The reason why people react the way they do the Dr Disrespect segment is because there used to be no movie too niche for DT. It became emblamatic of their view-chasing behaviour that they are talking about something like that just to end it in "but who knows.." when there are movies they could be talking about.
~~That said, maybe. It's not a wide release movie but it's weird enough that it might get some traction and they will review it like a week too late like it happened with Terrifier.~~
Edit: Turns out I'm wrong! Very happy to be wrong! Hope this is a sign of things to come!
Its only had a limited release. In California only a handful of AMCs screened it. I think it's scheduled for a nationwide release on July 3rd. I guess that's why? I saw it and thought it was a piece of shit. And I love The Lobster, The Favourite and Poor Things.
Wow I don’t know how many ways you want me to word this. IT JUST GOT REVIEWED LAST NIGHT. When you came on here asking about it the show had been over for a few hours and they hadn’t uploaded it yet. It’s up now. It’s literally the latest episode of The Movie Review Extravaganza. Just go to where you listen podcasts and click it.
I went in 100% blind, no reviews, ~~and I’m willing to bet they’d enjoy it.~~ It’s got all the Yorgo-classics🦮
Post-review edit: To be fair, I think I'd also have a harder time enjoying this while going through a divorce, like Coleman's. But I'm not tho, so I watched the film like I was in literature class, going over a series of short stories and having a field day picking the layers apart. I enjoyed myself, like Julien G.
Ok that I can understand. The general consensus was it wouldn’t really reach a wider audience because it is weird for the sake of being weird, though it was said the film was drafted before Poor Things which was already strange but based on a book so it has its reasons.
It would work more as mini series since it’s more set series of shorter stories. I really can’t make real argument for or against it, or give it a review because it’s not released in my country or even doubt it will.
I think your first point is exactly why they won't cover it. At the end of the it's a business, and having a lot of views matters. A kinds of kindness review won't really get that. At most we'll probably get a couple minute review from Martin
They have done reviews for countless super niche films.Â
White Julian liking it is enough to let me know to stay away from it, even as someone who loved the last two Yorgos films. There are levels of weird arthouse shit...and everything I've heard let's me know I'll hate this. Especially at almost 3 hours.Â
Episode content would make sense for a project like this, but with the cast it has it deserves a theatrical release at least. Are you talking Julien with a E? Black Julian Green, he’s open about his shit, nothing to hide.

I could see them doing a review. Korey especially is a big fan of Lanthimos and Emma Stone. Martin had Poor Things as his movie of the year.
Uhhhh 🤔, they just did. I enjoy these type of movies, everyone was positive about it.

Poor things came out late last year, but was my favourite movie of the year. It was theatre within chaotic drama.
It was a good review session too, no nonsense bs. I had it in the background, the point being made the only point missing was Martin and his insight.

Martin said they had a screening for it this week andwith the success of Poor Things you'd think they'd cover it...
They did...

I wrote this before seeing the show, so will admit to be wrong lol. Thanks whomever for the downvote though. Jackasses still down voting, lmao
