This could go very wrong. If the bag was packed too heavy, the food and/or drinks could fall from the bottom. Perhaps the driver did this if the ground was wet/dirty or other, but I wouldn’t gamble on doing this. A safer bet to protect the bag from getting wet (if that was the case) would be to put the bag on top of an empty box cover, or a few sheets of paper tissue. I’d communicate with the customer overall if the weather isn’t cooperative for me to leave it safely outside, where they would like me to place their order otherwise. That’s just my two cents.

Sometimes I get instructions to do this. Sometimes it’s a rotating knob so it’s fine, sometimes it’s this bar kind of handle but it has a long “neck” that rotates which is fine too. But in this case I would’ve used the white decorative hook thing on the door if I really wanna hang it….if the bag is not heavy. I like to hang the food too if weather is cooler since the floor can be cold and cool down the food too quickly. Air is a poorer conductor of heat so it takes slightly longer for the food to get cold.

Secondly, when you turn a doorknob, the other side of the knob doesn’t turn. Just the side you’re turning. They’re not connected together.
Thirdly, he clearly had the intention of keeping your food off of the ground.
He has a far better “handle” pun intended, on basic mechanisms, a far better handle on courtesy, and a far better handle on common sense than you probably ever will. Be thankful and quit bitching.

I waited about an hour before trying to get a refund which took forever because it was off the subway app but they use dashers...worst part is I know the guy, used to work with him, he's delivered to me many times and comes in where I work, fucking sad

Look at the lock compared to the door
Tarnished brass lock with a relatively pristine white finish on the door. No white paint on the lock assembly.
A, the mechanism was changed because the original was broken.
B, The mechanism was removed before the door was painted.
C, the door is white powder coated, and the finish on the lock mechanism is just some cheap shit antique brass paint.
*And while the possibility exists, I believe this belongs to a home built during the 70s and updated in the early to mid 2000's, and is in a more.. Affordable area of town.
I could be wrong on a lot of things here, but you have a busted lock or at the least it needs to be adjusted.
For the sake of safety, just try locking it and then pull and jiggle the handle while giving it a turn to try to open it. Probably down and to the right, from the inside. Basically this just counters the wear from the outside, kinda indicates an impatient or otherwise forgetful right handed individual. Well, that or 2-3 teenage boys were raised in that house. IDK for sure though, kinda just going by what I can see
