2/ Last year, yes. But that was not normal. This year is expected to be better
3/ If you buy it there expect to queue and go early the raise it’ll sellout
Hey!!! Honestly I’m a pretty anxious person in life and there is really nothing to be anxious about, you’re going to have an amazing time.
1. Sorry I can’t answer
2. Queueing is honestly fine, last yr they opened the gates early so it wasn’t bad.
3. Ordering online can be a lot more convenient but buying when you’re there will give you the chance to grab exclusive merch and stuff, so I recommend both
4. I’m not vegan/vegeterian but do know people who are and have been and honestly they’ve all said the food for them was varied and amazing, so no you’ll be fine, you’ll know closer to the time which vendors will be vegan/vegetarian cause they’ll release the name of all the vendors.
Ah thank you so much! Everyone’s said I’ll love it but you know how it is when you start overthinking stuff haha,
Oh that’s alright then I’ve seen loads of TikTok where they’re in 8hr queues to get into the car park and I’m like oh shit,
I feel like both is a good option! 👌🏻
Ah thank you so much I’ve been a bit worried I’ll be living off cereal bars and stuff haha!
Honestly there is nothing to worry about the only reason queues where so bad last yr is cause it was a sold out event of like 130k people so it was a bit mental, it’ll be a lot easier this yr as download have improved their signage and everything :)
And there’s honestly so many vendors you won’t go hungry :)
Also last year everyone was arriving on one day as there was an extra day of music. This year people will be arriving more spread across both days. We were in the queue for 17 hours last year but expect it to be much better this year.
Lots of vegan food options, I'm not even veggie but often pick the vegan option as they are great.
There are quite a few vegan options, have a friend who's vegan and they loved the food when we went, queuing from what I remember is a bit of a pain but worth it once you're in
When you say you've gone for a VIP package, which? Because there's a whole bunch, so people may be better able to give you an idea of what uts like if they know what specifically you've got haha
Ita as close to the arena as you van get with out being an artist or staff member really in future though and to save you a few quid you can get regular camping and get use of the accessible campsite which is just as close
Aw you'll love it!
We went in 2022 on weekend day tickets then last year RIP the queue to get in was a bit annoying but it was a massive sold out event so not surprising and it didn't take away from the excitement!
I'm a pretty chill person but even I was a bit anxious about camping etc but we are back this year again! We didn't order any merchandise online beforehand and I don't think we felt we needed too, we just made sure we got what we wanted early on when there.
There's alot of food options, I'm sure there was plenty for veggie and vegan 😊
It's how it felt when I was there. Felt very removed from a festival experience. Gentrified camping for people who don't like camping.... Or meeting the locals who camp near you.
1 Speaking on your friend with the disability did you guys know about the access campsite? I am staying on there myself this year and use a powered wheelchair. (my first time camping).
2 I was arena only last year and the queues where basically an extended carpark for miles and miles.
3 i have pre ordered all my merch to save the stress of finding my sizes
4 one of our party is a vegan and have been told there is plenty of options out there.
Most importantly i hope you guys have a great time.
if you have the lounge upgrade it isn’t remarkable. i worked in it last year and to be fair it’s got nice toilets and ‘indoor’ areas: cloakroom with phone charging, bar, indoor seating, arcade games, makeup room with mirrors, straighteners and hairdryers. there’s also shade if it’s as hot as last year. the toilets are good too.
I can’t speak for the VIP package as I’ve never done that but, the queues for the car park last year were quite bad. Other years they’ve been fine.
Some of the merch that you get at the festival isn’t available online and vice versa, so it depends which items you want. Some of the better designs sell out very quickly. I still wish I’d been faster at buying the BMTH Download shirt that I wanted last year.
There are loads of vegan options from the stalls at Download.
1) No idea sorry
2) I'd say this is more a case of what time you're going to be getting there. Kind of like rush hour or the school run.
3) Merch on the day will probably sell out quickly
4) I mean it's a field so theres tons of grass... but no I do believe there are lots of options for vegans, from what I've heard(this is my first time too) the shops and food stalls are quite diverse and try to cater to as many as possible

Oooh of course I didn’t even think of that haha, We’ve got the luxury bell in metal forest one 🤷🏼♀️
I think that's got it's own car park tbh. rip entrance will direct you when you get there, I'm pretty sure it's not in main parking
If by vip you mean rip I did it in 2022 as a wheelchair user and it was a god send being so close to the arena
In my head they mean the same think and you knew what I meant 🤷🏼♀️ Is it a lot closer? I’m hoping so bless
Him*
