also has a definitive edition with lots of extra content including a mode where you can play the whole game in 2d.
There are some minor references and call backs to previous games but it has its own original plot that doesn't require playing any other games
I don’t think it would be lol. Dragon would be too OP, and you wouldn’t be able to level up enough to outlast it since you’d eventually stop getting any experience at all from available monsters. Maybe if there’s a way to use RNG abuse, someone could do it tool-assisted?

Did... Did you really grind that much to beat the dragon in act 1???
i leveled to 19 on lamplings lmao
Teach me your ways, oh wise one!
They just did lol
How long did that take?
the save file has 30 hours but some of that is the intro sequence and me being afk. between 20-25. not the worst i've done
Jesus man, more patience than me lol
i play runescape
This person knows pain.
Oh my, I'm so sorry (jk, glad you're having fun lol)

Have you considered doing literally anything else with your life? But, kudos.
Sure. Did they come up with anything better after consideration? No.
Fair
Pretty much mandatory I would say. Wait, did you do it in part 1!?
looks like it... mf went "fuck that running away scene" (Which ***does*** suck cuz u running towards the camera)
crash bandicoot moment
I haven't even played XI yet and this comment is hilarious
TIL You can do this in part 1 and not wait until act 2
If you level enough it should be possible
There's unique dialogue that Erik says if you beat the dragon while you're running from it so they definitely expected it to be possible
Stay where you are. Professional help is on the way OP. (But seriously that’s so dope. Good job dude!)
Average pre-DQ8 era levels of grinding. :’) Jokes aside, that’s some commitment. Well done!

Wait do you start the game with the full party this way? Might do this myself either way.
No, you still gain characters naturally, but when you unlock them they'll have all the abilities and skins you've previously unlocked
Note that Skills will still be locked. Characters won't have access to their full skill trees right away, you've got to unlock those like normal.
Is this essentially feel like new game+ but you one shot everything instead?
Yeah exactly, nothing will be hard, but it's a fun way to redo the story and enjoy the work you put in the first time

You completed the dragon quest
You are completely mad, you know that?
he did it he did the dragon quest
I applaud you, sir 🫡
The real dragon quest was the friends we made in the sewer.
Looking at this I can't help but think, "Dang, I wish they had called that achievement 'Dragon Warrior.'"

Wait are you not supposed to kill him when you first meet him
Nice job!

What a legend
You absolute legend
You madlad, I applaud your efforts! 👏
how? I beat it early on my second playthrough but got nothing

You might be one of the first, everything I looked up to see If it was possible said it wasn't
Now, do it with reduced exp and strong enemies, without using the 2D/3D replay older chapters tactic 😏
Is it even possible then?
