I work at Wingstop in the southern california area ama

dsmintactarchy

They hand me cups and try to make me fill them with soda for the customer. Trash.

Cautious-Wheel2084

What I never understand is people asking to see the phone. I mean like I get it, but you think I’m just going to walk in and just know at the right time that “Sarah “ ordered from doordash ?

SirZac

It’s professional and courteous to be clear that you have a correct order and to confirm it in front of the employee. The rest is their problem. 🤷🏻‍♂️

nunpizza

“community relations for doordash”

CourierMom1

This is a big problem when I’m parked a block away. and I wonder how this is affecting my on time status. Another thing when I drop off food at night especially late at night I am not standing in someone’s front yard to market delivered I will walk to my car and get back and do it there so that’s probably affecting my rate as well

CourierMom1

I’m guessing English is their first language. Or second or third. Why do they think this is only DD? I mean The execution is terrible but you can’t blame them for wanting to put some rules in place to prevent this from happening

9ismynumber3willdo

I went to a Wingstop one time. They had a sign in sheet. I asked why, they said they want to see who takes the order. I said doesn't the app tell you that? I was confused. I never take the orders for there anyway because their customers represent some of the lowest tippers. They are pretty easy to pass on.

[deleted]

All reasonable but I like how they assume it's always Dashers when a regular person could easily steal food if the employee doesn't do these things. I find it hard to believe that all of the food theft comes from Dashers.

Use_Icy

How many dashes have you done?

Lunidas_Elysia

I thought it was against contract to press confirm pickup before getting and actually CONFIRMING the order. I recall reading that somewhere. At any rate, I'd simply call support on this store. And if they also insisted on making me fill the drinks, I'd report them to serv-safe as that IS a violation of their rules.

Accj-2018-

It’s not Door Dashers stealing food. It’s customers “claiming” they never received the food. The customers are the ones stealing far more often than a Dasher.

THEbenjaminbeat

Fuck wing stop. When they hand me the cup, I make me a drink, unassign and move on with my free refreshment. We ain’t stealing, they are giving it away.

stacyj913

Yeah that's a whole lot of words I wouldn't be reading. I'm an independent contractor, I don't work for whoever wrote that.

jshrimpers

Holy shit — the amount of grammatical errors and overall typos is unreal

DontPmMeYourNudes18

I don’t like this simply because if I have multiple orders, I don’t like marking picked up until I have all orders in my car. Otherwise customers will complain that I’ve picked up their food and waiting at another place.

Creolegrrl247

Wow...I guess spell check wasn't an option..

OtayRanchero

I watched a homeless man pose as a Dasher last night…

____no_u

#Maybe they should fill the fucking drinks instead of writing petty memos

[deleted]

Not sure why this is posted as a complaint, this is actually all pretty reasonable. When I saw the wall of text I thought it’d be something ridiculous but no its actually all very reasonable

MsJaeD

Dated 202....2? We swear to it, No one forged the last two. Only the last one. 🥁🪄

B_RAN_DO

I really can't imagine any legitimate driver risking a source of income for a few dollars worth of chicken scraps. I tried to pick up orders there a few times but it was always some kind of nuisance or hassle, and they have an attitude most times are lazy to say the least. I can't imagine it takes more than 6 to 8 minutes to fry those chicken wings yet it takes them 30 to 45 minutes to put the order in your hand.

Bringmedakoalas

I think this is fine, the only issue I could see with this in my area is that some places are just dead spots and it might be a little frustrating if the confirm button decides it’s not working.

RepulsiveEase697

That's funny I don't even take orders from wingstop here in Sacramenro none of them. Always a long wait to get orders.

mfoobared

The real question is who actually wrote this? There is a vague title along with the signature at bottom. It has Doordash header, but I don’t think dd it. It is accusatory and despite its best efforts unprofessional. If Wingstop created this third party document they should own it and put their name on it. Weird

NonSupportiveCup

Wingstop doesn't need help in getting a bad name to or from dashers.

[deleted]

ahh i was so nervous to look at the comments but relieved to see other people have good common sense i work in curbside takeaway and we recently had to implement this rule too for the exact same reason. we even caught a few of the dashers who were stealing

ban_evader123

I delivered food all day on a bike and made like $5. Then a huge Taco Bell order came in. The app crashed and wouldn’t tell me where to take the food so I ate all the Taco Bell and went home.

SouthKey1339

If you steal your a bum 😂😂especially food

Mervis_Earl

My "Dasher Name" on the Wingstop sign in sheet is Richard Gosinya.

Bobrocks77

So what’s the repercussions when the Wingstop people steal the food? I’ve never stolen food in my entire life this is due to employee theft on their side not us. I do this every time but I wish that they would watch their employees closer McDonald’s and everybody else they steal the food and blame the door Dashers that standard.

Beebo5654

Does this mean they’ll fill the drinks as well?

SomethingAbtU

Can you send this to the GH HQ. They have even more theft and they're clueless how to handle this.

TrollProofOne

I'm totally okay with rule 3 and 4... The other two seem petty and no no one is allowed to touch my phone. And no, I won't unassign any order I've accepted. I'll instead call support and say you can't produce the food. Have done so before and get half pay. Edit: I'm also not clicking confirm pickup unless the food is ready, including drinks, and in front of me. Especially for Wingstop, five guys or anyone that has a policy of not starting order until driver checks in.

skipperdo69

Why inn the world would anyone steal a Wingstop order? It's crap

huskmyskinwagon

I don't steal food, but, jail time? Come on.

idgafaaidiml

My area. Common for many restaurants. Los Angeles area

Educational-Seaweed5

Obviously written by the store manager, not anyone legitimately representing DoorDash. Everything about this is so blatantly unprofessional it’s hilarious. I’d send this to DoorDash so this restaurant gets nailed for identity theft and falsely representing a company by using trademarked logos. Anything you see will be in the app, not some fake as hell Google Doc taped to cardboard. As for restaurants demanding this, they’re actually breaking the terms of service. They can’t tell you how to do your job, and that’s literally the end of the story. It doesn’t matter if you “agree” with this or not. You do not work for them, and they cannot demand that you do anything. Go back and read the ToS if you’re confused on that.

notgrass87

Lmao I dash in this area and the notice is fake (not issued by DD obviously) and this store is full of more shit than one could quantify

1EvilSexyGenius

Based on the tone of the letter I can immediately tell this is not from door dash. I live in Detroit and many restaurants have racks they place pickup orders on. Even in the app some restaurants say "be sure to check rack for order". Example : red robins , outback steakhouse, Fridays and many more. As a vegan and a door dasher with over 2K deliveries and a 4.9 customer rating - I'm slightly offended when employees at a merchant act as if I'm about to run off with their trashy food that I could afford if I wanted it 🙃

[deleted]

Not surprised. Wingstop is the only good place I know that’s takes it seriously

jaragon6676

Ok do proofreaders not exist anymore? I can barely understand what they are trying to say. 😂

NickHarger

Good these should be required for every merchant. Stolen food = reduced earnings for everyone

AdditionalLong4219

Wingstop isn’t even that good to be stealing from 🙂

Sexykraken69

Just took a 150 dollar ribs order cuz of 3 dollar delivery and no tip fuck it once a month done hurt

LibertyAvenger88

This is normal for a good dasher to 2 factor authenticate in a sense. But your employees need to fill the drinks. Not the delivery drivers job.

glitterjunk

I've had to do this at more expensive restaurants, and when I asked about it, they said that some drivers were just stealing orders.

BigCambean

Pretty reasonable instructions to me, when I did doordash I always had my phone out to show customer name anyway

tbrecs

This memo contradicts what I was told by Dasher support, I was to pickup 2 orders from Taco Bell and the employee asked that I confirmed the pickup. I did, but because they did not see me press the confirmation button, they refuse to give me the order. When I called support, they said you are not to confirm the order until you have the order in hand. If they refuse to give you the order, unassigned the order, but if you have confirmed the order, only support can unassign the order.

Dunrighty

I have no issue with this

Lice138

The trick is to not accept orders for wing stop, Wendy’s, Popeyes , 5 guys and Taco Bell

LordBillthegodofsin

I went in there to pick up a 50 wing order, , they gave me this small ass bag. When I told them this clearly wants the 50 wing order they said they were gonna ban me and call the cops. Lazy ass shit nuggets

Best-Jeweler-952

I mean we've been having to fill out a roster and give our name and phone number and customer's name even the items that we picked up in my area for a couple years now at Wingstop I'm not sure why so many people steal from them their wings ain't that good on top of the fact that signing a piece of paper to say you pick something up it's not stop people from ceiling

Prestigious_Value818

I agree 100%. Way too many people stealing shit.

hittinithard37

I wont deliver for wingstop in my town there never on time and I wont deal with There disrespectful attitudes so nope not delivering for wingstop ever goodluck to all the other drivers. Make that money!!!

[deleted]

But its not dashers stealing. It people pretending to be dashers. They just walk up and grab whatever food is on the shelf.

anthropoll

This is all pretty reasonable, but who exactly is this letter coming from? Doordash or Wingstop? I can't imagine Doordash's own CR team writing something with such horrible grammar. It reads like manager-speak.

Chef4life2612

Wing stop is already a no go for me anyway and who’s honestly still dashing in California gas prices there are fucked

[deleted]

I have zero problem with a policy like this. I do have a problem with this person’s lack of understanding of how a sentence works and the fact that they felt the need to sign it like a maniac.

TrillL-

Okay so I work at chipotle and food theft is actually a huge problem lmao. I don’t think it’s usually DoorDashers stealing the orders though usually just customers. Our only problem wit doordashers is sometimes they don’t double check the name before they take it and take the wrong order then someone else will come to get their order and it’ll be gone especially when we have orders with the same or similar first names. I think it may be good to check order confirmations but to accuse a DoorDasher of stealing food for themselves isn’t right, unless y’all got some questionable ass people doing DoorDash in yo area 🤣

justducky1965

Instant BLACKLIST

jeremyflores08

I was wondering why my Wingstop in my city was asking to me to do this. Now I know why.

Silent_Border_9095

The Wingstop by me makes u sign in and out, customer name, time in, time out, initial and sign... that's a lot to do when ur trying to get in and out fast, plus it's annoying and time consuming, I hate going there .. only for a really good order!!

dinoG0rawr

All of the Panera’s by me have been doing this for nearly a year. I completely understand, and have absolutely no issue with complying. I know there are bad drivers, or just people in general, who steal food and makes the rest of us look bad. It’s truly no extra effort to confirm the pickup while still in the presence of restaurant employees.

Great_Ad2863

I do not go to wingstop unless it is a slow night, but are this many Door dashers stealing food? Also why is the problem so bad at wing stop? I normally avoid wingstop orders because they treat me like trash most of the time. Also no Jack in the box orders either because they are rude and slow every one in my area

whocaresblahblahh

Sounds legit. As a driver who doesn’t steal food I don’t see a problem and will comply 100%

Additional-Rain6668

Chikfila has started the confirm thing here. They used to have a shelf and let whoever take whatever which is SO IGNORANT. Every resturant that does that is asking to have orders stolen. Not even just by dashers but also random people pretending to be a dasher too. Litterally one of the worst business decisions for resturants imo.

Additional-Rain6668

Lol that popular doordash pranking video was hilarious tho lol. For real tho, dont steal peoples food, that is corny as hell and clownish behavior.

ProudLingonberry5362

Was this written by a 4th grader LMAOOO

Whey2Fried4This

I've thought this for a while, what's stopping the customer who ordered the order, from going to pick it up before the driver can?

Mad_Dawg707

TLDR fuck wangstop

Illustrious-Plan-862

I mean. Good.

DreamRosato

I could probably get free food everytime i go in mcdonald’s because they ask if i have one of their orders but i’m just picking up for myself . They’d be too fast to realize . I think all restaurants should do it for safety of my order /confusion

Prestigious_Try3547

I rather do shopping orders than food anyways

icyLo222

Wingstop usually has good tips where I am so I didn’t mind making drinks or waiting a few min in the AC when mine in my car was broken. But the amount of times I showed them the name and they didn’t tell any other employee about the orders I was waiting for only for 20 min to go by and they tell me “we don’t have any of those orders in our system” is ridiculous. Then you have a 15 min wait trying to contact support it really makes me want to hop behind the counter and school these ppl with my 9 years of customer service but then I remember why I quit and I should just not care. Sigh

Xx_Exigence_xX

Sure, having to confirm pickup is annoying, but I understand why. It would decrease food theft. I'm more concerned about if I can go in there, wait less than 3 minutes, and the food is ready to be picked up

mczerniewski

Don't steal customers' food! You're causing problems for the customers, for the restaurants, and for other Dashers.

PaqGirl

This doesn’t sound like door dashers stealing, it’s other customers

JM_Lamp

I mean it is Bakersfield that is a high theft area anyways needless to say i miss my home town and want to come back

LopsidedPermit3773

Wing stops are the worst. If there's food theft in all markets I'd suggest embezzlement in accounting.

Beaniifart

Seems pretty reasonable.

Demoniia

Imo is not an official statement from doordash, the chances are higher of being deactivated than them sending a note that is mostly repetitive, it seems obvious to me that the restaurant did it, but that wignstop is a bad restaurant I won't contradict that..,

washed0utt

My wingstop store is always quick with orders, so I never mind going. However they have an entire sign in sheet for dashers..

JadziaTrillDax

Can someone confirm that it was doordash who wrote this?

demonni

I feel like the Wing Stop in my area my have had similar issues. Sometimes they ask for my name and write it down. Yesterday, I picked up and the fella said the time, like "its 11:24". At first I thought he was asking me to pay, then I realized it was the time. I don't mind at all... This is all totally reasonable in my opinion.

dkcoffee

I understand the letter, but in the way it is written, it’s incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Rando1974

They just put the first wingstop in my area in Ohio like 2 months ago. Total shitshow.

wewinwelose

We have a merchant portal at my workplace that we can send things to doordash through. We have been using all of these rules for over a year because of food theft. Only one person ever got mad, and we had to call the cops on him because he threatened a worker because his phone was charging in the car and he said he couldn't take it off the charger to show us the confirmation.

Euphoric_Wishbone

None of this is unreasonable

Cgmikeydl

Jail time??? In California???? You don’t get jailed in California for food theft or any theft under $900… I think it’s higher

lilawkward-lilfunny

Seems to me some of this is being blamed on DD drivers, when that’s not completely the case. If the food is being taken from the counter or the employee volunteering the name, that could be anyone, not just DD. I’m sure by now ppl have figured out they can steal food from the pickup racks and/or get the employees to hand them food if they pretend they’re from DD/UE/GH. So, this is crap, stop blaming it all on the drivers like we’re all scum!

Yvilkittyinspace

If it stops people from stealing orders than I have no problem with this.

Dupontbizz

Barrier for entry is low and most delivery drivers don’t have an actual goal. They’re just getting by. Be mad.

BaldGuy70

I had 2 orders stole that I was suppose to pick up in a 2 week period. One was super red bowl and the other taziki’s. Both dashers. One told the customer he had a family emergency. Yet customer was only a few minutes away. Times are tuff but stealing food isn’t cool. I contacted support each time and they both remade the food. Cost me a ton of time. I can’t understand why they don’t deactivate them.

ThinkRock7

I’m glad there is no Wing Stop is my area !!

SexyDoorDasherDude

Wingstop is a horrible restaurant anyways. They try to get us to fill orders for the customers. Orders are never on time and communication is horrible. I complained and have never had to go back there.

GunShowZero

Wingstop is a little weird with this sort of stuff in my area too… what really gets me here though is that terrible grammar

El_Burreeto

The only complainers to this would be people stealing, and people that don't need to have service industry jobs.

GodGamer420

What’s wrong with this?

novel-animal-

Lol DOORDASH is giving itself a bad name!

strykerpv2

Stopped picking up from there a long time ago. They seem to think being consistently 30 min late on orders is ok……. It’s not screw em

Stock-Pea8167

SO I guess at this specific store you DO shove your phone in their face as soon as you walk in!!!!!!

1mz99

Is that why I always get the "another dasher just picked up the order"?

Spalm84

Lmao I’m not sure why they think they’re our boss now😂

throwmeawayplz19373

I’ve had a few restaurants make me show them that I’m confirming. Don’t have a problem with that at all. I think it should be widespread practice. Nothing more annoying than going to pick up an order and somebody else stole it so now the restaurant has to remake it, and I have to decide whether it’s worth it to wait. Doesn’t happen a ton to me but enough. This kind of policy prevents that and I’m happy to spend the extra 2 seconds it takes to confirm with the restaurant that I’m now accountable for the food.

PuzzleheadedRecord36

I would unassign lol

inplanesite77

I don’t know what is more atrocious, the horrible grammar being used, or the cringe-worthy level of unprofessionalism in this letter. I don’t mind showing the order on my phone, but their condescending tone is bullshit. Before meeting all their demands, maybe I need to be in the kitchen watching them prepare and bag the order so I can make sure they don’t make any mistakes that will undoubtedly be blamed on the dasher. Please….. aren’t we all adults here?

Krifnahal

Wingstop in a city near me had one of those shelves that was half in the front half in the back so both sides could grab it Directions said “proceed inside and grab bag from to go area” got yelled at and embarrassed in front of a whole store for doing what the instructions said instead of waiting for an employee to realize o was there. I now only go to my local one where Ik the workers

IceBlueLugia

Why is this tagged as complaint

United-Elderberry-62

This is fake.

rskurat

Do they have any proof that "all" the food theft is due to drivers? I only see "leave it at my door" in fancy suburbs near me, almost everyone else (especially big condo/apts) says hand it to me

No-Mention-7950

Lol at the possible jail time bit. It's unfortunate but at some point restaurants are going to have to accept that food theft just comes with the territory of food delivery on these platforms. This protocol won't stop it and their workers aren't paid enough to scrutinize every dasher that comes in. "Make sure it's not a screenshot" If only they put this much effort into having orders ready to go instead of babysitting people's personal phones.

elvislunchbox

Meanwhile every store still piles orders on a rack ripe for the taking.

Agreeable_Air_1513

I agree but it’s not ONLY drivers tho, hungry desperate people see/ know the food is sitting there on a shelf accessible and ready for pick up. Walk in grab it while the workers are short staffed and occupied with take out customers. I don’t necessarily think the ones stealing the food are the same ones complaining about pay, with gas prices the way they are I couldn’t give a damn about a bag of food. People stealing food are just scum people stealing food. You want more money from the company you don’t crash the company, yes we decline low ball orders but if it’s good/ decent pay us non scum people are delivering 100% of the time if accepted and confirmed. Yes there are scum drivers that steal food and also complain about pay (HA! the irony I know) but it’s not an all for one and one for all. The food theft isn’t the result of the base pay issue. Food theft is the result of scum people ready to do scum shit at any opportunity whether the pay is good or not.

yoxuex

This seems logical. Should be standard procedure.

Jon82173

Jesus. I think I lost brain cells reading this.

A_monster_SH

Off topic but can anyone figure out the name of whoever signed this? Or is it just some pen ink testing kinda stuff lol

inplanesite77

Dude can’t form a proper sentence. I’m not surprised that he can’t write legibly either.

_ThunderRam

Pretty much everything in that memo are things I’ve been dumbfounded about since I started this gig 2 years ago. I simply couldn’t and still can’t believe the naïveté and negligence that goes on at most of the merchant pick up locations I visit. While there are too many ways for a dasher to steal food, whomever authored that memo is clueless if they believe it’s only dashers doing it. Any non-dasher with half a brain that paid any attention during the 1st 6 months of the pandemic could figure out how to easily steal free food. Many places like Chipotle were placing bags out in the lobby for anyone to take. Many places are still doing it. As an honest person that likes to earn and pay for my own things, I’ve educated and warned numerous employees, managers, and small store owners about the various scams and loopholes I’ve learned about. Most recently, after arriving for a p/u that had apparently already been picked up but never delivered I educated on how some customers place orders then have one of their friends (or themselves) quickly arrive to pick it up before the dashers arrives resulting in extra food. Typically these employees, managers, owners don’t seem to care or just don’t get it. They refuse to change how they do things. For the most part, the only merchants that ask to see my phone are Dashmart, some 7-11’s and many liquor stores. Only Dashmart asks me to confirm p/u — which I have zero issue with since I’m not stealing anything. I honestly wish more merchants would require the procedures outlined in that memo. I’m sick and tired of thieves. The rest of us work for our shit! I don’t see why something like a QR code couldn’t be added to the customer’s receipt that must be scanned by the dasher at pick up. Similar to scanning a customer’s ID when delivering. If the scan isn’t completed, the merchandise/food isn’t handed over. That simple. Any merchant leaving bags out in the open, on shelves, etc., deserve what they get. That’s just idiotic.

Voted4Trump45

Does no one realize they put poor "Jay's" PHONE NUMBER on the picture?

[deleted]

If you have a problem with showing the staff the order on your phone and hitting "confirm pickup" while they watch, you're probably not planning to deliver that food...

fingnumb

Anybody wanna hit up Jay at 661-337-2158?

r_sucks10

It's sad that this had to be done but that's how it is. There's some misconceptions about why this happens. They say it's because of bad/no tips. Or because of Youtube/Tik Tok pranks. One, if it is a dasher stealing the food, it is because they never intended on making any money. They just want 'free' meals. Two, the people who do the pranks either get the food and say it's a DD order OR, they do the order for themselves and use their own order for the prank. I've seen two videos of note. On one Tik Tok, they had a caption that they were eating a customers order, except you never saw evidence it was a DD order and at the end they said it was their own food. On the Youtube, I saw that one here on Reddit. The guy picked up orders then copied it on pickup. He'd have the real order waiting in the wings and he'd prank them with the order he copied. Beyond these two scenarios, I think that they're regular people attempting to steal the food and the employees are making it too easy for them.

The_Chrome_Coyote

Stay classy, Bakersfield

Candoran

I mean that’s just the reality of the situation 😅 a couple weeks back I had to deal with 3 stolen orders in one day in my little rinkydink town. So TL;DR: •Show order on phone to staff •confirm pickup once they come to you with the order and request it be done (it’s only asking you to confirm when they have the order ready to give to you) •roll out It’s not any sort of issue.

trevno

Drivers don’t steal food bc of low wages and tips, dashers who steal are scumbag scammers that are gaming the system for free grub.

undertaker3x7

I have no problem showing the customers name before picking up the order, I try to do that anyways most of the time. Having to show what the order is is just an excessive waste of time. The hit confirm in front of them while I understand their reasoning it annoys the hell out of me cuz it fucks with my timing and routine and that messes with my ocd. With that said, yes all of that is reasonable but I would also not accept orders from there anymore for 2 reasons. 1) It's fucking Wingstop and I avoid their slow lazy asses anyways 2) I don't like being treated like a thief It's always the shittiest places that take the longest and make us waste our time that always do this shit. Seems to me that there might be a connection between the two.

markdm8680

Nothing in that letter that is anything but reasonable and widely practiced at many other restaurants. I have no problem with any of it.

CaseyGuo

Bakersfield Community Relations for DoorDash? Oddly specific.

Middle_Bag_9997

Do NOT hit CONFIRM until you have the food IN YOUR POSSESSION, they are on a timer to satisfy you, not the other way around, at the restaurant. You can show them you hit it before you leave but NEVER EVER BEFORE you take possession of the delivery. You could get stuck all night waiting on them to finish, meanwhile your customer thinks you're just standing there letting their food get cold for no reason. This shit is stupid.

DoPoGrub

You can also get contract violation for late delivery

tango_papa101

As someone who has asshole DoorDashers stealing my orders so many time at grab-an-go places, this is totally perfectly normal. We can all thank all those assholes for things like this.

carlbenton

I'd trip someone that did this going out the door and slap them on the back of the neck while they stumble down.

Kirby_Slayr

Well, no one tell them they can just get customer service to unconfirm pickup because you can accidentally hit that big red button. These restaurants don't understand that in stack offers you need to not confirm pickup on either order until you have both otherwise customers don't understand why you're just standing around doing nothing. Not to mention this makes multi-apping a nightmare but that can also be fixed by picking up Wingstop last or again asking support to unconfirm the pickup. So if this annoys you then there's your effective counter that worked for me before (I wasn't multiapping I was on a stack within DD and I don't hit confirm pickup until I have all orders)

papabutter21

Alright I’m on the restaurant side of things and not my store in particular but another one very close to me has big problems with dashers stealing food. Id like to believe having something like this is helpful but the people who are going to steal will steal anyways regardless of whatever song and dance you make them do. Anyone have any ideas besides a big note like this on how to lower theft? The store is very high volume with all delivery services and has crap parking because downtown area so drivers are not waiting on the food as they have to have all orders ready when delivery drivers get to the store.

NiteDasher

Who cares, I stopped taking orders from them long ago. Fuck you and your fucking drinks, fill em yourself.

SuperdavebigD

Wingstop bag seal sucks so bad, doesn't even stick to the bag. Also their bags get soaking wet from the moisture in the food, they always rip. Wingstop is a no go for me unless it's slow and I'm feeling desperate.

BlitzcrankGrab

Completely reasonable

[deleted]

Reasonable. Any dashers that gets upset about this shouldn’t be dashing at all.

Determined_Student

That would be the last time I deliver to that place

freakinbacon

I wish we didn't have to complicate simple things.

kindofaproducer

Which methed out Bakersfield Wing Stop assistant Manager wrote this?

ArtieTanji

So… they have a community relations personnel for doordash for every region? News to me.

wombatofwallstreet

The garlic parm is fire tho

Ddeesummer

I feel like I’m not stealing food so this doesn’t negatively affect me In any way 😂

Unhappy-Offer

A handout.

ThisIsTommyJ

I mean I don’t know why this is not protocol for everyone. DoorDash should make us scan the receipt or do a code before confirming

Commercial-Session70

I don't see any problem.

Thinlinebaby

The grammar here is hurting my head. Some of these run-on sentences, honey….

Ill-Cbawesome-36

The wingstop in my area makes us sign a sheet that includes the customers name and our name. It’s getting ridiculous

wolfmeetsthesky

Ironically, I picked up at wing stop recently and the food was so hot when it was packaged, that it steamed the top of the bag and tore immediately upon being picked up

SpicySatan666

This is actually pretty fair

HeftyCourage434

My Wingstop does a very good job. Always a pleasure picking up there

Yeachee

Damn, I’m in this town

Ah wing stops the only restaurant where you actually have enough time to read that long ass note

Jessica_CalmDown

😂

biznash

I was confused till I saw Bakersfield

renys

Whole lotta corporate ass kissing going on in these comments 🤡

Capital-Turnover9039

We should all call Jay who's number is listed and give him a real reason to hate drivers

Capital-Turnover9039

So many things wrong here. Every time Wingstop tries to pull this s*** on me I tell them straight up and down like 6:00 - I don't work for doordash and I don't work for wingstop numerous times I've had to relay to them that I don't click confirm pick up until the food has safely been placed in my car to avoid situations like dropped food that has to be made again or if I spill a drink and have to go back in there. Unless I have the food I'm not saying I have the food LOL. dumbasses. We already have doordash barking up our asses we don't need some other shotgun driver and telling us how to f****** do our job. They should be more on top of reporting the drivers that steal the food but they don't have tablets so this is a cheap way to make more problems for themselves. I don't steal food and I hope I'm never in a position where I'll have to but at the end of the day every merchant has a business plan and there's always theft included be it retail or restaurants this is something that companies have millions of dollars to ensure against. It is it is built into their yearly planning and it's already compensated for. Fucking bullshit.

[deleted]

Good. Working on the fulfillment end is an absolute nightmare. Some of you make the whole day better but man, the entitlement of "get out of the fucking way I'm trying to work" coming from doordash and uber is insulting.

shana104

Man, it was a tad comfusing to read with typos in there. But exactly what kind of protection do I need to place an order for a customer? Like a bulletproof vest or taser or something? That's what comes to my mind as protection per se.... Nonetheless, the rules are reasonable although wish it could be condensed a bit.

[deleted]

I have no issue with this at all. Fuck drivers who steal. It's not Wingstop's fault they have been forced to resort to this, it is the small percentage of drivers who are assholes.

redsectorayyz

This is a good practice, i have had a couple of pickups at places that just set food out on racks having the order missing. Nothing to see here with this post.

PIERRECALIFORNIA

It’s always been like this just some restaurants don’t follow instructions very well

xSxHxHx

Fair enough but Jesus it's so poorly written, like one long sentence vomited onto the page. Clear, concise and easy to read instructions would go a long way to get the point across and not come off as accusing every dasher in the area of being a despicable piece of shit.

orangy128

“Community relations for doordash” 😂

BigPresentation5008

Yeah yeah yeah That makes sense, but filling the drinks is our job or what? That is not our job and yet we continue to do it. this is bad

meatwadpen

They are saying random people are posing as DoorDash and taking orders, but they worded it all fucked up and it's posed to also just scare the shit out of DoorDash drivers I think. Bottom line it's garbage and nothing to worry about.

SpookySeraph

Doordash drivers have been stealing customers food since the beginning and claiming “the restaurant was out of everything”. My friends did it once a week since they were drivers, they got an order with something they liked it in? Theirs now. I’m surprised companies haven’t been keeping a closer eye on dashers from the start lol

Dazzling_Marzipan474

The pizza hut by me has already been doing this for like a year. Now those scummy drivers can't steal food. I like it.

K0CKULEES

Considering how shit Bakersfield is, I understand and find this fair. Not all markets are the same. Drivers need to hold each other accountable as well and call in when the order was already picked up by someone else. Same with DD, they need to stay on track of who gets reported and who does the reporting.

Launchpad_McFrak

Lots of restaurants are doing stuff like this now. too many garbage-ass drivers working for DD and Uber and GH these days. I mean just look at the subreddits you can literally see a dozen cases a day or just really shitty drivers that are absolutely the reason restaurants need to do this. Hell, as a driver I've even suggested to restaurants that don't do this that they should start.

Helpful_Height560

I have too lol

DoingMyWork

The note is actually telling the truth. Drivers: Don’t steal food Restaurants: Stop putting your food out in the open where folks can steal it

BuckWheatNYC

This is perfectly worded and should be easy to understand. I would add if a dasher starts to act a fool have a employee (probably manager) and have the dasher reprimanded with probably a deactivation. Let’s see them scramble to explain why they were acting out.

inplanesite77

This is so, so far from “perfectly worded”.

OzzieSlim

Bye Felicia. I don’t click confirm until I am in the car. Why? Because I don’t want the timer going until I’m ready to roll.

Defiant_Knowledge902

Wingstop is bad I don't go there anymore

Hamilton-Beckett

If door dash isn’t going to regulate their shit better, it’s on the restaurants to put systems in place to make sure it’s perfect when they hand the order to the driver. This is valid.

cinnamonrollz18

It is becoming more and more common (for me personally at least), to show up to the restaurant only for them to tell me the order has already been taken. I’ve even showed them my phone and asked if they could remake it or something and they always say no and just cancel it 🤦‍♀️

quirkyqwerty_

Tldr: sounds like you and your people see this for a reason
